Excellent , professional, first class care and support from start to finish by my amazing consultant Mr Farid Ud-Din and all the amazing staff at The Meriden Hospital, Coventry . I had a left total hip replacement and leg length correction on the 8 December 2025 which was under the care of the amazing consultant / surgeon Mr Farid Ud-Din . I went down for surgery in the afternoon and had a spinal injection , this did not hurt in anyway and the care and support I received by the theatre team put me at ease. Once back in my room, the hospital room was excellent , very clean , I received the best care from all involved nursing staff , catering staff , physio team , porters , X-ray team , all the staff were amazing. I left the hospital the following day and was able to walk comfortably with the help of crutches , I made sure I stuck to the advice I was given taking my prescribed medication to control the pain , made sure I done my exercises daily , 3 times a day , this has helped build my strength . After 5 weeks I am now walking around the house without any aids and walking short distances with ease . I would like to sincerely thank Mr Ud-Din for everything he has done for me in giving me my quality of life back , pain free and enjoying life to the full . Thank you to all involved for everything you have done for me , I cannot Thank you enough .

Mr Daniel Dowen

On admission to Sunderland Royal Hospital in February 2025 I was placed in the care of Mr. Dowen. I was in very severe pain in my right leg after a fall at home in November 2024. Despite earlier hospitalisation I had had 16 weeks without any alleviation of the pain. The care I received from Mr Dowen and his whole team was second to none. I couldn’t have been in better hands. Within a very few days Mr Dowen carried out a very complex operation which was followed by 48 hours in Intensive Care and I was soon totally without pain. The bedside manners of Mr Dowen and his team were excellent. All procedures were explained to me before they were carried out. Although they were all busy people they made me feel that they had all the time in the world for me. The aftercare I received on discharge was just as good with several outpatient visits arranged, mainly with Mr Dowen himself, so that he could keep tabs on my progress. I honestly don’t think I could have had any better care and will always be very grateful for the treatment I received.

Steve is excellent. Personable and very professional and clearly knows his stuff. He operated on our son following a shoulder dislocation playing rugby. Throughout the process, Steve was clear with the surgical options and very thorough in his explanations, particularly understanding with the emotions of a teenager and his desperation to be back on the pitch again. He has a friendly manner and was always quick to answer extra questions we had between consultations. He did an excellent surgical job on our son and we’d have no hesitation in recommending him. This was my first visit to your clinic . I was apprehensive but was shown to the waiting area and had to wait only a couple minutes to meet Prof O’Donnell . My daughter ( a nurse ) was with me. Prof O’Donnell set me at ease straight away and explained what he was going to do . He examined both my legs and told no medical procedure was necessary and he would see me again in 3 months. He explained everything clearly and I was glad my daughter was present. I left Prof O’ Donnell’s room very relieved. He was a pleasure and a great person to meet when I was a worried patient. My father has recently had both cataracts removed at Visio Health. He had been advised not to drive and was anxious about waiting for Surgery on the NHS. He was apprehensive due to having COPD and keeping still for the operation. When undertaking base line assessment prior to the procedure, this was conducted in the reception area. During this taking place, 3 other people arrived and seated themselves in the reception area. We were unclear if they were members of the public, staff or other appointments. They were not introduced to us as observers for my treatment. The introduction didn't occur until Prof Zveorov arrived, then introductions were made and my family was made aware they were from other institutions to learn and observe. The support and treatment were excellent.

Throughout my experience Dr. Al-Kari unhurriedly took the time to discuss and explain the procedure of removing my gallbladder. Pre-operation I felt relaxed and confident of his ability. Immediately after the operation I appreciated his bedside conversation telling abut my individual procedure and the consultation which would be arranged for 2-3 weeks later. At every stage I have been entirely satisfied and would not hesitate in recommending him to others or returning to his care for any further surgery.

You are able to see a doctor quickly, they have all your notes in front of them and have excellent referal doctors should you need further support. I cannot recomend Dr. Nik Chopra and his team more highly. It also means you take pressure off your local GP who can then spend their time with patients who need to use the NHS service. Think outstanding service and value for money.

We had time and I felt more me walking out of the practice than I had for weeks for speaking to someone who listened and clearly understands what we all go through with our hormones.

Staff and facilities were amazing. The only thing I felt could be improved was the food. Generally it felt like there was quantity over quality. I had overcooked fish. I selected a starter of prawn and avocado salad one day as I wasn’t overly hungry and was presented with a huge bowl of salad which was swimming in the dressing which wasn’t pleasant. As I say everything else was amazing I just expected the food to match the service.

I had experienced a difficult delivery and spent a day in the High Dependency Unit before moving up to the Stanley Clayton Ward where the midwife team were absolutely incredible! All members of the team were incredibly attentive and supportive when needing advise on breastfeeding and changing, as well as offering round the clock medical care for both mum and baby.
