Mr John Ferris

From the first meeting with Mr Ferris to the post operation follow-up, everything was first class. The pre-operation information and video was very informative and reassuring. The staff at Tetbury Hospital were friendly and caring. The operation procedure was explained again and during the operation Mr Ferris explained what he was doing at each stage and made sure I was comfortable throughout. There was no discomfort and certainly no pain during or after the op'. From my point of view it could not have gone better.

Following consultation with Mr John Ferris the decision to have both eyes operated on at the same day at Tetbury hospital was easily made. The pre operative information was very clear so when the day arrived I was tense but unworried. The whole experience in Tetbury from reception, pre-operative preparation, the time in the operating theatre, and discharge was handled in a friendly and extremely professional manner. Throughout I had absolute confidence in my surgeon, John Ferris. In the days following I could not believe how clear and bright the world was. I consider this the best investment I have made.

Having both eyes operated on at the same time was daunting but it was not a problem apart from having to apply eye drops to both eyes. I was also concerned about driving afterwards but I waited until 4 days after the operation which was fine.

I must admit that having a thing about eyes I was very apprehensive about having the surgery! However the overall experience was excellent and in no time at all both my cataracts had been removed and lenses replaced. Absolutely amazing to be able to read without glasses minutes after the surgery. My vision has continued to improve and I no longer need glasses at all. Amazing!

Very friendly and professional service. Felt I was in safe hands for what was a procedure I was worried about. But Mr Ferris's calm and friendly demeanour and the excellent service I received at his surgery and Tetbury Hospital made both procedures much more bearable.

Right from the first meeting for cataract surgery, I felt confident and reassured regarding the procedures, all the necessary tests and the type of lenses I would have. This has all worked out amazingly well and I am so happy with my resulting vision.

I was very apprehensive about eye surgery however the procedure was recommended by my optician who I have complete faith and trust in so I decided to go ahead and my optician referred me to Mr John Ferris . From the initial telephone appointment with Mr Ferris and then the pre procedure appointment everything was explained clearly and an informative video was available. I therefore felt much more relaxed and confident about going ahead with the procedure. The procedure was straightforward and I was made to feel relaxed and confident about the surgery. Having had the corrective surgery, for the first time in 60 years I am able to see without the need of glasses or contact lenses which is amazing. The whole experience was stress free and I am so glad I went ahead. John Ferris and his lovely efficient secretary Carole Anne certainly made the whole experience a pleasant one.

Following an annual check-up at an optician's it was evident that I had cataracts in both eyes. I was referred to Mr John Ferris, seen promptly and after his thorough examination had cataract surgery perfomred on both eyes in one visit. It was an almost painless experience and although mildly uncomfortable for a few days my sight was significantly improved shortly thereafter.

Had squint surgery from mr ferris and the results are beyond what I expected and he was never more then a phone call away if I had any concerns that’s the same for Carole. My surgery day I was made to feel welcome and understood and not rushed and it was over before I never knew it started thankyou so much to mr ferris and Carole once again

John performed refractive lens surgery on my wife and I. We couldn't be happier. His video explaining the procedure and options is excellent (and we have shared with others) and face to face discussions confirmed our suitability. Arrangements for the procedure we're all very efficient as was the process on the day with a lovely team at Tetbury hospital. Recovery was quicker than I imagined and John had prepared us for initial discomfort with glare and that full clarity will take some months.
