I’m so grateful to Dr Lam for stepping in when my original obstetrician was unavailable. She was kind, attentive and genuinely listened to my concerns, which made me feel very reassured throughout. I had a wonderful birth experience and felt completely supported in her care. I would highly recommend her.

I recently had Dr Lam as my consultant with the birth of my third baby. After two quick births with no pain relief born on the NHS I was seeking a more controlled birth with pain relief. At all points I felt listened to and supported by Dr Lam. She really understood my concerns and helped me to achieve a birth that took away the issues I had had with my first two births. She dealt with any changes promptly and supportively (when the baby was breech at 37 weeks and then made a quick turn back!) and I felt confident in her throughout the process. I would highly recommend Dr Lam. My husband described the birth as a very calm experience - very different to my previous births.

I had to change from midwife led to consultant around 34 weeks due to our baby being breech and i am so glad i chose Sarah-Jane to do my elective C section. From the first time i met Sarah-Jane she was kind, considerate, informative and gave me all the information i needed. It was my first c section and second baby. It was the most amazing experience, i would do it all over again and i would 100% choose Sarah-Jane to do it too. The recovery has been great and my wound has healed so well. This experience has genuinely healed me from a traumatic natural birth first time round and i cannot thank Sarah- Jane enough!

Doctor Lam was my obgyn throughout my entire pregnancy and delivery. When you read reviews about different obgyns before choosing you may be overwhelmed as they are all competent with strong track records, what sets Doctor Lam apart is how hard working she is (she will call you on a weekend if needed, text back at 10pm to answer your questions), her professional judgement: you know you are in good hands (she will tell you if a concern is minor vs. Needing to be seen), hyper detail oriented and diligent and finally she has a lot of empathy for all her patients. I had a Caesarian delivery and we walked through the entire process as well as the surgery, I never felt I was asking too many questions. The anaesthesiologist she works with is also incredibly competent and did wonders. I had an amazing experience on May 9th and looking forward to doing my post partum recovery with her as I know I will be in good hands! I couldn’t recommend her more!

I had a very positive experience under the care of Dr Lam throughout my pregnancy and delivery. She was consistently professional, attentive, and reassuring, which made a big difference when comparing to my first delivery. I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes during my pregnancy, and I really appreciated her approach when managing it. She provided personalised advice and explored options with me rather than immediately defaulting to medication. I felt she was always acting in my best interest. I had a nature delivery, and the delivery went pretty much according to plan and I didn’t felt traumatised after the delivery. What stood out most to me was her dedication after the delivery of my baby. A few hours later, in the middle of the night, my blood pressure dropped unexpectedly. Although she didn’t need to come back to the hospital from home but she chose to came back and check on me personally. That level of care and commitment meant a lot—it made me feel looked after during a vulnerable moment. I’m very grateful for her compassion and professionalism, and I would highly recommend Dr Lam to anyone looking for an obstetrician who truly goes above and beyond for their patients.
