I had my varicose vein scan with Louis and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the start, he made me feel relaxed, comfortable, and confident that I was being properly looked after. Louis explained everything in a really easy-to-understand way and talked me through the scan as it was happening, which helped put me completely at ease. The ultrasound was very thorough, and it was clear he really knows what he’s doing, nothing felt rushed, and he took his time to check everything properly. What I appreciated most was how calm and reassuring Louis was throughout the appointment. He made sure I understood what was going on, what the scan showed, and what the next steps might be, without using complicated medical language or making it feel overwhelming. The whole appointment felt professional but friendly, and I left feeling informed, reassured, and confident in the advice I was given. Whilst going through the trauma of a small kidney stone lodged in my ureter, and with a stent in place from the NHS, my first consultation with Professor Turney was incredibly reassuring. He explained clearly what the next steps on the road to recovery would look like and following our discussion, immediately arranging an appointment for an ureteroscopy . Although the final operation date depended on the consultant’s workload—and therefore was not as soon as I initially hoped—the process felt well managed and transparent throughout. The information and guidance Professor Turney provided before, during, and after the procedure were exceptional, as was the support of his wider team. The operation itself, along with the subsequent stent removal, went smoothly and was a complete success. After nearly eight weeks of discomfort and pain, the care and expertise of Professor Turney were instrumental in restoring my well‑being, leaving me genuinely grateful for such a positive outcome.

Nurse Lucy told me not to worry; she was right! Dr Daneshmend is likewise excellent at understanding, and has furnished me with thoughtful, cogent arguments - helpful when facing doctors not so well versed in the peculiarities of my condition. - as to why my treatment is as it is.

The staff at Cathedral Clinic were very professional and tried to make me comfortable. However the actual procedure was not an enjoyable experience. having anaesthetic injected into my eye was very traumatic and having gone through the procedure before and it not 100% and having to return for Laser. I so hope that my left eye will not have the same result. Overall I would recommend the clinic and staff to anyone who has to have the procedure done. Bernadette M.

Dr Rahman was a charming man who who put you at your ease and was very chatty and amusing with his assistant which was nice to listen to. The filling didn’t take long and I was soon out and able to eat and drink without having to wait!

Excellent consult. Unfriendly reception. Not particularly clean. The worst part the hospital didn’t order my medication. Said to my consultant we can get it tomorrow. He was down from Scotland. Only for the day. I was travelling to London. So he went and got it from another hospital. Next time I see him we won’t be coming there!

I needed to have several inoculations for travel to high risk areas. It is possible, but not cost-free, to get this done on the NHS with lots of planning, delays, and waiting for appointments. Or get them all done in one go, here, seamlessly, for a little more cost. Doctor, staff, practice, whole experience all first rate.

I was asked to arrive approximately 1.5 hours before the procedure with a full bladder, the latter of which was not necessary. It was a very long and uncomfortable waiting time and I would have brought a book should someone have told me this in advance. This was no reflection on Mr Alhasso though, who was excellent.
