I came into St Joseph’s on the 10th of January for a Abdominoplasty procedure, from entering the hospital and being greeted professionally by the reception, to the assistant who came down to reception to collect me and show me your my room, went smoothly and l would say, the highest stand l have had at a private hospital. The ward staff attended to me immediately, carried out their pre-op checks, were very informative in terms of time of the procedure etc, l couldn’t have been made more comfortable and cared for. The cleanliness and room was outstanding, l have had a number of stays at private hospitals over a period of 15 years and St Joseph’s is the leader from all parts of the service provided, your hospital should be used to show others how to set the highest standards, which you certainly excel at. Mr Wilson was outstanding too, from our initial consultation to the surgery and aftercare. I recurved a call from St Joseph’s on the 3 day after being discharged to check on my progress, which l wasn’t expecting but very much appreciated it. I have received the highest of care and everyone l met was amazing. Thank you for everything you did for me.

Freedom Vision - Chelmsford

I had cataract surgery on both eyes on 4th December 2025 and l was discharged today, 12th January 2026. I'm so pleased to say l don't need to wear glasses or contact lenses any more. From start to finish, my experience at Freedom Vision Chelmsford was exceptionally good - and my end result is superb vision. - more than l could ever have hoped for. Colours are radiant and bright, and probably the biggest bonus for me is feeling so much more confident driving at night. After undergoing rigorous tests and scans , the actual procedure is very quick and painless. All the staff, without question were delightfully kind people and I'd like to thank them all individually, if only l knew their names. But in particular, l'd like to thank Nicola who guided me patiently and expertly throughout the whole procedure, and a massive thank you to Mr Hove , my surgeon, for being such a genius. If you are contemplating cataract surgery, l urge you to go for it - don't be scared - you won't regret it!

Was all very good. Mr Kirkland has an excellent bedside manner, is professional and efficient and you feel confident in his skills. He has been my only ENT consultant over the years who has recommended giving hearing aids a try in the ear where I have a mastoid cavity. The others have always said I would have more infection problems. Although I was sceptical at first I am so glad I have tried, without any issues after 6 months and they have made such a difference. So at 74 years old I now have amazing hearing since I had the operation 61 years ago which reduced my hearing. I have had issues in the past with balance problems with microsuction, but with patience he gave it a try, rather that using instruments, which previous consultants have done and successfully microsuctioned the mastoid cavity, without disturbing my balance. So all in all a great outcome.

I am so thrilled with my experience at Weymouth Street Hospital, London, after having had cataracts removed in both of my eyes, by Mr Hove of Blue Fin Vision. I can see clearly now, both distance and close up, reading, computer etc, etc.. ; no need for any glasses. Mr Hove is truly amazing - so caring, kind and professional. He explained everything to me in my assessment on Monday 8th December, in Chelmsford and actually had the operation in such a short time - Thursday 11th December! I am a new person now ! Doctor Carlos, the anesthetist, was also so kind and caring. I felt thoroughly at ease for my operation. Many, many thanks to everybody, including the kind nurse. My husband and I were both given a delicious meal afterwards, which was really appreciated - so welcome. Thank you very, very much for everything, everybody

Mrs Polly Ford was fine. I am very disappointed to wait a year and half to see someone about chronic pain that is effecting my every day life terrible. Leaving unable to work and care for my child how a mother should.. and I’m told to go back to my gp for pain med.. my dr ASKs me what i need regarding pain meds they are great, women with this condition need guidance and support. A plan is n place ?? It’s like a free for all with pain meds ?! Madness its Not just drugs… we need with this condition.. so sad.. i know NHS is on its knees. Im so greatful for everyone that works for them. They do the best they can with what they have. However my care needs are not being meet by Gynaecology. And I do request to speak to somebody else.

Hospital was dirty. Room was dirty. Was provided with a pillow that was fully stained yellow on one side with no pillow cover. One of the nurses saw it when he turned it over but I had already been lying on it for hours. Went to the surgery without any pillow only to wake up to another stained pillow without any cover. Found a toenail on the bed. Very unhygienic and was not comfortable. Staff were ok. Food received was not what I ordered, so left without eating anything. Will only be coming back for my second operation because it is the surgeons only practice that is close to where I live, otherwise would not be returning. Hygiene is most important in these environments and it was not to par at all. Worse than NHS.

From my first visit Mr Davies was From my initial appointment at Spire Healthcare, I found all staff to be extremely informative, professional, and helpful. Upon meeting my surgeon, Mr Davies, he provided clear and comprehensive information regarding my knee replacement surgery and took the time to answer all of my questions thoroughly. The theatre, nursing, and ward staff were excellent from the moment I arrived for surgery through to my discharge, and I felt well cared for throughout my stay. I would highly recommend Mr Davies. The high standard of care I received meant that I felt completely at ease and had no hesitation in returning three months later to undergo my second knee replacement.

The assessment was very thorough but efficient at the same time. The team on-site put me at ease, demonstrated confidence in their abilities and ensured I understood the problem and potential next steps. The practical next steps (eg costs, timescale and dates) were not the focus of this appointment and therefore, at no point did I feel a pressure to commit. The focus was more on the calibre of staff who would manage my next procedure and we also discussed any medical concerns I had. I walked out of the session thinking why on earth have I held back so long on getting this treatment done! Thanks to the team both the Dr and Fabrizio were incredibly professional and welcoming.

I visited doctor Jadhav concerning bleeding and cysts. The doctor took time to assess, review and educate me. He patiently explained the information in simpler language i can understand and had the opportunity to ask if I had any questions or worries. This really gave me a chance to make a choice and contribute to my care. I felt involved. And thats what person centred care is all about.This is very rare. I found Mr Jadhav very professional, compassionate and his communication skills are excellent. Thank you very much for including me in my care and explaining every detail without rushing. The word cancer is a very scary word. From the moment I met Mr Ghosh I felt in safe hands. He was kind, clear, professional and most of all he has - and is - looking after me very well. I feel in very safe hands. Every appointment is scheduled by his wonderful PA before I even reach home from the last appointment, which makes me feel like there is a plan at a time where you feel there really isn't a plan. He is supported by a wonderful team (thank you Heather!) and I honestly wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Dr Georgiou was extremely kind and generous with his time, despite this being a second-opinion consultation. My uncle was diagnosed with advanced, stage IV malignancy, and Dr Georgiou approached the case with seriousness and care, without being dismissive or overlooking treatment options. He supported the appropriate treatment plan, and after four cycles my uncle is doing remarkably well. The whole operation went extremely well. I was informed at all stages about the procedure and possible outcomes. All questions and concerns were listened to and answered thoroughly. We met with Dr Donald Hodge for allergy testing on our 2 year old. He was very helpful and informative throughout the process. The allergy testing itself was very quick, stress free and professional. Our child didn’t even react which is what we were expecting. He was also very helpful in the treatment for his eczema and gave lots of useful information. Would recommend Dr Hodge and spire hospital for any related consultations and testing!

The procedure was so quick from the start to finish. Very pleasant staff. The good thing is I wasn't waiting too long so I was straight in & out within an hour & a half. Dr. O'Donnell is very efficient & brilliant at what he does. He is a very nice person very down to earth. Highly recommend him if you're thinking about going to get any type of bein treatment at all. Nothing was awkward at all & I was made to feel very comfortable.
