The cataract in my right eye, which had been quite noticeable, was operated on in the second week of November this year. The less advanced cataract in the left eye was dealt with a fortnight later. My second eye is still settling in, but my surgeon, Mr Park, appears to have produced an excellent overall outcome for me. Having discussed the options with Mr Park, I chose to have a lens in my right (dominant) eye which enables me to see at distance, whilst for the left, I have one which is more suited to closer work. I may need reading glasses for really close work, but using my computer screen presents no problem. Asking questions was encouraged and all queries were dealt with clearly. The staff, and particularly the opthalmic technicians, obviously knew what they needed to do in support of the surgical procedures and all was handled very efficiently. Special thanks to Nurse Debbie who was looking after me, a somewhat anxious patient, before and after the two operations.

My journey started with a random blood test where high calcium and parathyroid levels were found. After further testing I was diagnosed with Hyperparathyroidism. I then set out to find a surgeon to complete my parathyroidectomy. After an extensive search I found Shad Khan. My initial consultation went well and my surgery was scheduled at the New Foscote Hospital in Banbury. I would like to thank Mr Khan for his excellent care and skill, my recovery has been smooth, and I am very pleased with the outcome of my surgery. I found Mr Khan to be an exceptional surgeon with incredible skill and truly compassionate, and reassuring approach. Mr Khan's expertise truly made a difference to my life, and I feel incredibly lucky to have been in his care. I would also like to extend my thanks to all the supporting staff at the New Foscote Hospital who were also very kind and professional.

Always greeting me with a smile along with a joke or two, easing the tension in the room. Whether it’s good or not so good news, his delivery is always honest and always impeccable. I have received nothing but the upmost care from all staff. The parking is simple on arrival and great to have disabled spaces immediately outside for collection post op! I have always been called through to my appointments on time and at times even earlier if I've arrived early myself. The staff that have stood out to me and taken wonderful care are Louise, Ruby, Jessie in the surgery department and Sandy in the post care department. Everywhere is always clean, with a warm welcome from reception. It's a lovely touch to use the drinks machine in the waiting area, the hot chocolate is delicious. I cannot fault any of my treatment or care by the Mcindoe staff, its exceptional.

Had an immigration medical appointment for Australia. I was running late and had to reschedule my AM appointment. Sent an email as the call option was automated message but the email was promptly replied and I was rebooked for the next available PM appointment. It meant I had to wait longer but they were swift to accommodate me and the services from reception to chest X-ray and GP examination was brilliant. I was offered the Polio vaccine and a painless blood tests. Overall I recommend 100%.

He explained the issues with my foot clearly using videos, models and drawings and came up with a plan moving forward which was realistic but will hopefully leave me pain free in the future. I am so relieved to have found him after a run of visiting other professionals that in my opinion have been sadly lacking in their abilities.

I was asked to arrive approximately 1.5 hours before the procedure with a full bladder, the latter of which was not necessary. It was a very long and uncomfortable waiting time and I would have brought a book should someone have told me this in advance. This was no reflection on Mr Alhasso though, who was excellent.
