Mr Will Poole is described as professional, kind, and reassuring. Patients report excellent outcomes from hip replacement surgery, experiencing pain relief and improved mobility with quick recovery. Mr Poole's explanations of procedures, options, and recovery expectations during thorough consultations ensure patients feel listened to and confident in his expertise. This positive feedback highlights successful outcomes for hip replacements, often addressing long-standing hip arthritis.
My elderly mother had a hip replacement under mr Poole at spire health care Bristol. The whole process was very positive, and mum was very complementary of Mr Poole and the whole team. She has made a very speedy recovery and is getting her life back again.
Mr Poole gave clear and understandable explanations of my treatments and necessary procedures.
Very happy with the operation. Clear explanations given pre and post op. The op went smoothly and I had a good recovery.
Mr Poole undertook my total hip replacement in April 2026 and from start to finish the experience has been incredible. At the initial consultation he clearly explained my hip problem and options, and gave me lots of opportunities to ask questions and allay fears. The same happened on the day pre-op. The support staff were also excellent, explaining clearly what would happen when, and what to expect. The operation itself went very well and pain was well controlled. I came home after 24 hours on 2 crutches, dropped to one crutch at day 8 and no crutches at day 23. My 6 week review with Mr Poole went very well, with re-assurance about some lingering stiffness and encouragement to really start pushing on with exercise and stretching. Now, 8 weeks post op, my wound is very well healed and I just have some residual but lessening muscle stiffness. My longest hike has been 10 miles with 300m ascent. My hip was not a limiting factor on that walk, and I know I can go much further. I am also returning to cycling now. I would not hesitate in recommending Mr Poole. He has great bedside manner and is obviously a great surgeon. Thankyou!
It was a pleasure to meet Will Poole recently when we discussed my hip operation (Thursday March 6th 2026) and am more than happy to say the procedure was most successful, and am now able to tie laces and put on shoes and have a straight back when supine. Appreciate it will take time to be completely back to normal but was reassured by the positive attitude of Will.
Friendly and informative pre and post op. Discharged less than 24 hours after surgery with no complications.
A very slick admission procedure with pleasant staff and relevantint information and the opportunity to ask questions.
I couldn’t recommend Mr. Poole more highly. I hope I replied to this request to review at the time, so I’m doing it again just in case. The whole experience was easy, I felt totally supported and reassured.
Mr Poole was kind, a good listener and extremely professional. He didn’t rush the consultations and was very thorough. I had 100% confidence in his clinical expertise. Thank you.
I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the incredible care I received during my hip replacement operation. I am now back on my feet and walking pain free. Your expertise, professionalism and kindness were truly appreciated. I shall be forever grateful ⭐️
