I would like to raise a concern regarding my recent care for recurrent kidney stones. Firstly, I would like to highlight that Dr Fadi was excellent during my appointment. He explained the situation clearly and appeared genuinely committed to supporting his patients as much as possible. My complaint is not about his conduct, but about the overall approach to managing my condition. I am extremely concerned by the apparent lack of focus on prevention and follow-up for recurrent kidney stones. Several years ago, I passed a kidney stone and brought it to my urology appointment. I was told that no analysis would be done and that I could simply discard it. This was very disappointing, as analysing the stone could have identified the underlying cause and potentially helped prevent future episodes. Since then, I have continued to experience kidney stone episodes, yet there still appears to be no proactive plan to investigate why this keeps happening or how it can be prevented. Kidney stones are not a trivial issue; they can escalate rapidly and cause severe pain and complications. In this sense, they feel like a “time bomb”. I was also disappointed by the structure of my recent appointment. I requested time off work with the expectation that necessary tests or scans would be carried out on the same day. Instead, the appointment lasted less than ten minutes, and I am now required to wait again for a separate scan. This long and fragmented process adds unnecessary stress and delays diagnosis and management. I believe patients with recurrent kidney stones deserve a more preventative, joined-up approach, including stone analysis, timely investigations, and clear follow-up plans. I would appreciate clarification on why preventative measures are not routinely pursued and how my care can be improved going forward.

It is always a pleasant experiance meeting Dr Shah for the consultation, despite the nature of the visit. The structure is generally clear and does well at providing patient confidence. To begin with, Dr Shah will listen to us and how we are feeling, how the treatment is developing, understanding and addressing any concerns we may have. All of this provides important patient validation which makes us feel included in the process. Dr Shah will therefore discuss the plan logically moving forward and why, and just clarifying we understand what everything entails. Discussions are open and are pivitol for my treatment, yet also for my wife Lisa, as we can feel confident in a realistic way what to expect and are to be addressing. As I say, all of our visits have been pleasat and comfortable.

My most recent visit was a post-surgery appointment. The purpose was to assess my progress and to provide advice and , in my case, a lot of reassurance that I will make a full recovery. Everything went well. Mr. Ibrahim was very factual and reassuring. I left the appointment feeling less stressed, confident that I will return to my being very active. My overall experience under Mr.Ibrahim's care has been positively memorable. He is very professional, calm, friendly and knowledgable. His support team is excellent! Amira was my contact. She was friendly, professional and pretty much perfect. She moved heaven and earth to ensure everything was in place pre and post - surgery. Dealing with Mr. Ibrahim and Amira has been an absolute pleasure.

Mr Skyrme has been amazing since my first consultation. Following 9 months of sudden severe hip pain which totally curtailed walking and diminished a lot of my activity, I was very desperate to find a solution as I’m super sporty and keeping fit and active is a huge part of my life and my work. It transpired that I needed a hip replacement (at 42) but Mr Skyrme was amazing. My surgery was quick and I recovered really quickly. I was able to return to my physical job at 6 weeks post surgery and I am enjoying increasing amounts of exercise both in the gym and on my bikes. I’m so grateful that I’m able to get back to enjoying my life:-) Mr Skyrme has been super supportive, kind and caring throughout my whole journey!

I had a online assessment, I was seen by Wioleta Cholewinska. She was really lovely, welcoming and put me at ease. She made me feel comfortable and was understanding and listened very well. The longest waiting part was from filling out the forms to the assessment, but even tho this was a wait, I was expecting it to be a lot longer than it was so that’s great. The actual booking of my assessment was super quick and easy. They sent me a date and time that was for an appointment within 14days of them sending me the appointment details. I’ve heard this can be a lot longer elsewhere so I was surprised about this in a good way.

The waiting area had few chairs and not enough for the people waiting. The people around there that gave me paperwork and told me where to wait, were polite and helpful. The appointment with the consultant was really distressing, I couldn't ask questions and didn't discussed with me the plan, just set up steps without getting me involved on her treatment plan. This experience was very negative from what I expected when you go to a professional asking for advice and reviewing if your body is working well. My son had a surgical extraction and the procedure was very calm and relaxed for him. I was able to be there too, so I watched the whole procedure and was very impressed at how clean the procedure was, resulting in a positive experience and successful extraction, ahead of upcoming orthodontic work. Waiting times weren't too long, although for private treatment we had hoped to be seen a little sooner than we were. The practice staff were friendly and very welcoming and high standards were evident throughout, in terms of hygiene and care. My son has no pain and is recovering well.

The therapists and dietitians are very passionate about helping patients and clearly have a genuine desire to help people. The group therapy sessions and the structure of the day was very helpful in helping my recovery. When I first came I was a bit confused about a lot of things and maybe communication in terms of meals and rules etc could be better explained in a more compassionate manner. The other patients and staff are the most wonderful lovely people and I am so grateful to have met them.

All staff, including the receptionist, were very nice and helpful. The hospital waiting areas and the consulting room were very clean and well maintained. There were unlimited free hot drinks and water available for waiting patients. Whilst the hospital does not have a car park, there was plenty of on-street parking available (charges varying up to £6.50 for 4 hours - enforced until 8pm), even on a busy Friday traffic wise after 4pm, when I arrived.

I am now recovering and sleeping properly again. I can not thank him or recommend him enough!

She is highly professional and user friendly, always getting to the point of my illness and best treatment. My recent visit typified our relationship and I felt better within four days of her prescribing the necessary treatment. I would have no hesitation in recommending her as an outstanding GP.

All the staff on the ward, theatre and recovery were very friendly and helpful. I was in room 5 and while l waited in the theatre gown I was cold. I was asked to change 3 hours before I was called to theatre. I noticed one of the radiators was not working which I reported on discharge. The actual procedure went very well and was kept informed of all things that were happening.
