Choosing Cleveland Clinic London for my endometriosis surgery was one of the most transformative decisions of my life. I arrived exhausted, scared, and carrying years of pain — and I left feeling safe, understood, and finally free. My surgeon, Dr Mohamed Mabrouk, is truly extraordinary. He is one of those rare doctors who combine world-class surgical skill with genuine compassion. What he achieved in the operating room still amazes me. Although I was originally diagnosed with milder endometriosis, once the surgery began it turned out to be stage 4 — something that often can only be discovered during laparoscopy, because deep infiltrating lesions simply cannot be seen on scans. This can happen “out of the blue,” and it did in my case. Yet even with this unexpected complexity, Dr Mabrouk removed every single trace of disease with exceptional precision: • My ovarian reserve was fully preserved. • None of my organs were damaged. • Not even a single blood vessel was touched. This level of surgical accuracy is incredibly rare for stage 4 cases. Many women lose organs or face complications, but he protected every part of my body. His steadiness, confidence, and expertise are on a completely different level. But beyond his skill, what touched me most was his kindness. He explained everything patiently, made me feel safe, and even called me personally after the surgery — including on weekends — just to check on me. He is a doctor with a huge heart. My anesthesiologist, Jeremy R. Prout, was equally exceptional — calm, reassuring, and so professional that I felt safe even in the most vulnerable moment before going under. The nursing team was unbelievable. They checked on me day and night, looked after my pain management, took tests, reassured me constantly, and treated me with so much warmth. They didn’t just do their job — they cared. After discharge, the nurses continued to support me over the phone, checking on my recovery and symptoms. They even provided me with all the medication I needed to take home, which made everything easier and much less stressful. The hospital itself felt peaceful, clean, luxurious — beautiful private rooms, delicious food available at any time, and a calm atmosphere that truly helps recovery. Now, one month after my complex robotic surgery, I can say something I never thought I would again: my physical and mental health is finally restored. I have no pain. I feel light and calm. My body feels healthy for the first time in years. My mind feels peaceful. Cleveland Clinic London, Dr Mohamed Mabrouk didn’t just treat my illness, he gave me my life back. I had two visits - a pre-surgical assessment and 3 days later I returned for breast cancer surgery with an overnight stay. I have a few hopefully constructive observations: There was no evidence that any information collected at the pre-op meeting was transferred to the team admitting me for my operation. The inefficiencies of this became laughable at times and is a waste of your precious resources and my time . Eg wanting to repeat mrsa tests and weight/height checks because they hadn’t checked their records from 3 days prior. I was told I couldn’t go down to surgery without a Pregnancy test. I had to be very firm that I had the right to refuse and was made to feel like I was being difficult when the truth was very different. The consultants stepped in to support my position and my right to self advocate. The number of different contact points with junior/assistant nursing staff during my 28hr stay was startling, I lost count. There was no continuity at all which led to more observations that necessary (literally 5mins apart because of a lack of communication) and at other times several hours without any contact at all I twice had to tell staff not to put blood pressure sleeve on the arm that just been operated on as they were clueless regarding the surgery I’d had. It’s a general ward so I accept there are no/fewer specialists (eg for breast cancer) but the lack of interest/knowledge was frustrating and in stark contrast to other private hospital experiences I’ve had during this journey. Minor point but there were no towels or toiletries in the en suite and the shower set up was totally impractical for post surgery washing (as the hand held show was missing). I was offered option to use en suite in another room - staff did their best to find a solution and my husband was able to support me.

I recently visited John Flynn Opticians for my 2-yearly eye exam. Dr Janjua is always incredibly thorough in the eye exam, explaining each step and answering all my questions with patience. He takes the time to discuss my prescription in detail and also the variety of lens options available such as anti-fatigue, blue light reduction and anti-glare. I work in the computing industry and having the right eyewear makes the difference between a good day and one where you’re severely tired at the end of it. Dr Janjua’s expertise and attention to detail makes sure you’re confident it will be a good day. Dr Janjua is also supported by an amazing team. Everybody is welcoming and professional, making the entire process seamless and comfortable. I only needed new lenses this time which will be fixed to my existing frames, but when new frames have been required they’ve helped me choose the perfect frames that not only suit my style, but also feel comfortable. What really stands out is the personalised care and attention I received. Dr Janjua and the team genuinely care about your eye health and it shows. I highly recommend Dr Janjua and the team to anyone in need of eye care.

Having hernia surgery is not something anyone looks forward to, but Mr Renwick and the team at Ross Hall Clinic and Hospital made the experience stress free. I was provided with clear information about the procedure, the various options for surgery and what to expect in terms of recovery times etc. My pre op assessment was extremely thorough and the operation itself was successful. I was able to return home on the same day and although I experienced some discomfort I only required two of the stronger painkillers I was prescribed and a few paracetamol during the first 48 hours. I opted for robotic assisted laparoscopic surgery for my bilateral inguinal hernia which Mr Renwick advised was likely to reduce my recovery time. My operation was exactly 6 weeks ago and I can say that I am now back to full health and ready to (gradually) get back to the gym.

I went to see Mr Otify after seeing another consultant, which had dismissed my symptoms as womb pain. I had been in pain for over 12 months, it was making life very hard and sometimes the pain was unbearable. Mr Otify did not dismiss my symptoms or my thoughts. He is very easy to talk to and listens. We quickly came up with a plan . I had surgery 5 weeks ago, total hysterectomy and removed endometriosis, although I am still recovering from surgery, the pain I was experiencing has now gone. I had my follow up appointment the other day, he explained everything he did during surgery and his findings. I would most certainly recommend going to see mr Otify , it was the best decision I made and I can not fault him as a person or as a surgeon.

RTN Mental Health - Private

The most stressful and frustrating part of using RTN services is the lack of communication and poor response times. I have used RTN both via the right to choose path and for a private assessment. You would expect the private service to be quicker and have better communication but this has not been my experience. It is impossible to get hold of anybody. I have sent multiple emails and left voicemail but there is no sense of urgency in responding and waiting times are long. You don't even receive an acknowledgement or holding email to manage expectations. Some very basic and easy changes could be made to make the customer experience so much better.

Received urgent call requesting blood test for tolerance to Dye. I Moved appointments for that afternoon to facilitate a flying visit. After arrival kept waiting for 35 minutes until I asked reception as was needed elsewhere and was told phlebotomist would be with me shortly. With Phlebotomist approx 3 minutes, total time 50 minutes and 50 miles traveled Then had to wait 9 days for scan which was only scheduled following chase-up from private GP. On presenting for CT Scan was told that they did not require blood test as procedure did not indicate use of dye. Most unimpressive communication and administration throughout

I no longer have loose skin and have a flat tummy (wearing size 8-10!). The opportunity to have two consultants operating in their expert fields meant I got the best results. It was a visit regarding my breathing issues as my nose is bent dr owa explained the reason I have issues and the 2 courses of action that can be taken also explained how to correctly apply spray. Dr owa also explained he wants me to have a ct scan and a nasel scope to fully evaluate the issue and take the best course of action. he was clear and was happy to answer my questions

I have nothing but the highest praise for Mr.Gill - he did both my knees (March and October 2025) both surgeries were completely successful and I have had very little pain - I am walking normally, able to shop, walk my dog and have a normal life again. My wounds healed quickly with no sign of infection and are just thin lines (still a bit pink but early days)
