He explained what he was seeing throughout the scan, which was incredibly reassuring and gave me complete confidence in the accuracy of the assessment. What really stood out was the level of care throughout the appointment. Louis is not only highly skilled but also calm, approachable, and professional. He made what could have been a daunting appointment feel relaxed, informative, and reassuring, and I left feeling fully informed and confident in the next steps discussed. He got the report sent over to my surgeon straight away which was really great as I could have a follow up appointment within the week. I don’t even know where to begin, because Ms Jajini Varghese was with me at both the lowest and most hopeful points of my life. She was the one who delivered devastating news — and yet she did so with honesty, warmth and humanity. She held my hand, hugged me, spoke to me as a woman, not just a patient. She never sugar-coated, but she always gave me hope. I had a single mastectomy through the NHS, and from the very beginning she was open about expectations while still doing everything she could for the best possible outcome. She told me she would try to save my nipple — and she did. I came out of surgery with excellent symmetry, far beyond what I had been prepared for. At my final check-up (seen by another consultant), he examined me and said he struggled to see which breast had been reconstructed. When he asked who my surgeon was and I told him, his response was simply: “You were operated on by the best.” What stands out most is not just her exceptional surgical skill, but who she is as a person. She is real, warm, relatable .A woman’s woman. She spoke openly, shared human moments, and made me feel brave when I didn’t feel brave at all. If you are facing breast cancer and reconstruction and are scared, I hope you read this and know that you can place your trust in this incredible NHS surgeon. I will forever be grateful.

I sought treatment after being refused by the state health care services here in Germany. They congratulated me that I was healthy when my bloodworm showed testosterone levels of 280ng/dL (cut off point for treatment is 220) and sent me on my way, feeling exhausted no matter how much rest or sleep I got I wasn’t able to be a good dad for my two little children which is heartbreaking for me. So I took matters into my own hands and settled on BMH after contacting a few provider. Extremely professional, the case manager Tal was consistently attentive, showed genuine interest in my case. After two blood tests over the course of six weeks I was accepted and within a couple of weeks thereafter started treatment. Well, what a life changing experience that was. If you have creaking joints, feel tired all the time, libido on the way out, just go for it. Become alive again. No need to live like that. Anyway, I hope that is convincing enough for you dear reader! State health services are no longer fit for purpose. Whether you get treatment is a financial decision and doesn’t reflect your suffering. So take your health into your own hands.

Mr Ghosh was the third surgeon I saw after being diagnosed with breast cancer, and from the very first consultation I knew I was in expert hands. His competence and experience were immediately evident, and this was fully confirmed after my surgery. He performed a lumpectomy and, despite having to remove a very large tumour, he did an exceptional job preserving the shape of my breast. His calm and reassuring manner helped me feel at ease throughout the process, which meant more to me than I can express. I will always be grateful to Mr Ghosh for his skill and compassion. I truly cannot recommend him highly enough.
