I was filled with confidence on meeting Mr Pringle for the first time as I was somewhat apprehensive after my unsuccessful cataract operation 2 days earlier in which my new lens did not stabilise. Three days later I underwent a vitrectomy by Mr Pringle and due to only having a local anaesthetic I was aware throughout the whole one and a half hour surgery that all was going well and I felt no pain. Mr Pringle was pleased with the results in our follow up consultation and explained that recovery would be in the region of 4-6 weeks. I look forward to seeing him again on 25 th April to hopefully view further progress. I am glad that Mark Westcott recommended him to me to perform the necessary surgery. Maurice M
