I was referred to Genesis by the NHS consultant oncologist to receive radiotherapy and hormone treatment for for my diagnosed advanced prostate cancer. I was seen very quickly at the Newmarket (Cambridge) branch of Genesis. The facilities are modern with state of the art CT and radiotherapy equipment. At all times the staff of all disciplines and specialties were extremely helpful and understanding. After 4 weeks (20 sessions) of radiotherapy my regular attendance finished. However I will continue to have regular reviews there with the oncologist and be given the specialist hormone therapy and other pills to be taken for 2 years. Another impressive feature at Genesis is the inclusion of gym sessions under personal guidance from two expert trainers. This is most helpful in countering the muscle loss resulting from hormone therapy. I am continuing with these sessions for some weeks after completing my treatment. In summary, Genesis Care has provided the highest possible standard of specialist cancer treatment and I would strongly recommend this organisation when radiotherapy treatment is needed.

This whole experience has been rubbish. One of the questions asked if I had ever had polyps, which I had but 15 years ago, and because I clicked yes, recommended me as not suitable for screening...a lot can happen in 15 years, and it didn't ask me how long ago it was. The form was clunky to use and complete. In the results letter it said if I still wanted screening despite my results, to go to my results page. However when I went to that page it gave no options to select screening. It showed a Submit button on the results page, but would not let me proceed as I had not selected a service, however there were no services to select. The results letter gave me a link asking for feedback, either a quick survey or a detailed survey. When I clicked the detailed one it came up with an Error404 message. When I clicked the quick survey, it asked me questions about recent visits, were the staff friendly, was the practice clean etc, instead of asking any questions about my experience with the recent cancer screening survey...they were completely irrelevant.

Made typos on my medical documents several times regardless of me flagging they require updates Can’t schedule simple appointment times and check with people if they are available instead sending random meeting times which clash with my work On 3 occasions now I have tried to join a meeting to have no one there Even if I am having problems connecting and 2 mins late someone should be in the allocated slot waiting especially given the people you are meeting with are disabled All this titration has done is add extra stress to my life instead of helping anything I am now going through medication withdrawals because I have been unable to meet in my titration meetings regales of me flagging several times that these timings do not work with my work commitments and now I have extra stress and pressure on my life at an extremely stressful time Would not recommend this to anyone it’s taken me a whole year since my diagnosis to even get to this point and I am still being messed around

I had a treatment for an arthritic big toe at Gecko Fitness Clinic, using a product called Cingal under ultra sound guidance and I genuinely can’t believe the difference it has made. Before the treatment, pain and stiffness were really limiting what I could do, especially with sport. I’m currently away snowboarding, and the improvement has been incredible. Pain has been significantly reduced, movement feels much freer, and I’m able to enjoy the slopes without constantly worrying about my toe. It’s made a huge difference to both comfort and confidence. The team at Gecko Fitness Clinic were professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which made me feel very reassured. I would highly recommend both the clinic and the treatment to anyone struggling with arthritis or joint pain.

My foot pain started in early May and I saw a Tyneside Integrated Musculoskeletal Service physiotherapist who recommended I buy a metatarsal pad which I found reduced the pain. However, Mr Qasim, in late August, ridiculed the pad and said he would send me to a Musculoskeletal Dept at Freeman where they (a technician and a health care professional, HCP) would, he gave me to understand, provide a custom orthotic. They gave me a standard reinforced insole that increased the pain during the breaking in period. By the time I saw them in mid-November, my straight second toe had become bent and resulted in a different difficulty in walking, and (likely as a result of this bend in the first toe joint, according to the HCP, a podiatrist) the metatarsal pain had largely subsided but I was left with an altered gait.

Mr Ben Yates is in my opinion an excellent podiatric surgeon who gives a very good clinical opinion. I was unhappy that Mr Yates charged me for a “new patient” appointment when this was in fact a follow up appointment lasting about 12 minutes following previous surgery by Mr Yates. Furthermore, I did not receive a clinic letter from Mr Yates until I chased it up more than 2 weeks after my appointment. I received no apology for the delay in sending the letter. Mr Yate’s clinical letter did not contain all the information promised at the consultation and I was obliged to chase this information again. I emailed Mr Ben Yates to raise my concerns but I did not receive a reply from him.

I’d felt very lost before coming to the Fertility Suite with the frustration of not understanding why we weren’t conceiving with our second child and also experiencing loss. The fertility suite was amazing. I have Jen for my treatments who is so wonderful. I’m feeling such a massive difference both physically and emotionally since I started treatment and it turns out I have a thyroid issue which may be the cause of everything. It was Jen who noticed the signs and pushed for me to have it checked. Thank you to the fertility suite for holding my hand through all of this and for your advocacy. I had a day procedure at the Lindo Wing and the experience was excellent. The doctors and nurses were incredibly supportive, professional, and kind, which made a stressful situation much easier to cope with. The entire process, from arranging the initial consultation to scheduling the procedure, was handled very efficiently, with minimal waiting time. The medical staff took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure I felt comfortable and well cared for throughout the day. The environment was calm, clean, and reassuring, and I truly felt that I was in very safe hands. I am very grateful for the care and compassion shown by the whole team.

The staff at KIMS Hospital are truly amazing and incredibly friendly. Their professionalism and genuine compassion were unmatched by any experience I’ve had in NHS care. I felt supported, reassured, and well looked after from start to finish. Several people stood out during my stay: Amy in recovery, David, who prepared me for the epidural, Becky, my physio, and Mark, who handled my medication. My two nurses who cared for me around the clock were also outstanding — attentive, kind, and consistently reassuring. I honestly can’t fault any part of the care I received. I went at 11 weeks for a scan and for a NIPT test. The booking process was excellent, the members on the phone were so helpful and considerate. My appointment with Dr Desi was on time and extremely thorough. She was so compassionate, caring and kind throughout the appointment, explaining everything each step of the way and being extremely thorough through the scan and explaining our NIPT options. It’s the best consulting experience I’ve had throughout my pregnancy. Reception staff were extremely helpful too. I would really recommend LPC to any expecting couples. The staff was great. I was on the ground floor ward and was well taken care off. Members of staff were kind, courteous and helpful. I specifically note that staff members such as Sibo, Clementina, Clara and Ashy were very good and efficient and overall made my treatment a positive experience. My one to one therapist was excellent, in that Holly. I do however note that the food quality was inconsistent, at times the meals were good but there were times where things fell short as limited alternatives were available.
