About Gordon Wilkin

Gordon Wilkin is a Chartered Physiotherapist, Strength and Conditioning Coach, and Sports Masseur who has been practising at ESP Physio since 2016. With a broad background spanning sport and private practice, he brings a well-rounded and performance-focused approach to injury management. Gordon has a particular interest in the prevention and rehabilitation of injury, helping clients not only recover effectively but also build resilience and optimise long-term performance.

He holds a BSc (Hons) in Strength and Conditioning from Abertay University and an MSc in Physiotherapy from Glasgow Caledonian University. This dual qualification enables him to combine detailed clinical assessment and diagnosis with evidence-based rehabilitation and structured performance training. His approach bridges the gap between treatment and performance, ensuring clients return to activity stronger and more confident.

Gordon’s skill set includes dry needling and medical acupuncture, kinesiology taping, sports massage, soft tissue therapy, and tailored strength and conditioning programmes. Whether working with athletes or individuals managing everyday injuries, he provides personalised, goal-driven care.

Outside the clinic, Gordon is passionate about the outdoors. He enjoys mountaineering, climbing, hill running, wild swimming, kayaking, and wild camping.

Gordon was very knowledge when I visited for my recent injury. He took the time to gain as much information as possible to make the right assessment and had patience showing me the appropriate exercises to work through inbetween sessions. I had dislocated my shoulder mountain biking and he had me back on the bike within only a few weeks
