I have been a patient of Dr. Urquhart for several years while working through the long-term effects of complex trauma, late diagnosed neurodivergence and profound life challenges. Through analytical psychotherapy and EMDR, he has helped me find steadiness during some of the most difficult periods of my life. His ability to understand what lies beneath the surface, to hear what isn’t said and recognise what others miss, has been central to my progress. Our work together has also helped me uncover the root causes of physical symptoms I had struggled with for most of my adult life, which no medical practitioner had ever been able to explain. Since addressing these issues in therapy, these episodes have significantly reduced. What I value most is his calm, steady presence and his deep understanding of human needs. Perhaps for the first time in my life, I'm beginning to meet myself, and learning to accept myself for who I am. The transition to Mourne Private Clinic has been seamless. The staff are warm, organised and professional, creating an environment that supports the therapeutic work beautifully. I would highly recommend Dr. Urquhart and the clinic to anyone seeking thoughtful, skilled and compassionate care. And, finally, there is no shame in therapy. My mother had hospital admission for a condition that seemed to be heart/BP related. Dizziness, headaches, palpitations. However, during discussions with the hospital team they suggested an inner ear problem (having ruled out heart/BP issues). Mr. Singh had an excellent website ( https://1st-ent.com) which set out his area of expertise and experience. I filled in a simple online request and received an immediate response from his clinical administrator who was exceptional in arranging an appointment and dealing with the follow-up. We saw Mr. Singh at Bishops Wood Hospital. Mr. Singh was outstanding; he was clear in explaining in simple terms the nature of the problem, the management strategy, and what further investigations were needed and why. The primary diagnosis was vestibular migraines. The condition had caused so much worry and anxiety which made the condition harder to manage. A series of exercises were recommended. The exercises made a difference. Mr. Singh was patient, focused through the consultation and follow-up. It was so reassuring to meet him and benefit from his expertise. I highly recommend Mr. Singh.

I was ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED that the misleading named "Disabled" toilet is still used as a storage centre. I have formally complained about this to the CEO after struggling on a number of occasions to assist my elderly disabled mother. It is too cramped to get a wheelchair and carer in there. Having moved items out into the corridor I then struggled to transfer her from her wheelchair. Naturally she was getting more & more anxious to get on the toilet, knowing that she was about to see a consultant. I suggested to the anxious person outside that he ask to use another toilet. This is a private hospital, built AFTER the Disability Discrimination Act. How did this even pass building regulations & considered acceptable? All the designer had to do was to go next door & copy the design of the disabled toilet in QEQM. We were under enough stress having to attend the hospital appointment.This just compounded the stress for my mother and me. PLEASE attend to this ongoing problem. Why is it taking so long? UTTER DISGRACE & INSULTING to all disabled people and their carers.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Honestly blown away by this service I’m nearly 80 now, and I can’t even count how many doctor visits I’ve had in my life, but MyDoctor by Northern Health honestly left me a bit blown away. I wasn’t expecting much — you get used to being rushed through at my age — but I came off the call feeling like someone had finally taken the time to actually explain my own health to me. It felt different from the moment it started. No rushing, no talking over me, no making me feel like I was being dramatic. Just calm, proper care. I felt listened to in a way I haven’t in years. I actually felt like… well, like a person again, not someone they’re trying to hurry out the door. For the first time I understand what’s been setting things off, and what I need to do next time before it all gets too much. That alone is worth gold to me. I’ve been muddling along for years without this clarity. I’m honestly amazed. At my age you don’t expect to be surprised by much anymore, but this really did it. I’ll absolutely be using MyDoctor again — I wish I’d found it sooner.

A month ago I had the arthrosamid injection. I had never heard of it and initially I went online to find out how others were treating their oesteoarthritis. I found the Joint Clinic quite quickly and was amazed to read that this injection would last about 3 years rather than 3 months for the NHS cortisol injection. My knee was causing a lot of pain especially when the weather changed. I was unable to walk properly, I couldn't walk up or down stairs. My work involves walking and I really thought I would have to retire because of the pain. From day 2 of the injection, I was beginning to walk without as much pain, about 2 weeks later I wasn't limping or experiencing pain at all. It took about 3 weeks to be able to walk up and down stairs without pain. I no longer need anti inflammatory drugs (that was always hit or miss if they would work). I am very pleased with the outcome at the one month mark and I hope my knee pain is no more for years!

The appointment itself was very positive. Dr. Robert Gordon was calm, validating, and genuinely listened. The room was quiet, warm, and set up like a cosy study, which made it feel safe rather than clinical. He explained the diagnostic impressions clearly at the end in a way that finally made sense, and it didn’t feel dismissive. I left feeling understood in a way I haven’t experienced with other services, although the level of positivity felt unexpected and left me a bit uncertain about how to interpret it. The only issue was the arrival process. My appointment was in the late evening, and reception was closed. It wasn’t clear where to check in, and I had no phone signal. I had to rely on Wi-Fi and the website photos to work out where to wait. Overall, despite the initial uncertainty about the building, the clinical experience was extremely positive. Everything went smoothly, and the assessment itself was very professional.

Overall this was a good experience, I had a combined assessment via NHS right to choose. I liked that I was seen in person for this. The wait times were much longer than initially expected however I believe there was a huge influx of patients at the same time that I was referred. The assessments themselves were good with understanding and knowledgeable assessors. The report which I have received is in depth although I did think there may be a professionals insight into the early developmental questionnaire whereas it is just copied into the report. I had a few queries about the report which I am waiting on the answer to and also have asked for it to be sent to my GP which hasn't been done yet but again, this is the lacking wait times. Apart from the wait times, the service was great and I am thankful for their help. I think my referral was made in March 2025 and I am writing this review in December 2025.

I was really pleased to become one of Mr Tai's patients, as he had been strongly recommended by my physiotherapist as the best person to do a replacement hip operation for me. He is ideal for me as I have a knee problem on the same leg, and as Mr Tai is a specialist for both knees and hips, we could openly discuss the most appropriate way of dealing with both problems, in a way I could understand. After only a week since the operation, I am already walking well (with sticks) and am looking forward to being so much better than I was before the operation. My operation was at Pinehill , Hitchin (a private hospital, but I am an NHS patient). The staff at the hospital were kind, helpful, supportive and attentive. The hospital was very modern and clean, the food was really good. I have no hesitation recommending Mr Tai. Thank you very much, Mr Tai, and the staff at Pinehill

Mr Corbett was very friendly , examined my shoulder and then gave me a very clear explanation of what could be causing the pain. I have spinal issues too and Mr Corbett took these fully into account, even including my spinal neurosurgeon in on his clinic letter to me, which was in my email in box by the time i got home 1 hr after my appointment !!! this is very helpful for me as im finding it hard to type. I have a scan over the weekend - Thursday today - then a review with Mr Corbett with scan results on monday morning. Amazing . Very good medical care , fast and focused .
