Mr Ahmad Elsahn is described as professional, kind, and pleasant by many patients. He performs cataract surgery and various glaucoma procedures, including stent implantation and MIGS, often combining these treatments. Patients praise his clear explanations, find him reassuring, and achieve excellent vision improvement after their operations, with many no longer needing glaucoma drops. His work significantly helps patients manage glaucoma and achieve better eyesight.
Very professional with the examination and explaining everything
My husbands experience with his eye operations was excellent he had no pain or problems with them . The pressure behind his eyes is now normal and his eye sight has improved so much he is so grateful to doctor Ahmad Elsahn for his excellent work and all the staff at Kingsmill eye centre thank you .Danny R.
Took on board that I am hard of hearing ,looked at me to check I had heard and understood throughout the conversation. This does not happen with every Medic, but makes the situation more reassuring and pleasant when it does.
Combined cataract and OMNI procedure was carried out painlessly under local anaesthetic by Mr Elsahn. It is testament to the surgeon’s skill that when the anaesthetic had worn off I experienced no pain, nothing even to warrant taking paracetamol. That continues to be the case 8 days on. 8 day follow-up with same surgeon was conducted professionally and my questions were answered politely and in full. It was most reassuring to the extent that I am delighted that he will be the person to carry out the same procedure on my other eye in due course. Future patients need have no worries about not being in the best hands. I can think of nothing along the journey from first referral to first post-op assessment that Mr Elsahn and the team around him need to improve upon.
Everything went well and the consultant ( Mr Elsahn ) was very pleasant, helpful and informative - Thank you
Dr Elsahn was friendly and pDr professional as always. Willingt toand answer any questions
I would like to thank Mr Elsahn for all he has done for me. He was really kind. I would like to reassure people that the eye stent surgery is nothing to worry about.
I had combined Cataract and Stent fitting Surgery and cannot praise Mr Elsahn and his team highly enough. I'm 85 yrs old, and this was my first ever Hospital procedure, so I was very apprehensive, but the whole experience was first class. All of the team were very kind, professional, and on the ball. i am already feeling the benefit of the Surgery after only 8-days, and am now looking forward to having my second eye done but this time without any apprehension.
Cataract operation and stint inserted Mr Ahmad Elsahn was amazing he has given me much better vision and improved my quality of life I appreciate all he has done and thank him so much
My most recent visit was a follow up from MIGS plus cataract surgery a few weeks earlier. As I have come to expect from Mr Elsahn he was approachable and professional, taking the time to go through the tests and notes and to ask me if I was happy with the outcome, which I was pleased to confirm. My vision pre-surgery was such that I needed glasses all the time, having quite severe short-sightedness and astigmatism. Now, I can see clearly without glasses for the first time in my life and I am delighted. In addition I have had glaucoma for many years and until recently was using three different eyedrops daily to keep pressures in my eyes at a safe level - something Mr Elsahn has checked and if necessary adjusted at each consultation. When it became clear that surgery was in the best interests of preserving and improving my eyesight he explained thoroughly what my options were and took the time to ensure I would have the best possible outcome, including two separate geometric measurements to confirm my lens requirements. In my case that meant toric lenses to correct my vision and Miniject stents to manage pressures - with the intention to reduce or remove the need for glaucoma drops. Lenses and stents were installed at the same, with a couple of weeks between each eye. I would also like to say that everyone I dealt with for the operations, from reception to theatre, were wonderful and I felt cared for at all times.
