My first appointment with Dr James Thing went very well though I had to phone the clinic to say that I would be late for my appointment since the taxi broke down on the way. I arrived at the clinic with my husband 15 minutes late, but I was seen by Dr Thing without further delay. He told us that there was a patient who was on hour late on that day perhaps due to the cold weather. Dr Thing checked my medical details, my knee conditions in both legs, examined my knees carefully before looking them closely on the screen. I had bilateral Ostenil Plus Knee injections while the doctor was guided by Ultrasound Scan to insert the needles into the exact area of my knees. I had a little sensation when the needles were inserted but it was done in a gentle manner that I was feeling alright throughout the time of insertion. The whole procedure went smoothly and the doctor said he would see me in a year's time. In the meantime I was to take it easy and rest well for my knees to heal and he would write me an email in three weeks' time to see how I was doing.

I recently completed a course of CBT sessions with Dr Sharon Pettit, focusing on managing my anxiety, worry, and rumination. When I first began, I struggled significantly with social interactions, often feeling socially awkward and fixating on past conversations. My mind would race with worries about things entirely beyond my control, pushing my anxiety levels to an all-time high. It felt like I was in a constant state of fight or flight, from the moment I woke up until I went to bed, leaving me completely drained. Now, almost six months later, I've gained valuable tools to help manage my thoughts and emotions. While I wouldn’t say I’m completely cured, I feel about 75% better and am now enjoying a much happier life. I've decided to take a break from CBT for the time being, but I'm committed to returning if I notice my anxiety levels rising again.

Mr Kasem was very kind, made me feel confident I was going to have my scans and then he would give me a clear outcome that I would understand. He took the time, without me even asking, to explain the mammogram I had last week, what they had seen and how the scoring system worked. He then told me exactly what would happen today at the appointment and he specifically asked my consent to examine me, and again before he carried out the examination itself. He checked with me if I had any questions at the end of both the before and after consultations. Honestly, I could not think of a single thing that could have been better, I felt he was incredibly respectful and thoughtful as a doctor.

I chose galaxy lenses for my cataract surgery and am now very happy with the results. No need whatsoever for any glasses. The staff were all very kind and supportive, along with Mr Hove the surgeon who was quick and efficient with the procedure. I would recommend anyone who is thinking of this procedure to not be anxious, it is quick and painless and though your vision is a little blurry after it doesn't take long to resolve. Just had my 6 week follow up after a full knee replacement. I was seen early and after examining my knee, Mr Saksena thoroughly explained the healing process from now on regarding muscle strengthening. He checked that my physio sessions are going well and answered a couple of questions I had. It is my second knee replacement with Mr Saksena and would highly recommend him. He has a very friendly bedside manner, explains things well and I cannot thank him enough!!

The only area for improvement is the check-in process - quite often there is a queue of people waiting at reception and the vehicle registration screen is separate to the check-in form, which isn't very efficient. The waiting area and exam rooms are clean and tidy, the staff is friendly and helpful. I prefer coming here despite it being a longer drive than my nearest private hospital because of the great experience I've had previously.
