At just 8 weeks post-surgery, I have exceeded all my recovery targets. I have already achieved 120 degrees of flexion and full extension. For the first time in 26 years, I feel truly stable, a feeling that is nothing short of life-changing. While I understand my recovery is ongoing, I am fully committed to the work ahead. I feel incredibly fortunate to have had such an expert surgeon give me back my independence. The care I have received from start to finish has been outstanding. I arrived circa 15min before my appointment time as requested and was greeted courteously by the reception staff before being lead to an examination room to undergo a basic check of my eyesight and health check/questionnaire. On retuning to the waiting area I was almost immediately greeted by Mr Bhargava. The consolation was just 5min after the appointment time, which is excellent. The consultation was thorough and very professional, Mr Bhargava has a very good manner and following questioning and examination explained all the parameters relevant to my condition. Mr Bhargava then went on to detail treatment and advice in a concise but detailed way covering all aspects very well. I left feeling that the visit was well worthwhile and that I had been treated well in all aspects of the consolation. I would have no hesitation in recommending Mr Bhargava to friends and colleagues.

It was OK. Sorry this system doesn't allow me to write why I went there and therefore wastes my time! I was there for a Pre op assessment. My Op is 9 Feb 2026 under Dr Panos Gikas. I asked him if I could attend this clinic as it is nearer where I live. The. appointment was alright. The only issue I had was that when it came to having a blood test, they insisted that I had to have 2 separate ones in each arm? I get blood tests regularly as I have a long term condition. The first one was relatively pain free which was performed by Isabella. The second was performed by Riggs(?) and was unneccessarily painful due to him holding down the needle when it was in my arm. I was not happy about that. I did not understand the reason for the second blood test, when one is usually fine and if more blood is required, then usually another vial is attached as necessary.

This is truly a very pleasant clinic. All staff put you at ease and treat you very well. I had an upper endoscopy performed by Dr Craig Mowat. He is a really patient, polite and conscientious professional man who listened to my concerns and talked me through them. He was very thorough and suggested how I could relive my symptoms mean time until my procedure, which was only a few weeks later. He explained exactly what would happen. The experience was very calm and I was put at ease. Dr Mowat told me of his findings immediately after the procedure and called me to discuss biopsy results a couple of weeks later. The whole experience was calm and quickly put my fears to rest. Thank you very much for lifting a huge weight off my mind - I can now get back to enjoying life!

Arrived 10 minutes before my xray appointment, was checked in straight away and told to sit and wait. The waiting area was empty, staff were all in one room talking about what generation they are (Gen X, Boomer etc). 40 minutes later I went and asked when I’ll be seen as I’ve paid £210 in order to be seen quickly vs going via NHS and the lady on the desk said she will find out. She came back and told me that they are just in a meeting and I will be seen soon. I arrived at 11:50 for a 12:00 appointment and wasn’t seen until 12:50. Absolutely ridiculous and will never go to again, wish I didn’t pay upon arrival as I would’ve walked out otherwise.

I always find the receptionists at The Holly difficult to deal with. The booking in experience is poor as one often has to wait for ages whilst the receptionists are on the phone or chatting or apparently doing something on their computers. It is a pity as the doctors and nurses and other staff including the porters at The Holly are extremely good. The receptionists in both the outpatients area and the scan receptionists need better training and better management. I would say however that the GP area receptionists and the front desk receptionists are very nice and very helpful so I have no issues with them.

From my initial enquiry about Refractive Lens Replacement surgery, through my surgery and aftercare I have had excellent care from Vision Scotland. Everything was clearly explained and the surgery has left me with the desired result, 20/20 vision with no glasses needed. The only (slight) negative difference here is a greater need for good light when reading at night or close work. The procedure was pain free and I have had no complications. I am looking forward to enjoying the results for (I hope) many years to come. Thank you to all staff involved with my care.

Due to a complication following a Trebeculectomy, I did have some anxiety as to whether or not I would have normal sight again. Dr. Zollet was always very professional answering my questions and taking the time to explain, in terms I could understand, what outcomes were possible and the treatment he proposed. I found him very reassuring and someone I could trust. The outcome of his treatment is that my sight has normalized and whilst my eye pressure was unduly high it is hoped it will reduce over the coming weeks

Came for a pre op, lovely staff and lovely pre op Nurse, however I was sent for bloods, I wasn’t asked if a trainee could take them, she tried twice which was painful, before the nurse then took them on the third go in my other arm. Totally understand the need for training however, I had made it known that I hated needles and was not a good person to practice on, I unfortunately got up feeling very dizzy and sick, which for me was unnecessary.

My experiences at the Lister hospital were generally positive. The facilities are clean and modern. The wait time was variable but generally ok. There wasn't much continuity in the nursing and sonography staff I saw which is a shame, and the quality was variable, but in general most of my experiences were with skilled and knowledgeable staff. On a few occasions I wasn't entirely confident in the nurse or sonographer treating me.

I was asked to carry out a flow test which involved the intake of fluids/water to check the urine flow and how much urine was left in my bladder. I also had a brief talk to confirm how happy I was with my treatment and recovery of my prostate, and if I had any further concerns which I wanted to raise, to which I confirmed I had none and was happy with his team and my positive recovery.

Miss Kumari was very thorough and detailed when it came to my surgery, as someone who has bad white coat syndrome she made me feel at ease and always pushed for me to be able to complete my surgery and have faith in myself!
