    Mr Jamie Griffiths

    Orthopaedic Surgeon

Mr Griffiths was extremely informative during the initial consultation and very responsive to my questions which made it easy for me to make the decision to go ahead with the hip replacement and the type to go for with minimum invasive surgery. He instilled confidence from the outset. The only aspect which caused me some degree of anxiety was not knowing what type of anaesthesia to choose for the procedure, until just before the operation ( the first in my medical history). JG had indeed advised that this would be the case but, during the months leading up to the op, I spoke with a number of friends/relations who relayed a range of experiences and a number giving their advice. A few had had GA and more went the local epidural route, although one of the latter had experienced far too much consciousness in terms of what was going on. I had read up about both and the various pros and cons ( info provided very helpful in this regard) and came along on the day with an open mind to confer with the anaesthetist, complete with my music and earphones if needed. In fact, after speaking with him it was easy to choose to go the local anaesthesia route and he put my mind at rest that he could sedate me so that I would not be aware of the procedure. I never finished listening to the first track of my music playlist ( I made sure I didn't have it on shuffle - my younger brother did for his hip replacement only to randomly get the track "the first cut is the deepest" to listen to at the start!!) I came round in recovery and all was complete. In some ways I would have liked to have had an early discussion with the anaesthetist so that I had made my decision ahead of the procedure rather than pondering it for so long. However that is a small negative compared to the outcome of the hip replacement with which I am extremely pleased. I had no leg swelling to speak of, very manageable pain, off crutches in 10 days and yesterday after 6 weeks walked some 11km mostly cross country. ( Walking distance had been the major problem instigating my hip replacement as that/hiking is an important part of my life). This has far exceeded my expectations and I am looking forwards to getting back on the tennis doubles court after a further 6 weeks of exercising and physio. If and when the other hip needs doing, I would have no hesitation in returning to Mr Griffiths again. Many thanks to him and the team.

Autism Assessment (17-year-old ) Comprehensive and compassionate ADOS-2 assessment for a teeenager After my son's ADHD assessment, we sought clarity around potential autism. The ADOS-2 assessment at London Trusted Therapy was thorough beyond our expectations. From the first contact, Sofi and Andrew made the onboarding process smooth and stress-free, which was particularly important given my son's anxiety about the assessment. Pinero House itself is a gem - discreet, professional, with a small, well-managed reception that provides genuine privacy rather than the impersonal waiting areas you find at larger clinics. The consulting room was spacious and comfortable, feeling more like a welcoming study than a clinical environment, which immediately put my son at ease. Trish, the ADOS-2 assessor, was exceptional - her knowledge and gentle approach meant my son felt understood rather than examined. The clinical psychologist's report was remarkably thorough, providing insights that have genuinely helped us understand our son better. The multidisciplinary approach meant we received a complete picture rather than a tick-box exercise. Highly recommend for families seeking answers.

This was so different from when I was here 10 years ago. The nursing staff were so lovely this time, cheerful and friendly and Lou was particularly helpful. All staff everywhere were kind and pleasant. The physiotherapists led by Carmen were astonishing. Their whole approach was helpful and kindly, the exercises were achievable, the support was just excellent including the post op phone call to me at home. I feel really positive about it all. I also commend the food, it was fantastically good especially the lamb stew, very Elizabeth David . And I really liked the inflating things on my feet the first night, very soothing. The one thing I didn't like was the tsunami of emails with essential information, each with a link to a cloud, needing a password . This took ages to navigate, and I gave up. When I mentioned this in person I got a really good booklet which I'm still using. It takes seconds to flip from section to section, it works and is useful. Perhaps if each email made it clear what section it's about, then that might help. But it's quicker to use the paper version.

I had been struggling with my hearing for a long time and visited several doctors, but unfortunately there was no improvement and no clear diagnosis. It was only when I met Dr Mohammed Al-Khatib that I finally understood what my real problem was. He is an outstanding ENT doctor — extremely knowledgeable, professional and patient. He took the time to listen carefully, explained my condition in a clear and reassuring way, and made me feel confident from the first appointment. Although my hearing had not improved before, Dr Al-Khatib was the first doctor who truly identified the issue and put me on the right path. I am very grateful for his expertise and care, and I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an excellent ENT specialist.

After a mole on my shoulder began to grow, I booked a private consultation with a specialist who had removed others by Crotherapy. He told me that he could only do it after the infection which had caused it to change, had been cured and prescribed a course of antibiotics. The infection increased after several courses of six different antibiotics which were prescribed by my NHS practice were not able to halt its progress. My daughter Annie convinced me to book an appointment at Essex Private GP. I was seen on the same day and the correct antibiotics to target the infection were identified and prescribed at my first visit. There is already a significant improvement, thank you.

When I first started looking for an endometriosis specialist and came across Mr Raza and all the positive reviews, I wondered: ‘can he really be that great?!’. The answer: yes he was. I had stage 4 DIE and a frozen pelvis. Mr Raza not only had the technical skill and expertise to deal with a complex case (with minimally invasive and cutting edge surgery) but also showed so much care and compassion, which gave me so much confidence and reassurance going into my surgery. The whole experience, including the recovery, has been so so positive and I would fully recommend him.

We had a very positive experience with Dr Awadalla. She was extremely polite and helpful throughout the appointment. She took the time to ask detailed questions to fully understand the background of my daughter’s headaches. We really appreciated that she laid out a clear plan going forward, including how to continue the current medication and what the next steps would be if things don’t improve. Overall, it was a very helpful and reassuring consultation, and we felt that our daughter was in excellent hands.

I am currently 6wks PO from having BA with Mr Apostolou. I cannot recommend him enough. Mr Apostolou was very professional and reassured any uncertainties I may have had. I am very happy with the results and I have not had any problems whatsoever. My very short stay at Nuffield Hospital was very pleasant and I was very well cared for, even after surgery with routine check ups. I will certainly be recommending Mr Apostolou to friends who I know are considering the same surgery.

Lucy made me feel at ease from the first minute of our video call. I was able to unmask myself and let her see me how I really am, very different from a previous ADHD and autism assessment with a different provider. She was extremely thorough and asked questions in a way that she was able to tease out answers when I was stuck but did not ask leading questions. She was very empathetic and kind even though she obviously had to follow a script and procedure.

Living Mind provides a very high standard of care for ADHD treatment. The overall process was well organised, professional, and efficient, from initial assessment through to ongoing support. Communication was clear and timely, and the approach felt structured while still being personalised. The quality of care has had a clear positive impact on my daily functioning, and I would confidently recommend the clinic to others seeking specialist ADHD support.

I had a laparoscopic hysterectomy and from the moment I met Mr Duncan I felt in safe hands. His manner and vast experience put my mind at rest and had no anxiety of having the operation at all. I had a wait of around six weeks. All went very successfully in the operation, in the Norwich Spire and recovering at home. The follow up appointment and detailed explanation with amazing photos was incredible. I highly recommend him and his team.

Communication about where the treatment was to take place could have been a bit clearer - appointment was arranged via Shawfair Park reception but treatment was actually at Murrayfield which wasn't clear to me. Murrayfield reception also called and seemed surprised too that it has been done by Shawfair but didn't clarify where it was happening. All worked out in the end though.

He answered all my questions and had already made my next appointment which was very reassuring as it gave me a plan. Thank you so much.

Excellent. Dr Denton took the time to explain the anatomy of my shoulder, what was causing me pain and the treatment that he would provide. He used ultrasound to identify and explain to me the areas in my shoulder that were causing me problems. The procedure was carried out efficiently and painlessly.
