Mr James Pegrum

Mr James Pegrum is a Royal College of Surgeons Margaret Witt Scholar with a special interest in hip and knee surgery. Mr Pegrum takes pride in providing patient-centred care by listening carefully to each patient and then delivering a thorough and individually tailored assessment. They cover all hip and knee conditions, including arthritis, soft tissue and sports injuries.

Mr Pegrum specialises in hip and knee surgery, particularly joint replacements and partial knee replacements, and performs a large number of these procedures every year with excellent outcomes. Through specialist training in sports medicine, Mr Pegrum has developed expertise in arthroscopic surgery and regularly treats meniscal and knee injuries.

Their research interests involve techniques to optimise, improve and speed up recovery following surgery, and they have published widely in peer-reviewed journals. Mr Pegrum is passionate about education and is regularly invited to speak both internationally and locally. They also supervise trainee surgeons.
