The overall experience was excellent. As an NHS patient I felt I waited too long which affected my mental health and mobility, this wait has impacted on my recovery. I would have waited even longer if I hadn’t gone to my GP and asked for my operation to be escalated. The whole process took six months of physio initial NHS xray took a further 5 months to see the consultant then a further 4 and a half months for op. This has been a nightmare. I am however extremely appreciative of my operation and the treatment I have received during my stay at Hoarders. Also on the discharge sheet I was given a number to call for worries and questions once I got home this number was however not answered and my answer phone message was not called back.

Her follow-up letters are always clear, thorough, and truly helpful. Even her secretary is accessible, kind, and supportive, which makes the entire experience smooth and reassuring. Dr. Kariyawasam initially became my doctor by chance, as I needed an urgent appointment and she happened to be available. It is no coincidence, however, that she will remain my doctor moving forward. Her care is outstanding in every way.

Dr Sotiris Nicholas

Dr. Nicholas was amazing- he came in prior to surgery and walked me through each step. Not only was he a comforting presence, his communication throughout surgery made it so that I knew everything that was going on through my entire c-section. I was able to tell him how I felt during surgery and after and he adjusted care as such. Dr. Nichols took the time to listen to my concerns from previous c-sections and our plans for pain management and reassured us every step of the way. He even took some wonderful photos of delivery on our phone! Dr. Nichols is not only wonderful at his job, but such a kind person who genuinely cares about his patients and their comfort both physical and mental.

Mr Ammar Al Midani

I was in private unit ,I had an apointment with Mr. al Midani. For the subjects kidney , hernia, obesity. I turst Mr. Al Midani. He is a perfect doctor. 👏👏🧿🧿⭐⭐. He thinks with the patient, on the side of the patient. He explains everything briefly. We had the obesity subject in the last 6-8 months. ,it goes very well. I got 18-20 kg lighter. And in a few months Most probably I will have the surgery for my hernia occured after the kidney transplantation/mediterranian univ. Mr. Al Midani will do the hernia operation here in Royal Free. Because he has the experience on both hernia and kidney transplantation. Thanks to him for all his efforts.. And congrats 👏🧿⭐

Dr John Philip O'Dwyer

I visited Dr O’Dwyer for seizures that had been misdiagnosed as panic attack attacks for many years. I felt that he was the first doctor in 30 years to actually listen to me having been completely let down by the NHS. He is a very kind man, really listens, and doesn’t rush you so you have plenty of time for your brain to remember all of the relevant details. He was very thorough, read all of my notes that I had sent through, asked sensible questions and treat treated me like an equal human being. There is so much more I could say but he is a 10 out of 10 doctor and I would recommend him to anyone who has any neurological problems.

Mr Kam Balaggan

Mr Balaggan was a calming professional who took time to explain each step and give a sensible best and worst case scenario. He assured me that he would do his very best to close a "Very Large" macular hole I presented with. I underwent surgery within two weeks and the care and reassurance that both the operation and the aftercare afforded was simply, second to none. Mr Balaggans expertise has resulted in a successful closure of my macular hole and I have no hestiation in 100% recommending him to anyone requiring eye surgery. I am delighted with the results.

Dr. Himadri Chakraborty

Our 3 months old son has been struggling with tummy issues like colic and silent reflux since he was born. We have not received sufficient or convincing advice from NHS paediatricians or GPs. We had a great experience with Dr. Chakraborty who finally paid attention to our concerns and was clear about how we could address them. The staff were absolutely brilliant. So very friendly whilst remaining professional. My appointment was for 11.30 and whilst I accept there is always some waiting time I didn't expect 2 hours. I had another doctor appointment for 2.20 and I was beginning to panic that I would not be ablecto attend. My other complaint,along with several other patients was how very cold the rooms were We were sat in our winter coats and still feeling the cold. Paul, a staff member did eventually turn the heating on/up.

Mr Hawary has been absolutely wonderful. I was very stressed and in pain when I walked in to meet him. His huge smile and warm welcome allayed my fears. He was extremely kind, professional but with such compassion and explained everything very clearly. I had complete trust in him and his ability to help me. I have never had such thoughtful and thorough care and follow up, nothing was too much trouble. The medical services could do with more Mr Hawarys. I cannot thank him enough!

The Embryo transfer was a beautiful moment and they ensured it was marked with a photo of the embryo being transferred and a hand written card.
