Mr David George

Mr. David George is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specialising in hip and knee surgery, musculoskeletal trauma, and sports injuries. He graduated from the University of Birmingham in 2009 and pursued advanced surgical training in London, earning a place in the Specialist Registrar Orthopaedic training programme at Imperial College London. During this period, he gained invaluable experience at some of London’s premier hospitals, including the renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore.

Following his specialty training, Mr. George completed an additional two years of Fellowship training to refine his expertise in hip and knee surgery. His time at the Nuffield Orthopaedic Centre in Oxford and Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital in London deepened his proficiency in addressing complex orthopaedic conditions.

Mr. George’s dedication to advancing his skills led him to participate in prestigious international fellowships. He worked alongside world leaders in hip and knee replacements at the Helios ENDO-Klinik in Hamburg and the Galeazzi Orthopaedic Institute in Milan. In recognition of his commitment to innovation, he was awarded the EFORT Robotic Travelling Fellowship in 2020, where he visited leading centres in London, France, and Germany that specialise in robotic-assisted joint replacements.

At The Princess Alexandra Hospitals NHS Trust, Mr. George provides comprehensive care for both acute musculoskeletal trauma and chronic conditions affecting the hip and knee. While prioritising non-surgical treatments whenever possible, he is adept at performing a wide range of procedures. These include cartilage, ligament, and meniscal repairs for knee injuries, as well as surgical interventions for early and advanced osteoarthritis. His surgical repertoire encompasses partial and total knee replacements, robotic-assisted knee replacements, total hip replacements, and revision joint replacements.
