About Mr Edward Pringle
Mr Pringle is a Consultant Ophthalmologist based at King's College Hospital, London. He studied medical sciences at Cambridge University and graduated from Oxford University Clinical School. Mr Pringle then undertook subspecialist training in inflammatory eye disease, medical and surgical retina in London. He also practices, teaches, trains and lectures in cataract surgery and all aspects of retinal disease including diabetic retinopathy, age-related macular degeneration, retinal vein occlusion, retinal detachment, macular hole, epiretinal membrane and uveitis.

I had my eye operation in October 2025. Mr Pringle's manner was very reassuring and calming. I felt safe and everything was explained to me fully in terms that I understood. After the operation I had regular check ups until had completely and ready to be signed off. I am very happy with the care that I have received and would highly recommend Mr Pringle and the hospital.
Mr Pringle was recommended for a family member who was very pleased with his outcome. So when I needed help chose Mr Pringle as well and have been very satisfied with the experience. He really took time to discuss different options applicable to me. Ensured I had a full understanding before progressing with further treatment. Due to his experience and consultations I felt very confident in his care and have had a very positive experience.
