From my first consultation through to my last when I was discharged from his care, Bilal has been the most reassuring, calm, informative, patient and genuinely caring surgeon I could have wished for. During that first consultation he was not pushy and was very clear and thorough in his reasoning for recommending a TKR. He then explained what he would do during the procedure, what recovery would be like and his role throughout the process. Even when I had to postpone my operation due to an unrelated illness, he and his assistant were understanding and flexible, rescheduling for when would be most convenient for me. On the day of the operation, Bilal was at the hospital before I arrived and came to see me and again provide reassurance and clarity on what was happening. I next saw him in the anaesthetic area and I was in no doubt that I was in great hands. In the recovery area afterwards he was there making sure I was feeling as well as could be and then visited my room on both days post surgery to assess my progress and let me know his opinion. When I was in need of a repeat prescription for pain medication he was prompt and during my first post op consultation he was very encouraging, understanding and also clear on milestones I needed to hit. He also provided a sick note after discussing this with me. My last consultation was similar, and he first to say happy new year as well. I have a long way to go but I count myself lucky that I landed in the care of Bilal, and would recommend him to anyone with an acute knee condition.

From the moment I arrived, the staff were absolutely lovely, welcoming, and professional, which instantly put me at ease. The whole appointment felt calm and well organised, with no rushing at all. Dr Owen Weeks was fantastic — very kind, reassuring, and took the time to listen properly. He explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and made me feel genuinely comfortable and cared for. It was such a refreshing experience compared to feeling rushed elsewhere. Overall, it was a great doctor’s appointment and well worth going private. I left feeling reassured and confident, and I would highly recommend this service to anyone considering it. I wouldn’t hesitate to return in the future if I ever need to — a truly positive experience from start to finish.

She treated me extremely effectively for post-viral fatigue, acute asthma, long COVID, and mast cell activation syndrome, and her expertise across multiple fields of medicine is truly outstanding. From the very first appointment, she combined exceptional clinical knowledge with a delightful, warm and friendly bedside manner. She listens very carefully, takes concerns seriously and explains everything with clarity and patience, which is incredibly reassuring when dealing with complex conditions. I always felt heard, understood and confident in her care. Dr Cavill is an exceptional consultant, and I would strongly recommend her to anyone seeking thorough, compassionate and expert medical treatment.

When I entered the premises I couldn’t believe the transformation that had taken place as I was familiar with the building when it was a hairdressing salon. It was spacious, immaculate and tranquil. Having been quite anxious before my appointment, I quickly relaxed as all the staff were extremely friendly and kind. All the tests were performed swiftly and smoothly with every concern for my comfort and my understanding of the procedures involved. Mrs. Matthews explained my forthcoming cataract surgery clearly, comprehensively and reassuringly and I was very pleased to be offered the surgery I such a short space of time. All in all I couldn’t have wished for a better experience with North Wales Eye Specialist Centre.

Sarah is a super friendly and helpful physiotherapist. She designs my plan, demonstrating and then watching me do the exercises to ensure I am doing them correctly. She also determines the correct weight for each exercise which I would not have had any idea about. My lower back sciatic type pain is improving as is my strength. The MoveHealth App is excellent and I can log my progress there and see videos of each exercise to check between reviews I am doing them correctly. The location is perfect for me and each review session has been helpful for my progress. There is no pressure to have a review - only when it seems appropriate. Very happy and grateful for Sarah's expertise and guidance.

I have found both Mr Andrews, and his personal assistant Vikki, excellent. Mr Andrews has shown me a very caring attitude and always has time to listen and responds in a very respectful and professional manner. He goes out of his way to explain and support his medical opinion, and shows courtesy and compassion which I have found so helpful and quite honestly hugely appreciated in the medical profession. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend him, and I know that should I need any further assistance I will be in contact without a doubt. Mr Choksy very professional yet friendly and kind natured. He gave me his sincere opinions and offered a thorough explanation of the procedure and aftercare. My only criticism (not of Mr Choksy) of the process was I had to come in at 7:30 and yet my appointment was in the afternoon so a lot of waiting around NBM.

Only issue I would have is lack of patient parking at Mount Alvernia, and this is a particular issue when struggling with mobility!
