For 6 years I have been suffering with severe abdominal pain, I have been in and out of hospital over this period of time, having seen many doctors & consultants, had multiple scans and tests etc, was put on too many medications to name, nobody picked up what the problem really was, that was until I met Dr Raza, and thank God I did! From the first scan he performed, he diagnosed Endometriosis, this had never been mentioned to me, his diagnosis was stage 3 deep infiltrating endometriosis, Dr Raza has performed robotic surgery to clear the disease, having said one of the worst cases he has ever dealt with. Approaching 4 weeks post op, I have just been to see Dr Raza, and he is over the moon at how incredible my wound has healed, one incision only via the belly button, he was really proud of his work, and absolutely so he should be, to me, he is my hero, he is truly one of the most gentle men I have ever met, along with his nurse Denia, who has been my rock throughout my recovery period. I cannot advocate Dr Raza enough, 6 years of my life totally wasted backwards and forwards in and out of hospital to no avail, until now, thank you Dr Raza and Denia, for making my future look so very much brighter, you are my saviour, and I’m proud to call myself your patient. Thank you for everything and I would not hesitate to come back to you if I need too❤️

I feel very fortunate to have had my chemotherapy and radiotherapy at GenesisCare Cambridge. The standard of care is excellent and everyone at the clinic is friendly and welcoming. While spotlessly clean with fantastic facilities the centre doesn't feel overly clinical. I really like the holistic approach to treatment at GenesisCare and particularly benefited from the exercise medicine clinic which took me from gym phobic to regular gym goer with huge benefits for my physical and emotional wellbeing. GenesisCare go above and beyond to make treatment less arduous, from providing really comprehensive support to prevent or mitigate unpleasant side effects to offering a complimentary taxi service to and from radiotherapy sessions. Another plus of GenesisCare is that the consultations are never rushed - there is always time for questions and I particularly appreciated my consultant taking time to talk me through the treatment options and providing really clear answers to all my questions.

I had a hip replacement in 2011 at just 47 years of age. For two years it was good but then became problematic. I revisited my original surgeon on numerous occasions, had numerous X rays, scans and injections but to no avail. After some 7/8 years of this I was removed from list as I was told there was no issue with the hip itself. Some 2 years later the pain had gotten worse and so I referred myself back to Broadgreen Hospital. Fortunately for me this time under Mr UI Islam. He reviewed scans, X rays etc and quickly identified that hip joint had dropped hence the issues I was having. He explained the potential risks of further surgery and we decided it was worth the risk. 3 days after surgery in what he tells me was a fairly complex operation I was out of hospital. Hip is better than it has been in 15 years. I am so grateful to Mr UI Islam and could not speak highly enough of him. I have a life back because of him.

I am 6 weeks post back decompression surgery. Having suffered for 18months I was recommend to see Carl Hardwidge and wow am I pleased I did! He has literally changed my life which had become so miserable with constant pain. I saw Carl 3 times before I had the surgery and never once was I rushed and he explained everything in detail that was going to happen. Carl really is the easiest person to talk to and has a wonderful funny sense of humour On the day of surgery Carl came to my room and went through everything again and made sure I was ok This was the theme post surgery, Carl visited twice a day for the 4 days I was in hospital, to check how I was doing and generally to just have a chat, even if he did moan on occasions that I wasn’t eating enough 😝 I can literally not recommend Carl enough and I will be forever grateful of his expertise in fixing me! I have been a client of the surgery for many years going back to when Johnathan Richardson set up the practice just off Wilson's Corner. I continued to use the surgery when premises were established in Shenfield. It was when I experienced heart problems some 5 years ago that I found Dr. Athreya to be particularly helpful. He offered his private cell phone number should I need help or advice at this difficult time prior to surgery. This literally proved a lifeline. I saw Dr. Athreya on 4th December this year and as usual he was able to diagnose the problem and prescribe a treatment plan. Dr Athreya is an experienced, knowledgeable practitioner and a credit to the team at EPD. He puts patients at ease and is interested in their experiences. I was sorry to hear he was leaving for I feel sure he will be sorely missed.

OF course anyone who has facilitated an extension of your life is going to become somewhat special in your life!. in every interaction with this focused human being I have experienced a gentle and precise focus and clarity. I am always quite amazed at the time he has given me as an NHS patient, He has responded to every email and concern I have had for almost 12 years now!. Last year I had to have some sternum wires removed and he even took it pain himself to match the incision with a Tatoo I had on my skin over my sternum !. HE is a truly dedicated surgeon who just gets on with the job and has enough humanity to be with you , present and available. Than you with all my Heart!

I saw Dr Nikolic because I was suffering from sciatica type pain which was not improving after a few months. He examined me and told me what he believed was the cause of this pain, and also organised the appropriate tests to confirm this, an MRI and an EMG and he named the neurophysiology consultant he specifically wanted to perform the nerve conduction study. After the tests he advised that an injection might help break the pain cycle, however my condition started to improve without treatment and I cancelled the injection. However if this condition reoccurs I would certainly go back to Dr Nikolic as I felt confident he knew exactly what was wrong and what might help. Since then his team have checked on my condition, which thankfully now continues to improve.

Dr Chronopoulou has been an incredible consultant for us as we underwent IVF stimulation and a frozen embryo transfer at CRGH Great Portland St Clinic (with which we are now pregnant after the first transfer). She went above and beyond to make sure we were cared for during the process and would highly recommend her to anyone! She also pointed out things to be about my overall health that were totally missed by my GP and hospital referrals over the years regarding my hormone deficiency impact on my bone health for which I am extremely grateful to her for.

The team on the OCD ward incredibly kind caring and compassionate. It's like being part of a family, including the other 5 patients here. Although, it was challenging at times, I've learnt so much about my condition and I now realise that my beliefs does not necessarily mean it's true. If you're suffering with OCD and feel like you're alone or you have nowhere else to turn to, I highly recommend the Nightingale's 28 day inpatient stay.

Very good. Friendly staff. Very clean and pleasant hospital. Health screening tests were done efficiently. GP decided to refer one issue to a specialist which was reassuring that it is receiving proper attention. Only minor irritant was that I was asked 3 times if I was insured or self pay. As I had pre-paid my health screening I would have expected that to be on my records.

The staff are excellent at their job, and the culture of the place is kind, caring and respectful. The staff were lovely both on the ward and in theatre. There was a wait of almost an hour for a bed when I arrived at the appointed time. The room had to be cleaned before I was moved in. I felt the organisation was chaotic in the lead up to my hip replacement. I felt it was not a staff issue but more a lack of planning in the system.
