When I first went to Harley Hearing, I was scared. I was on an unknown path that I really didn’t want to go on. But I knew I had to. From my first visit, about 8 years ago, I was put at ease. I was still trying to pretend, to myself, that I didn’t need that much help though! But everyone there has both supported me and encouraged me. They have explained what was going on, and that has helped me to make the correct decisions about my own treatment. When I realised I really did need a cochlear implant, they guided me. I saw an ENT consultant -someone else who took his time to explain everything it involved. I was never pressured but I knew I had to do it. Both before and post surgery which was done only 3 weeks ago, I have been supported. Everyone’s patience and kindness went beyond what I had expected. My GP had arranged an emergency MRI check for me as a result of a recent head injury. My appointment time got changed three times. I was 10 minutes ahead of schedule to my appointment. The initial doctor visit was prompt and thorough. My MRI appointment was for 6:30 PM but I finally got going at 7:30 PM. An hour wait in a private hospital priding itself in quality of service is unacceptable. I had to repeatedly ask why there was a delay. Finally when I arrived at the MRI room I was told that there was an urgent patient who was put ahead of me taking my slot. All they had to do was to communicate this to me instead of the constant wait. I had to wait for another 15 minutes to remove the injection line placed in my vein and it only got removed when I threatened to leave with it!

From start to finish, the experience was excellent. The administrative team were responsive and kind, making the booking process and all communication very easy. On the day of the colonoscopy, the reception staff were welcoming and efficient, and the waiting time was short. The nurse team explained every step clearly and made sure I felt comfortable throughout. Dr Amit Gera took the time to go over everything again before the procedure, which was very reassuring. I recently had a tooth extraction carried out by DR. Tanvi Bagtharia and I must say that the whole exercise was handled most efficiently. She took the time to explain the whole procedure and also advised that she would check up in a few days to make sure that every thing was ok. I had no discomfort or pain during the operation and I have remained pain free ever since. True to her word she emailed me a few days later to check that everything was ok. Nuffield health Cambridge Hospital was in my case the best place I could have wished for to have my operation. Prior to my op I attended on many occasions for X-rays and scans etc and I was very well looked after and the staff could not have been anymore polite or helpful. On the day of my procedure I was extremely well cared for and I am very thankful to the staff who looked after me. I certainly would like to return to Nuffield Cambridge Hospital in the near future should I need any further treatments.

I found Dr Brincat to be very professional with an extensive knowledge of his field. He has a very compassionate, approachable manner. He took the time to explain my test results clearly, making the process much less daunting, whilst also giving me the time to ask questions. I was also able to obtain an appointment with him quickly, via his lovely, efficient PA Fiona. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Brincat if you need a renal specialist.

Mr Nettleton, is a superb surgeon. I visited him as he was the first surgeon to complete aquablation surgery in the Southwest, Midlands or Wales. I was also aware that he runs a UK training centre for aquablation and that he is the highest volume surgeon in the region having an NHS and private practice. I had high expectations and my experience has been absolutely fantastic. He comes highly recommended.

He explained that he may not get my leg straight as it had been for about 15 years … but he got it straight so I was very pleased . The staff were great from nurse, HCA’s & catering staff .

I’ve been coming to LOC at Chelsea for 12 months after my breast cancer diagnosis and I couldn’t be in better hands for my treatments. All the nurses are so friendly and fantastic at their jobs. The facility is excellent with clean and comfortable rooms/ bays and the food is very good also. I would highly recommend LOC to my friends and family.

Had asked in advance for gluten free food kept getting gluten or no clarity. Tea coffee making facility for guests patients is unsafe & ineffective. Care is good. Staff are caring and well trained. Food and beverage still leaves room for improvement especially for any special requirements.
