About Miss Louise Olson
Miss Louise Olson is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Salford Royal Hospital, part of the Northern Care Alliance. She graduated from The University of Manchester in 2010 and completed her surgical and urological training in the North West of England in 2019.
In her NHS practice, Miss Olson performs a wide range of general urology procedures, with a specialisation in lower urinary tract symptoms including infections, pain and incontinence and male urethral structures, including optilume.
Outside of her clinical practice, Miss Olson is dedicated to postgraduate education. She is currently the Training Programme Director for urology in Greater Manchester & Lancashire. She has served as the Education Lead for the Urology Department at Salford Royal and has been involved in the training of advanced care practitioners. She completed a postgraduate certificate in medical education in 2016, awarded by Edge Hill University. In 2025, Miss Olson was appointed the Training Programme Director role for Urology in Greater Manchester and Lancashire, where she continues to support and guide the next generation of urologists.
