Here is my story. I am 72 and severely deaf (70-90db)! So without hearing aids its lip reading for me...... I was having problems with my new generation hearing aids supplied by a leading brand - which I had been using for 8 years or so. Three or four fittings and the experience was not great - muffled, croaky voices and poor sound dynamics (loud - soft). So I asked my Portobello GP if he had any ideas as it was time for me to check out another audiologist - either it was my hearing going down further or the hearing aids. He recommended Pindrop - saying it was the only show in town! Thats when I met Christina. First thing she did was an audiogram then a hearing-in-noise test in a booth. First time for me! Came as a big surprise that I had never been offered this test before. I was hearing only 48% of what was being broadcast. So she re-fitted the hearing aids using the new audiogram and then using REM software, adjusted the proprietary fitting program. Also new to me! We re did the hearing-in-noise test and it went up to 86%. So a big improvement for me and those who engage with me. Also real verification - not trial and error - which was my previous experience. So a big thanks to Christina. Christina then suggested I may do even better with the new Phonak Sphere hearing aids. Next generation using AI can reduce unwanted noise materially. So of course i said yes. And they are truly excellent - I have now been using them for 2 weeks. Much better than the previous brand. A step change. So my hearing experience has taken a huge jump up! So well done Christina on this. It is the most important hope of the deaf! The supply and setting up of the all the new equipment: hearing aids, moulds, back ups, roger, tv connector, apps was all done smoothly and efficiently. They also all hand shake very well - turn on the tv: it streams automatically. Same with online meetings and i-phone. No manual switching needed. Roger just works when turned on. So altogether a big win for me. Thanks Pindrop and thanks Christina. I will be even happier when Pindrop offers Whats App messaging to its customers - hopefully soon!

I cannot recommend Dr Karoshi highly enough. From my very first consultation through to my now 2nd hysteroscopic fibroid resection with him, he has been exceptional. His calm manner, genuine care, and expertise made a potentially overwhelming experience feel manageable and safe. I felt truly listened to and cared for not just as a patient but as a person, after so many visits to other gynae’s who either misdiagnosed or didn’t take further action based on my concerns Dr Karoshi was my light at the end of the tunnel and has given me hope after so many years of heartache and difficulty. I am deeply grateful for his skill and kindness and would recommend him without hesitation to anyone needing gynaecological care.

It was OK. Sorry this system doesn't allow me to write why I went there and therefore wastes my time! I was there for a Pre op assessment. My Op is 9 Feb 2026 under Dr Panos Gikas. I asked him if I could attend this clinic as it is nearer where I live. The. appointment was alright. The only issue I had was that when it came to having a blood test, they insisted that I had to have 2 separate ones in each arm? I get blood tests regularly as I have a long term condition. The first one was relatively pain free which was performed by Isabella. The second was performed by Riggs(?) and was unneccessarily painful due to him holding down the needle when it was in my arm. I was not happy about that. I did not understand the reason for the second blood test, when one is usually fine and if more blood is required, then usually another vial is attached as necessary.

Apprehensicw,about todays appointment lead to an afib episode prior ,on.arival professionally asked whether a studenr could be present i had no objection. He allowed me to explain my situation history and current feelings ,i did not feel ant time pressures and felt he was genuiniely listening to my concerns. Presented my options regarding my afib maling a point many tines to reassure me about my issue. I felt at ease,he didnt hokd back about my bicuspid aorta valve preparinf me for what im sure will inevitably be needing to be replaced. Talked about my exersising and current routine and advised to keep up every thing im doing suggested no increase to my medicatiin as already bradycardic and in fact this might be a trgger this i was not aware. Overall a very professional dr whom i would have no quarms about seeing

Mr Worthington explained on the basis of the scans that he had from St Peters the reasons for suggesting a medical procedure to drain a 4cm wide absess on my pancreas (not incidentally present on scans taken in April) He expained that there would be a biopsy taken to establish its nature and possibly the need to insert a stent temporarily. I was very satisfied with this proposed further treatment, albeit a bit surprised that the team at St Peters had not suggested that it should be done. I forgot to ask whether, if a repeat pancreatitis attack occurred, it would be possible for me to be admitted to Nuffield Guildford for treatment, insured by BUPA. And if so, what do I do at the outset, call 999 or the Nuffield?

Honestly, it was an amazing experience from start to finish. Everyone I spoke to was incredibly friendly and efficient, and the attention to detail really stood out. Dr Al- Dadah has been very helpful and kind every step of the way. I had a meniscus tear. He did the MRI and shared informed alternative course of action. We agreed to do a steroid injection to manage the pain and booked a surgery to “tidy up” the meniscus. The Dr team was very kind and answered promptly all my questions ( pre op jitters), giving me amazing reassurance. The operation ran smoothly and 2 weeks later I got the stitches removed. Almost 95% mobility back already and pain free.

Mr Macleod recommended and undertook my treatment - resulting in the best possible outcome for my broken arm and damaged shoulder. He was professional, polite and also just did that little bit extra which made all the difference during my treatment and to my overall experience in what was a stressful and difficult time. I can’t recommend (or thank) him highly enough, and feel the end result would have been different (less movement/less pain, etc.) if I had seen a different consultant.
