It is now six months since I had my total hip replacement operation with Mr Shetty and I can assess the superb and extremely careful work he did on me. The operation has left only a very neat and quite small scar and there have been many benefits. I am walking much better without a limp and my hip no longer hurts when sitting or lying down. Before the operation my right leg had become half an inch shorter than the left due to hip arthritis and this has been corrected. Overall, there are no issues. A huge thank you to Mr Shetty and the Sarum Road Hospital team for doing this. The anaesthetist and her team did a great job in ensuring that I knew nothing of the operation and the nursing staff were extremely competent and kind in helping me get over it afterwards. I am very grateful to have had such an outstanding orthopaedic surgeon.

full hip replacement by Mr. Shetty. I had an epidural for the operation, and left hospital the same day. The operation was a lot better than expected, with minimal pain after. I was able to cycle gently on my bike after 2 weeks. The whole process was very smooth& went well. I am now 4 months post op. and pretty well back to all activities & most importantly have no pain.

Mr Shetty was very welcoming. He listened to my questions and answered them fully, his manner was very professional as well as making me feel I could trust him fully.

An excellent and caring service

I was impressed with the care and attention I was given in the HOC. In what can be a stressful situation for a patient. It was reassuring to have staff who behaved professionally, yet were friendly and kind, explaining clearly who they were and what procedures were taking place. The HOC and Westgate Buildings are spacious, bright and clean which also helps create a positive atmosphere when entering the premises. I received clear instructions and plenty of notice as to where and when my follow up physio appointments and meeting with Mr Shetty would be. So, congratulations and thank you for your effort that has gone into making HOC a great success.
