He was present during my stay in the hospital checking on my recovery and always honest,caring and reassuring about my progress. Mr Tavares is highly gifted in his approach to his patients, you feel listened to and that you are not just another number as well as being an briliant surgeon. I feel very lucky to have had my operation carried out by such a wonderful surgeon who is so compassionate and kind and goes over and above with his care towards his patients and always with a lovely smile and great sense of humour. My whole experience from start to finish has been absolutely amazing! All staff have been 100% in their delivery of care and support. I felt safe and looked after. The anaesthetist and theatre staff before both operations were totally dedicated in ensuring I felt at ease at a time when I felt most anxious. All ward nurses and assistants were focussed on delivering the highest standard of care with their patience and nothing being too much trouble. Pantry team kept me well fed with delicious drinks and food and always with a smile. Imaging team were so caring, cheerful and again reassuring and professional. The physio team are incredible, they have encouraged and lead me to where I am now - so very nearly there. I cannot fault my experience at Gatwick Spire. A massive thank you to Mr Panose and all teams involved in my operations and recovery.

I couldn’t find where I needed to go at first due to the CT scanner lorry being in front of the hospital sign and no other sign and map showing where the Spencer hospital was. When I did find it and after filling in my paperwork I had to go to the fracture clinic where my appointment was. There were no signs to say where to sit (a simple sign saying Spencer hospital patients please wait here would have helped). A lot of patients were wandering around aimlessly trying to work out where to go. It took those of us that had worked it out t tell them. I waited over half an hour for my appointment (I know things get behind and different patients need longer).

Admin team are really friendly and very helpful with any questions. They are also very quick to respond to emails which is amazing. Dr Chris Airey is brilliant, he goes through every blood marker and explains everything clearly. I transferred to this clinic from Optimale as the service and protocol I was on didn’t feel very optimal for me. In my opinion, UrbanTRT is way better and I now understand what truly personalised TRT looks like. The difference in how I feel, the communication, and the level of detail they go into has been top quality.

It's a rollercoaster. It's not easy and you can expect to be up and down constantly within each day but you have to remember why you are here and embrace your chance to recover. Be where you are meant to be on time, be open minded but filter out issues that you not yours . Don't expect the timetable to always be correct. Food is not great and everyone's feelings, behaviours and attitudes fluctuate. Be honest with yourself and others. Learn to stay calm, be considerate and kind.

I would say maybe it should be easier to ask questions as we had to ask Selina who asked Jonathon but this was usually quick it was just a little difficult sometimes to interpret what was meant over email. Also some appointments could be grouped ie the nurse appointment. These really are small niggles in the grand scheme of things. Everyone was lovely and the nurses I couldn’t thank more

I was called into the surgery ahead of my appointment time. Everything about my tooth extraction was explained carefully, with an invitation to ask any further questions. The injections (usually the worst aspect) and the extraction were painless and I was encouraged to wait in the chair for a few moments afterwards to make sure that I was OK. An excellent experience!

I was admitted from A&E to 15 North, following a blocked Nephfrostomy. I also have anaphylaxsis to latex so the side room made my stay much smoother than it might have been. 15 North was also a low traffic ward, which further reduced risk of airborne latex particulate from the trainer's of OTs and Physios for example
