I’m writing this after having my 12-week scan yesterday, where we saw a very active little baby, something we once weren’t sure we would ever experience. After a very long IVF journey, including multiple operations due to severe endometriosis, we made the decision to switch clinics and come to Guys under Professor Khalaf’s care. He performed one final operation that resolved the recurring issue I had been facing, and now, incredibly, I’m 12 weeks pregnant. During a time when we were truly in the depths of our IVF journey, a process that can be gruelling, exhausting and emotionally overwhelming, he gave us hope when we needed it most. We will always be incredibly grateful. I cannot recommend Professor Khalaf highly enough. He is incredibly approachable, positive and reassuring, and he gave me such a boost at a time when I needed it most. I also appreciated that I didn’t have lots of unnecessary, expensive scans; everything felt focused and purposeful. He is extremely responsive and always available to answer any questions. His manner is not only professional but also warm, making you feel safe, supported and completely comfortable throughout the entire process. Thank you so much, Professor Khalaf.

She has that rare combination of being extremely kind and warm while remaining very professional and efficient. Dr Coker always presents in a professional yet approachable manner. She is very clear in explaining any tests results; her treatment plan; and any further investigations she thinks should be undertaken. The language she uses is accessible. She is receptive to answering any questions I might have. She promptly keeps my general practitioner informed of my current treatment, to ensure my medical care is managed holistically. She is an active listener and always allows me time to explain my current symptoms etc. In her professional manner, her approachability and her persistency in investigating my symptoms, I have confidence that I am in good hands.

Pretty straightforward experience overall. The receptionist on the first floor (the Somali lady wearing a hijab) was extremely kind and helpful. My phone was about to die and I asked if there was any chance of a charger- she went out of her way to help me, which I really appreciated. It’s the small things like that which leave a lasting impression, and that’s exactly why I wanted to leave this review. The only small suggestion I’d make is having oat milk available at the coffee machine for those who don’t have dairy, it would be a thoughtful and considerate touch.

I think Dr Perry is outstanding. He has been my neurologist for nine years. My case has evolved gradually and he has been there with the right level of information, diagnostic tests and treatment options at every step. He is well up on recent clinical science and brings that into the consultation in a way that is well calibrated and effective. I think he is a terrific doctor. His office has been terrifically responsive helping me coordinate treatment between different locations.
