Private ADHD provides private assessments for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), autism, and other psychiatric conditions. The service operates primarily through online consultations, offering remote access to diagnostic and treatment pathways across the UK.
Assessments are conducted by GMC-registered consultant psychiatrists and clinicians with experience in neurodevelopmental conditions. The service provides evaluations for both adults and children, using structured and evidence-based diagnostic methods aligned with national guidance, including NICE standards.
The assessment process includes an initial consultation, followed by a comprehensive diagnostic evaluation and the provision of a formal report. Services also include ongoing support, which may involve treatment planning and medication titration where clinically indicated.
Appointments are delivered remotely via secure video consultations, allowing access to services without the need for in-person attendance. The service aims to provide shorter waiting times compared to standard NHS pathways, with assessments typically available within a shorter timeframe.
Private ADHD offers transparent pricing for its services, with ADHD and autism assessments available for both adults and children, alongside additional follow-up and treatment options where required.

Superb organisation, every clinician and administrator I have had any contact with have been exemplary in their professionalism and efficiency.
All was professional and fast
I work in Mental health and I actively discourage people from using this service having gone through it. The idea that someone I know would have to endure speaking to Nigel Tunstall is unthinkable. The information talks about following support after a diagnosis, when asked I was told by Tunstall that there is no support and that that. Avoid this service at all costs.
My first meeting your freelance staff was extremely rude, one of your staff answered the call in onesie, this is just overall. I dont care if you know who I am. Rip off merchants and absolutely no idea how you've been given a license to practice.
Getting a diagnosis was the easiest part. You pay, you get assessed and you receive your diagnosis. But there was not enough support afterwards. To the company it may just be that we’ve diagnosed you and now start medication is enough. But a diagnosis like this changes your life. There is not enough support to discuss symptoms or follow up advise. As a doctor myself I was able to handle things better but I feel for others dealing with a diagnosis there needs to be support. Also getting prescriptions was really tough considering you’re dealing with people who have ADHD but doing everything opposite in terms of helping us get our medication in time. We would have to order our prescriptions 3/4 weeks in advance at a time without being on the current dose for long enough to know if we want to titrate up or not. Many times even being left without medication which can be very detrimental to an individual going through titration. I would like to give a special mention to Dr Ziad who always took time to listen, showed compassion, handled queries and encouraged me to fulfil my goals.
To be perfectly honest, Nigel my psychiatrist was amazing! But the experience for the rest was poor at best, minimal communication, all about money and invoicing. No wellbeing/checks, didn't turn up to my last tritation as I couldn't afford it and no-one checked in at all. Which isn't great considering the amount you pay. To this day no one's checked in, thankfully I got a new diagnosis through the NHS but the whole thing was a waste of time.
The medical professionals I dealt with were fantastic, but the report I received has several errors.
The clinician who carried out Leighton’s assessment was excellent. He was professional, thoughtful and very good with Leighton, and we felt the assessment itself was handled sensitively and thoroughly. Unfortunately, our experience with the administrative side of the service was much less positive. Communication was often slow, and responses frequently failed to answer the questions asked or provide the information requested, which made the process unnecessarily frustrating. We also had significant concerns about the quality of the written report. The initial version contained numerous errors, including another child’s name, and described behaviours and characteristics that Leighton does not display and that we had specifically stated were not relevant to him. This gave the impression that the report had not been carefully reviewed or properly tailored. Although a revised version was issued after we highlighted the problems, it still contained a large number of grammatical, formatting and factual errors. In the end, I rewrote substantial parts of the report myself in order to produce an accurate and usable document, and the final version issued closely reflected those amendments. It was disappointing that the quality of the administration and reporting did not match the standard of the clinician’s assessment itself.
Very fast appointments and reply to emails any questions, queries! All professionals during appointments where really good and made myself and my child feel comfortable and listened to. Gathered loads of information from, is as parents, my child and school.
My daughter had an ADHD diagnosis with yourselves and has now begun medication.
