Her explanation of my diagnosis and the treatment required filled me with confidence prior to my surgery, and the post operative care has been fantastic. Despite being discharged 24 hours after surgery, Professor Harji has called me on a daily basis to check on my progress and advise me on any questions I may have had. I would also like to say that after only 7 days since my surgery my recovery rate has been remarkable, apart from a small amount of discomfort and pain from the incisions in my abdomen I feel really good . The entire journey to replace my hip joint was expertly handled by the NTC in Kirkcaldy. From the pre op through to the day of surgery everything was explained by very polite and pleasant staff. The surgery and aftercare were excellent and I was able to return home next day . The nursing staff were excellent, attentive and very caring . All of the care from physio , OT, nursing team and theatre staff was excellent. I would recommend Mr Keenan and the NTC team to anyone needing a similar surgery. At the Breast Centre, everyone I have seen has been very nice & professional, especially Ms Lobo & Ms Patel. A very special thank you to Alina who has explained everything so clearly , who checks in regularly to see if I’m okay & at the end of the phone if I need her. Receptionists very friendly too!

This was for me reassuring as the risks were made clear. On the operation visit and stay there was no attempt to ‘sell’ the procedure but explain the possible outcomes. It was a good experience, but one I would liked not to have gone through!
