Excellent care - Cannot fault how Ms Adams and Mr Parker and their teams looked after my mother before, during and after her operation. We paid personally for the operation (~£40k) but our experience with the billing and payments and the wider admin team is in a complete mess. We had to pay up front for everything prior to admission, which was ok, but unexpected (could have been better communicated to us, rather than a sentence lost in some paperwork), and fairly sure the insurance companies which they usually deal with wouldn't do this. One of the payments/billing team then visited my mother in her hospital bed, 4 days after a major abdominal surgery and started demanding more money verbally (to be paid that evening/the next day) with no paperwork/invoice/backup). Some things weren't done as part of the operation and the Consultant messaged us to say that it should be discounted, but no adjustment has been made. I have requested detailed backup on numerous occasions, and nothing has come through. A real shame that the medical and care team have been let down by the Cleveland back office on this occasion.

Overall this was a good experience, I had a combined assessment via NHS right to choose. I liked that I was seen in person for this. The wait times were much longer than initially expected however I believe there was a huge influx of patients at the same time that I was referred. The assessments themselves were good with understanding and knowledgeable assessors. The report which I have received is in depth although I did think there may be a professionals insight into the early developmental questionnaire whereas it is just copied into the report. I had a few queries about the report which I am waiting on the answer to and also have asked for it to be sent to my GP which hasn't been done yet but again, this is the lacking wait times. Apart from the wait times, the service was great and I am thankful for their help. I think my referral was made in March 2025 and I am writing this review in December 2025.

She performed thorough examinations at every visit, including growth scans each time, and carefully went through all the details so I always felt well informed and reassured. During the delivery, Dr. Koteacha was calm, professional, and fully present. She made all the right decisions at the right moments and ensured that my son arrived safely into the world. Her compassion, expertise, and dedication made me feel completely safe throughout the entire process. She overall made me feel very safe throughout my pregnancy and delivery with my first baby. I highly recommend Dr. Koteacha to anyone looking for exceptional, skilled, and truly caring maternity care.

Due to my individual circumstances there was some confusion in relation to payment and that spilled over onto me personally as well as causing stress across the whole procedure at the outset. This was resolved but exposes the fact that some attention needs to be paid to the way things are looked at and handles when the circumstances fall outside of the general conventions of the service provided. In the end it was all sorted out but the initial confusion and stress could have been avoided. I have no complaints but was a bit surprised at the apparent chaos at the outset. I have no idea if any one aspect was to blame, I think it was probably general confusion in relation to gaps in communication between the parties involved in payment etc.

Attended for Mirena coil fitting and was very nervous. Dr Colquhoun was excellent at putting me at ease and I had full trust in her. Her manner eased my anxiety and the experience wasn’t half as bad as what I thought it would be. The clinic does not feel like a doctor’s office at all and everything is done to make patients feel comfortable.
