Mr Edward Ibrahim is a Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon with specialist expertise in shoulder, arm, elbow, forearm, and wrist conditions. He is particularly recognised for his focus on accurate diagnosis, combining clinical experience with the latest research into biomechanical causes of injury. This ensures that every patient receives an individually tailored treatment plan aimed at achieving the best recovery outcomes and reducing the chance of recurrence.
Believing that most problems can be managed without surgery, Mr Ibrahim promotes non-operative treatments wherever possible. When surgery is required, he offers a comprehensive range of procedures, from advanced keyhole techniques to complex reconstructions. He regularly treats conditions such as rotator cuff injuries, frozen shoulder, bursitis, arthritis, tendon tears, nerve compression syndromes, and traumatic fractures and dislocations.
Mr Ibrahim graduated with distinction in Medicine from University College London and completed orthopaedic training at Harvard Medical School, the Oxford School of Surgery, and Imperial College London. Awarded first prize for his Master’s in Surgical Education, he has published research on surgical preparation that has influenced both practice and teaching.
Further specialist training in nerve and upper limb surgery at leading UK and European centres has shaped his expertise. A former university tennis captain, he continues to compete, giving him unique insight into treating athletes aiming to return to sport.

My consultation & follow up consultation was punctual. Edward was welcoming , friendly & thorough. He asked me relevant questions and listened patiently to my answers & then sent me to book in a MRI immediately after my consultation. I had my MRI a few days after my consultation. A few days later I had a follow up with Edward to explain my diagnosis clearly with options.
My appointments with Mr. Ibrahim have been very professional; he is consistently courteous and polite. By listening to my concerns and providing thorough consultations, he has successfully remedied my painful shoulder.

My recent visit was with Dr Edward Ibrahim. He was very nice and approachable, with excellent bedside manner. Following my symptoms, he arranged for an injection to be given immediately to help relieve my pain, making the time to do this on the same day so I didn’t need to return on another occasion, and organising everything in a way that was convenient for me.
Very happy with the all round experience from initial meeting, procedure and post operation care.
I had a fall that caused inflammation in my wrist and visited Mr Ibrahim. He was patient, thorough and considerate in his assessment and treatment which was resolved via a steroid injection, his care through the entire process was faultless
