Mr Jackson is a Consultant Ophthalmologist with specialist expertise in catract and oculoplastic surgery. He has been a Consultant at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust since 2015 and currenlty serves as Clinicl Director for Ophthalmology.
Mr Jackson graduated from the University of Bristol with a medical degree and also obtained a First-Class Honours degree in Anatomy. He completed his specialist ophthalmology training in the West Midlands before undertaking an advanced Fellowship in Oculoplastic Surgery in Leicester. In 2013, he was awarded Fellowship of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
Mr Jackson has extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of cataracts and oculoplastic conditions. His specialist interests include cataract surgery, eyelid disorders, watery eyes (lacrimal conditions) and orbital diseases. He is dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred care, tailoring treatment to each individual's needs while ensuring patients feel informed, supported and confident throughout their care.
Alongside his NHS role, Mr Jackson also offers private consultations and treatments at Newmedica Worcester, providing patients with timely access to expert ophtalmic care in a modern, purpose built setting.

Although it was my second Cataract op, I was still very nervous. Everyone I came into contact with, put me at ease straight away. Mr Jackson who did my first operation, explained exactly what was going to happen, again put me at my ease, and told me which skin he was using and it was in date. I felt he performed the operation proficiently, and profestioally. I was very happy with the whole experience, and look forward to enjoying my new eyesight.
I felt I was in very capable hands with Mr Jackson and his answers to my questions put me at ease.
Dr Jackson was very polite and open about my procedure which gave me reassurance. He asked if I had any concerns or questions. After my surgery he stated the removal of my cataract had gone well. Which made me feel extremely happy and relieved.
All staff were very friendly and very efficient. The actual procedure was good, very quick and I hardly felt anything, certainly no pain I have now had both cataract ops, 1 on each eye and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend New Medica to any one.
