I first saw Dr. Patel earlier this year because I had suddenly developed tinnitus. After an MRI came back clear, he diagnosed me with something he called “functional ear syndrome”, suggesting biological, psychological or social changes and vestibular migraine as the probable cause. A few months later, things deteriorated. I began experiencing severe dizziness alongside an amplified tinnitus, so I returned for a follow-up appointment. I explained that my symptoms were getting worse, but I was once again reassured it was “functional ear syndrome” and was told that CBT might help. I left feeling as though my concerns weren’t being properly heard or investigated. Because my symptoms continued to escalate, I sought a second opinion. Further tests have now revealed that I actually have sudden sensorineural hearing loss (SSNHL), a condition that needs timely treatment. My hearing loss is mild to moderate and I am currently undergoing steroid treatment to try to preserve my hearing - a situation that might have been avoided or at least addressed much earlier if my symptoms had been taken more seriously in the first place. This review reflects my personal experience only. I felt dismissed and overlooked at a time when I really needed a clear and thorough medical assessment and I hope that by sharing this, others with similar symptoms are encouraged to advocate for themselves and seek additional input if something doesn’t feel right.

I endured a horrific accident about 10 years ago when I fell (I believe due to a drink being spiked) and fractured two of my front teeth, one so badly that I had to have root canal work done and a crown fitted, I was devastated to learn that the root canal had failed and had caused an infection which would require further and costly dental work. The staff at Vermilion couldn't have done any better in how they treated me throughout the course of treatment which spanned 3 months. Dr Treagus in particular, must be highly commended, as despite his struggles in drilling through the crown (due to metalwork within the crown) to enable him to carry out the treatment, persevered and kept me informed at every stage, detailing worst case scenarios and explaining very directly what my options were. He and his colleagues managed to create a calm, and at times humorous environment which really helped to take my mind off the seriousness of what needed to be done and what could go wrong. I highly recommend the practice for their professionalism, and sheer determination to achieve a good outcome for me.

I recently attended a Preconception Appointment with Mr. Adam Jakes at the clinic. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm welcome from Gemma at reception and Mashal kindly assisted with my pre-appointment obs. The clinic itself is immaculate, modern, and beautifully presented. During the consultation, Dr Adam took the time to thoroughly review my medical history and discuss plans for baby number two. We spoke in detail about my Type 1 diabetes, its potential impact on a future pregnancy, and strategies to optimise blood sugar control beforehand. The appointment never felt rushed; Dr Adam provided clear guidance and even highlighted the progress I’ve made, which was a reassuring confidence boost. I would highly recommend Dr Adam, especially for anyone managing a medical condition. The experience was seamless, and I received comprehensive follow-up notes within just a couple of days.

I cannot recommend Erin Lahay highly enough. Over the past three months, she has helped me immensely with both shoulder and lower back pain. What sets Erin apart is her holistic approach. Due to my individual circumstances there was some confusion in relation to payment and that spilled over onto me personally as well as causing stress across the whole procedure at the outset. This was resolved but exposes the fact that some attention needs to be paid to the way things are looked at and handles when the circumstances fall outside of the general conventions of the service provided. In the end it was all sorted out but the initial confusion and stress could have been avoided. I have no complaints but was a bit surprised at the apparent chaos at the outset. I have no idea if any one aspect was to blame, I think it was probably general confusion in relation to gaps in communication between the parties involved in payment etc.

I recently took my 3-year-old to Kidswell when he was feeling unwell, and we had an excellent experience from start to finish. We were able to get a same-day appointment, which was excellent. The reception staff were warm, welcoming, and very helpful. The facilities are clearly designed with kids and their parents in mind—bright, comfortable, and reassuring. The doctor who saw us was efficient, thorough, and great with my son, taking the time to make sure we understood everything. The rooms were spotless and well-organized, which added to the sense of calm during a stressful moment. Overall, a very positive and reassuring experience. Highly recommend this clinic for anyone seeking quality care for their children

I was referred to Mr Vatish recently due to being diagnosed with breast cancer. I had asked to be transferred from another hospital where I had been given little or no options about what surgery I could have and was feeling extremely disheartened and despondent as a result. I am eternally grateful that I ended up under the care of this gifted and talented surgeon. He performed a Goldilocks mastectomy with reconstruction giving me symmetry, peace of mind and an end result I am delighted with. He was professional, kind and understanding making sure I understood exactly what was happening every step of the way. I am now cancer free thanks to Mr Vatish. I can never thank him enough.

Wonderful care from good staff but the bed was uncomfortable and the room was too small and felt airless and too hot. But the main thing is that hopefully this surgery will enable me to have a better quality of life. I already feel that my powers of concentration have improved and my brain is working better. It seems to me that once the soreness and itchy neck skin heals I will be back at the gym in January feeling thirty years younger. The hospital has done a good job and staff team are excellent. My only recommendation is that you knock the building down and build some more comfortable bedrooms with good ventilation with some comfortable beds for tall people.

I consulted Dr. Consigliere for a suspected labrum tear in my shoulder that had been causing chronic pain. The doctor was able to give me a very clear diagnostic, and clearly laid out options for treatment, without pushing immediately for surgery. I ended up having surgery with him, everything was great, well explained, with minimal pain, and am now well on track for recovery. I would highly recommend Dr. Consigliere for any shoulder-related issues. The doctor’s assistant is also very organized and responsive, the entire process was very well managed.

Consult over pain and lack of mobility - Mr Gordon performed an op for varicoceles recently at Spire hospital Leeds. Can't recommend him highly enough. Op was performed as a day case and we we were able to drive home (1.45 hours drive)without experiencing any pain. From being unable to walk 100 metres without experiencing severe pain before the op, I have my life back. It feels miraculous and I can enjoy a full social life, travel to work and a huge lift in my mental wellbeing. Can't praise enough and I will forever be grateful.

All staff, including the doctor we saw, we're very friendly, made us feel at ease, and the procedure appears to have been carried out smoothly. The only thing I'd fault is the communication before the appointment, particularly the emails. They include a misleading price, the suggestion that a follow-up would not be required (when we understand that is completely normal) and we'd understood that we could/should be in the room when the procedure was taking place, which was then quite strongly advised against.

Everything was explained clearly so I knew what to expect with the surgery and I am very happy with the results. Four weeks later, with the help of a little bit of makeup, no-one can tell what I've had done. Anyone who is undecided about seeing Dr Aslam, please just go ahead, you would be in very safe hands.

Mr. Konan is excellent and came to see me 3 tines when I had my hip replacement last year. He is kind, caring and very experienced in his field. His new practice manager needs to take a leaf out of his book as she is officious and it puts people off, hence my not giving 5 stars for overall experience. Thank you Mr. Konan for making such a grand job of my new hip.
