I feel Dr Choudary explained what would happen clearly enough , but as is often the way with consultant surgeons, they are often lacking in empathy towards the patient. I felt that as a paediatric consultant she might have been a little more personable towards my young daughter to put her more at ease. Drs and consultants can often become desensitised to patients after a period off time, and this was the impression we were given too. Smiling more, engaging more with the child on a level that the child can understand and appreciate is what is required. Her interaction was very professional but rather aloof and cold. When children have to have a camera down their nose for the first time, when it gets towards the point of being rather unpleasant, there was very little empathy or change of tact to help get my child through the experience, to reassure them, and take some of their fear away. Our own GP has a wonderful, playful way with my children to engage with them to get their cooperation and explains things very well to them, whilst respecting and listening attentively to their questions or concerns and making sure to address these , to put them at ease in the appointment. A smile, and being more animated with kids goes a long way to wards getting them on board.

We met the excellent Mr Arthur Dalton who has known me since 2023 when he led the outstanding NHS team (which included the ICU nurses) that saved my life after a brain subarahcnoid haemorrhage and, again, in 2024, when my aneurysm needed recoiling and a flow diverting stent was also inserted . This time we sought his opinion to help us decide between two treatments for a brain meningioma, after two previous consultations at another private hospital had created confusion and anxiety,. As always, with impeccable professionalism and a warm approach, he explained the pros and cons of each procedure in relation to my particular case, allowing us to finally make the decision that suited us best. It is always deeply reassuring and an absolute joy to receive Mr Dalton’s opinion. We feel extremely lucky to have met him.

I recently had surgery on my right hand middle finger to remove a blood vessel malformation, and I couldn’t be happier with the care and results I received from Dr Lawton. From the outset, he was incredibly calm and reassuring, which immediately put me at ease. The surgery itself was meticulously performed, and my recovery has been excellent so far. Any questions I had were answered thoroughly, whether they felt silly or not, which made the whole experience even more reassuring. I attended Spencer Ashford Hospital which was easy to find and was able to park nearby in the carpark using a Blue Badge displayed. Access was at ground level with no steps. Reception staff greeted me straight away and booked me in, provided necessary to complete my procedure. Toilets were easily accessed just off Reception and there is a water machine free. All staff including the medical team that I saw were engaging, jovial yet professional. The atmosphere was calm and relaxing with about three patients waiting. Mr Georgios Papadopoulos explained the procedure that I was undergoing in depth and was unrushed and very calm and inquired whether I had questions. His team were as fantastic ensuring that I was at ease throughout. At no point did I feel under pressure to leave after the procedure.

1. We were wrong footed by the entrance barrier, but luckily another patient was close to the entrance button. 2. Parking was tight - we had to park in the radiology section, but hoped that would be ok. 3. The surgery was wonderfully light and airy and spatially arranged in such a way that each patient could have space and privacy. 4. The staff i have spoken to on the phone were immensely welcoming and efficient, as were the ladies on the desk on arrival 5. The loos were wonderfully clean and airy. 6. Dr. Johnstone was most welcoming and sympathetic. I can't make the next step work, which is to review Dr. J. On only one visit, my experience was very positive. She was clearly listening to what i was saying, and made a very quick referral, for which I am very grateful.

I had a total left knee replacement in September at the priory hospital edgbaston by mr Shakir Hussain and his team , I had full faith in them as Mr Hussain had successfully replaced my right hip nine months earlier . Everything has gone very well Mr Hussain is very compassionate and understanding and explained everything in detail, the rest of the team and the priory hospital were absolutely fantastic i also attended several physio appointments at the circle health group physio centre nearby which again was very good . I would not hesitate to recommend Mr Hussain and the priory hospital to anyone needing knee replacement surgery.

My procedure was a day case and regardless of that I was given a private room which was very spacious and clean. All nurses and staff I came across and who took care of me were really kind and friendly. I have struggled with trigger finger in both hands for a while. Mr. Jonathan Hobby has always given me the best advice and treatment. The most recent steroid injections have been a huge success. My middle fingers no longer lock when I'm carrying out daily tasks and the terrible pain in my left middle finger joint has disappeared. A huge relief and it's wonderful not to be in pain.
