I feel very fortunate to have had my chemotherapy and radiotherapy at GenesisCare Cambridge. The standard of care is excellent and everyone at the clinic is friendly and welcoming. While spotlessly clean with fantastic facilities the centre doesn't feel overly clinical. I really like the holistic approach to treatment at GenesisCare and particularly benefited from the exercise medicine clinic which took me from gym phobic to regular gym goer with huge benefits for my physical and emotional wellbeing. GenesisCare go above and beyond to make treatment less arduous, from providing really comprehensive support to prevent or mitigate unpleasant side effects to offering a complimentary taxi service to and from radiotherapy sessions. Another plus of GenesisCare is that the consultations are never rushed - there is always time for questions and I particularly appreciated my consultant taking time to talk me through the treatment options and providing really clear answers to all my questions.

Dr. Robert Gordon

The appointment itself was very positive. Dr. Robert Gordon was calm, validating, and genuinely listened. The room was quiet, warm, and set up like a cosy study, which made it feel safe rather than clinical. He explained the diagnostic impressions clearly at the end in a way that finally made sense, and it didn’t feel dismissive. I left feeling understood in a way I haven’t experienced with other services, although the level of positivity felt unexpected and left me a bit uncertain about how to interpret it. The only issue was the arrival process. My appointment was in the late evening, and reception was closed. It wasn’t clear where to check in, and I had no phone signal. I had to rely on Wi-Fi and the website photos to work out where to wait. Overall, despite the initial uncertainty about the building, the clinical experience was extremely positive. Everything went smoothly, and the assessment itself was very professional.

I went to OSD Hemel Hempstead to get my cast removed following my rhinoplasty. When we got there, we were taken straight to the room & were left there for about 20mins for the nurse to find the equipment, upon her return the appointment was rushed and no information was provided for my aftercare. I was asking many questions however, she seemed reluctant to answer any (as simple as, how long do I need to tape for - she couldn’t answer). Following a conversation with my surgeons direct nurse, I found out that the nurse at OSD had not taped my nose correctly, nor removed the glue from my face. I felt rushed out of the appointment & not very well looked after. My surgeon came to review my nose post cast removal which was reassuring & he mentioned that the OSD nurse would provide me with all the information I’d need - she did not.

Overall experience with Dorset Heart Clinic is excellent. We telephoned to book the appointment and able to choose the time that is convenient to us. As a self funded patient, the appointment is very speedy. Administrator is also very informative and helpful including parking. The consultation is very informative and reassuring. We have chosen to see the consultant that we have seen via the NHS as he would be familiar with our condition. The emails followed up also very quick and timely with the consultation report for us to keep for our records. Any concerns have been dealt with swiftly. Overall, a very good experience and have already booked a follow up next month. Thank you Dr Chahal and thank you Tim.

Impossible to speak to anyone in Cambridge which was very frustrating. am used to being seen privately and this did not come up to the usual standard. Although the staff were very polite and friendly I felt that nobody was sure what to do and did not fill me with confidence. I have never gone privately and only seen the surgeon on the day of the operation with no follow up appointment with the actual surgeon. I was left with a cut on the skin to the left of my eye and an indentation across my eyebrow which I feel had probably been caused by the clamp used to keep my eyelid open. I was left feeling that for some reason the private sector in Cambridge was struggling. A great pity.

Dr Arani Sridhar

Dr Sridhar is an amazing, exceptional doctor. He’s very kind and caring to my son. He takes his time to explain things to us, especially to my wife who struggled with English. We don’t feel rushed in appointments and have always put us at ease, especially with all the medication my son has had to take and the surgeries he’s had as a child. His expertise and kindness has made all the difficult times easy for us. During Covid he always made time for us by telephone, when everything was on lock down, which was amazing as our son was immune suppressed and we were worried for him. Dr Sridhar is an outstanding doctor and We are truly grateful, he’s our doctor.

My son was seen by Mr Matthew Ward for chronic rhinitis and Eustachian tube dysfunction, and the care we received was excellent. Mr Ward took the time to listen to all of my son’s symptoms, explained everything in a clear and reassuring way, and made my son feel completely at ease throughout the appointment. He was thorough, professional, and compassionate, and we left with a clear plan and much more confidence moving forward. I’m very grateful for his help and would highly recommend Mr Matthew Ward to any parent dealing with similar concerns.

Mr Oliver did a total knee replacement on my right knee twelve years ago at the William Harvey Hospital in Ashford. I knew, without a doubt, that I would like him to perform the same operation on my left knee. As before Mr Oliver was very easy to relate and talk to about my knee and any problems that may arise. As before he was friendly, whilst remaining professional, as were all his team. Everything was explained to me in a way I could understand and comprehend. I would not hesitate in recommending him to anyone having this operation.

My visit was for a. Medical and Chester Step test before commencing work in the offshore wind sector . Over the last 15 or so years, having had a number of treatments and surgeries in various medical specialities, I would not go anywhere other than the London Independent Hospital. They always have world class doctors in all specialities at the hospital, the staff are amazing, the nurses experienced and empathetic. I hope never to visit a hospital again, but if I do need treatment, the London Independent Hospital is at the top of my list.

Dr Everitt is thorough and explains his views with great clarity. He listens with compassion and when possible is reassuring. I genuinely feel that my treatment plan is personalised. His clinical letter with notes from our consultation was sent to me quickly and the consultation itself was helpful in addressing my recent concerns. Nurses were all keen to offer care, and talk, which I appreciated, it's easy to get in your own head, and I appreciated the distraction! One thing I would comment on is that there is always a long wait. I was asked to arrive at 8:30am, but I didn't actually have my procedure until 10:30, which gave lots of time to think. A more streamlined appointment process would be helpful

Had to have two fillings today with Mafalda. It’s the first time ever that I can attend a dentist have my teeth done and not feel nervous. The whole experience from all the staff is amazing. It’s more like visiting a spa than a dentist. They make you feel so relaxed and at ease. I never thought I would love going to the dentist. Well done to all the team and thank you. Xx

He took the time to explain and listen, which is sadly something that lacked with a previous consultation.
