Mr Jowett was most welcoming from the start, and at great pains to put me at ease. He quickly gained my confidence. Mr Jowett carried out the most thorough examination of both my feet and ankles, explaining throughout his findings and prognosis of what options were available once left knee replacement has been carried out - he considered the left ankle sufficiently aligned with left knee to allow surgery to go ahead asap. Discussions therefore moved on to major problems with the right foot and ankle. Whilst surgery is possible, it is complicated and there are major considerations to address. Ultimately, it was decided to address these once I had recovered from the knee surgery. I have been left feeling Mr Jowett is a surgeon who could not only carry out the relevant surgery (other surgeons have desisted), but also gives one the confidence of going down an unknown path.

The appointment was for an electocardiogram and ECG. The technician was very helpful, pleasant and thorough, but I did find difficulty in lying on either side as I have lost weight and felt the pressure from the table. Very pleased that my wife was able to come in and view the procedure, so any questions asked she could help with if necessary as I have poor hearing. I was able to see Dr O'Sullivan with the results quickly and it was beneficial to us that our son-in-law Kevin was able to be present as well as my wife.

I saw Dr Luther at my appointment. I attended the reception area and was told where to wait. I was asked to go for an ECG before I saw Dr Luther which I had done immediately. Dr. Luther was very professional. I explained what my symptoms were and he took time to explain why I had these symptoms and what my options were. He explained everything in detail and asked if I had any questions. He was very courteous and professional at all times.

As a regular visitor I am made welcome by staff, who are always helpful, albeit stretched in their work. Some days more stretched than others. I am content that my wife received good care although, I always want more, which I know is not possible within resource constraints. It is a heartbreaking place for may but the staff present a cheerful demeanor and seem to have time for all residents.
