Excellent bedside manner with a true desire to get to the bottom of a problem. Free from the often occurring "I am so brilliant vibes" that I at times got from other consultants. Refreshing down to earth, approachable, very friendly. Most importantly, excellent listening skills, does not try to convenience you of a diagnosis after only hearing a quarter but appears to be thorough before making up his mind. Excellent communicator, who gets a patient fully involved, showing pictures to explain and explaining what he sees on a screen. I initially was a bit apprehensive thinking, hmmm has not got 3 decades of experience like some practitioners I saw in the past. On reflection, a good thing, still greatly motivated to make a difference and passionate about what he does. Deos not leave you feel watching the clock (he went over time, thank you) or rushed. Overall so far a positive experience (first consultation). I usually don't leave long feedbacks but if someone "goes the extra mile", so will I. Most importantly, if you had negative experiences before with consultants causing you pain/flare ups in the night and following day(s) due to handling you roughly during an examination, then give Dr Raiman a try. He very carefully moved my limbs with utmost consideration during the necessary examination, which helps building trust.

Practice Plus Group Hospital, Barlborough

I had knee replacement surgery at the Practice Plus hospital at Barlborough on 29th November. The pain I experienced during the two weeks following the surgery on a scale of 1 to 10 I would rate at 8 to 9. Now that I am in my eight week of recovery my pain level is 1 or2 I had a problem in that during the first 2 weeks after surgery I was hardly able to sleep due to the pain when lying down and some nights I had zero hours of sleep. After discussion with the hospital pharmacist it became evident that one of the pain killing medicines I had been prescribed had insomnia as one of it’s side effects. After stopping this medication and taking an alternative my sleep pattern returned to normal and my recovery accelerated. From the experiences of friends who had undergone this surgery I knew that physiotherapy was the key to a successful outcome. The physiotherapy I received at Barlborough was exceptional. By following their exercise plans and receiving guidance at my follow-up visits I am now able walk for one hour virtually pain free, ride my static bike at home and if all goes well should be able to ride my bike on the road in a few weeks time. Mr James Singleton

After trying unsuccessfully to ignore my nagging knee pain I. Was getting out of the chair when it clicked and remained very painful thereafter. I decided to get a professional opinion and selected Mr James Singleton (James) as he specialised in knees and had extensive experience. Following a scan the issue and damage was clearly explained to me and options offered which James told me to take time to think about. I opted for a relatively new treatment called Arthrosamid which involved a painless injection under a local anaesthetic into the knee and 3 months later have gone from not being able to walk very far to 10,000 steps a day and am looking forward to further improvement in the coming months. I would highly recommend James and if I need the other knee done will certainly be contacting him. Thank you.

Having been to several medical professionals in my life, I can honestly say the care provided by Dr Katie Cowie is exceptional. She has a great bedside manner, there is no judgement and she is, very knowledgable and understanding. Personably speaking, I would now always consult her on my journey through peri-menopause and beyond. She is well worth the cost for such excellent one to one care. I also see her for weight loss and again, for anyone contemplating medical assisted weight loss, I would always recommend going through someone like Dr Cowie. The assistance she provides with her vast knowledge on the subject is invaluable. I’m so grateful to have met her. and I recommend her to everyone I know going through any women’s health issues.

I cannot recommend Dr Cavill highly enough. She treated me extremely effectively for post-viral fatigue, acute asthma, long COVID, and mast cell activation syndrome, and her expertise across multiple fields of medicine is truly outstanding. From the very first appointment, she combined exceptional clinical knowledge with a delightful, warm and friendly bedside manner. She listens very carefully, takes concerns seriously and explains everything with clarity and patience, which is incredibly reassuring when dealing with complex conditions. I always felt heard, understood and confident in her care. Dr Cavill is an exceptional consultant, and I would strongly recommend her to anyone seeking thorough, compassionate and expert medical treatment.

When I entered the premises I couldn’t believe the transformation that had taken place as I was familiar with the building when it was a hairdressing salon. It was spacious, immaculate and tranquil. Having been quite anxious before my appointment, I quickly relaxed as all the staff were extremely friendly and kind. All the tests were performed swiftly and smoothly with every concern for my comfort and my understanding of the procedures involved. Mrs. Matthews explained my forthcoming cataract surgery clearly, comprehensively and reassuringly and I was very pleased to be offered the surgery I such a short space of time. All in all I couldn’t have wished for a better experience with North Wales Eye Specialist Centre.

It’s underneath my chin, lopsided, on top of any tissue, not even near my chin bone, and they refute 2nd opinions I’ve had that there’s anything wrong with this. They also promised me a referral for a CT scan for months but keep deferring. So I’ve had to arrange these scans myself to get proof needed. Made a formal complaint and didn’t even get a written response. Independent adjudication (ISCAS) next then Small Claims. They will not take responsibility for negligence/errors so beware! Please pass on so people are aware - as this needs to be made public

All staff were very efficient and attentive. There were two areas of concern. The cocktail of pain killers was not fully explained to me and I was severely sick both in hospital and at home on my release day, Saturday December 6th. My wife at 2000hrs rang the ward from home and was able to travel to the hospital collect an anti nausea prescription, this at 21.30. Jasmine (ward 1) and Sophie(ward 2) were brilliant. In addition, having been told at 1.30 I could go home my wife and I eventually left at approximately 4.30. Surprisingly there was only one porter on duty on the Saturday afternoon.
