Dr. Aaron Ng

Dr Aaron Ng is a consultant ophthalmologist based at BMI The Droitwich Spa Hospital. He has particular expertise in both laser and lens surgery and is able to offer his patients premium intraocular lenses. Dr Ng has special expertise in corneal and external eye disease, complex cataract surgery, and refractive surgery. He also sees patients with astigmatism, previous corneal transplants, corneal infections and scarring, keratoconus, dry eye disorders, and pterygium.

Dr Ng is passionate about improving outcomes for these conditions and takes a proactive approach through research as well as quality improvement projects. He currently works as a reviewer for the West Midlands Quality Review Service and won the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists Congress Audit Prize in 2016 for his work to improve cataract surgery outcomes. He also won the AMO Prize for Best Paper at the British Society for Refractive Surgery in 2017.

Dr Ng began his medical career in 2009 at King's College London before spending time training around the UK and the USA. He attended the West Midlands School of Ophthalmology for his surgical training before going on to achieve certification in laser and refractive surgery with the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
