About Dr. Kirsty Schmidt
Dr Kirsty Schmidt is an experienced GP who has worked extensively in the local area at a number of GP practices since 2009, as well as for the extended hours service. She remains involved in teaching allied healthcare professionals in training and sitting on the Local Medical Committee means she can stay up to date with local and national GP issues.
She graduated from The University of Leicester in 2004 and went on to work in Warwick for a year before moving to Surrey where she worked in Paediatrics for several years before completing her GP training at Kingston Hospital. During this time she gained experience in medicine, obstetrics and gynaecology, as well as working at the Princess Alice Hospice in Esher.
Dr Schmidt enjoys caring for patients of all ages and getting to know all members of the family to provide them with holistic care.
She has a particular interest in paediatrics, especially paediatric allergy.

Dr Kirsty Schmidt was delightful and extremely helpful at my recent appointment. Impossible to get an appointment at our Gp, I turned to her with two problems, left knee , can’t walk, extremely painful, and ? Rotator cuff problem. She arranged appointment’s with two surgeons, at first trying to obtain them back to back on the same day to avoid me attending twice. This was not possible. I got two a day apart Perfect
Dr Schmit listened carefully and quickly diagnosed the situstion.. She was excellent
You very swiftly organised for a specialist to see me on the day which was really appreciated. He organised an ultrasound of liver and middle stomach area which was normal and gave me great reassurance. It still doesn’t explain where the pain comes from. Is it a nerve or muscle in the right ribcage?

First class medical help with a lingering problem. Clear explanations and resolutions. It’s what doctoring used to be like when I was young.
