I have been so pleased with my experience of surgery by Dr Shilen Patel. At the first consultation he explained very clearly and in detail what my operation would entail and the possible risks, but without scaring me. This gave me a lot of confidence for the day of the operation, and the surgery went very well. When dressings were removed 10 days after my operation I was really surprised to see how neat the wound was, and it was healing nicely. I had very little pain, and Mr Patel explained to me at my follow up appointment that the tumour had been removed fully without rupturing, so there is very little chance of it returning. He had also explained how they had worked to ensure they did not damage a nearby nerve which I had been so relieved about. In conclusion, I was very pleased with the overall treatment received and with the care and respect I was shown. Thank you.

I was recently referred to The Alexandra hospital as an NHS patient for a left hip replacement. I was very nervous as I have a rare genetic condition called 'Nail Patella Syndrome' which affects my bones and my previous, right hip replacement was complicated when my femur broke during surgery. Mr Phaltankar was wonderful. He explained everything to me and was a real gentleman. The surgery was a huge success using a different, smaller prosthetic. I would highly recommend Mr Phaltankar. I cannot thank him enough for sorting out my very painful left hip. I would also like to add that being at 'The Alex' for this surgery was a fabulous experience. The care I received throughout was second to none. I could not have received better care.

My son attended for squint surgery on both eyes. Mr Yeo and his team were amazing and as a family we can not thank him enough. They made my 12 year old son feel at ease and explained everything they were going to do in a clear and professinal manner. Even after the surgery a member of Mr Yeo's team came to explain the next steps in my son's post-operative care. Thank you for taking such good care of our son and for all you have done. It is very much appreciated and I know this surgery will have a massive impact on the social aspect of his future as before this surgery his squint had started to impact on the things he enjoyed such as sports. He now can't wait to get back on the football pictch once he has recovered :)

10/10 experience. We had our 10 year old son assessed for ADHD. From the moment i called to enquire about the process and what are the steps involved to the actually assessment, everyone has been amazing. Steven in the front office walked me through the entire process, what to expect, costings etc. he was polite, kind and very professional. Dr Hollie Hearfield who did the assessment was lovely. She was so good with our son, she explained everything to us as to what the next steps are. I cannot recommend you enough to others who might be thinking of going private. Appointment on 31/01/2026- 1. Poor mobile network at the reception area, irrespective of mobile network provider. 2. Staff at reception does not know who visitors can log to use wi-fi. In my case I need wifi to access BUPA app to provide treatment authorisation code. I had to walk outside in the rain to be able to get network. 3. Staff at reception gave the wrong consultation room. 4. Waited past appointment time and when back to query. Told appointment at a different consultation room. Always had issues at reception

Due to a complication following a Trebeculectomy, I did have some anxiety as to whether or not I would have normal sight again. Dr. Zollet was always very professional answering my questions and taking the time to explain, in terms I could understand, what outcomes were possible and the treatment he proposed. I found him very reassuring and someone I could trust. The outcome of his treatment is that my sight has normalized and whilst my eye pressure was unduly high it is hoped it will reduce over the coming weeks

The admin side of things was a bit bad. Had the wrong shoulder down for surgery and even though said it would be changed still had the wrong shoulder listed on day of surgery. Unfortunately I am in the process of compiling an official complaint regarding the nurse I had on the day of my surgery, worst nurse I have ever had in my 52 years on Thai earth. Truly awful and needs to be removed from the ward.
