I would like to raise a concern regarding my recent care for recurrent kidney stones. Firstly, I would like to highlight that Dr Fadi was excellent during my appointment. He explained the situation clearly and appeared genuinely committed to supporting his patients as much as possible. My complaint is not about his conduct, but about the overall approach to managing my condition. I am extremely concerned by the apparent lack of focus on prevention and follow-up for recurrent kidney stones. Several years ago, I passed a kidney stone and brought it to my urology appointment. I was told that no analysis would be done and that I could simply discard it. This was very disappointing, as analysing the stone could have identified the underlying cause and potentially helped prevent future episodes. Since then, I have continued to experience kidney stone episodes, yet there still appears to be no proactive plan to investigate why this keeps happening or how it can be prevented. Kidney stones are not a trivial issue; they can escalate rapidly and cause severe pain and complications. In this sense, they feel like a “time bomb”. I was also disappointed by the structure of my recent appointment. I requested time off work with the expectation that necessary tests or scans would be carried out on the same day. Instead, the appointment lasted less than ten minutes, and I am now required to wait again for a separate scan. This long and fragmented process adds unnecessary stress and delays diagnosis and management. I believe patients with recurrent kidney stones deserve a more preventative, joined-up approach, including stone analysis, timely investigations, and clear follow-up plans. I would appreciate clarification on why preventative measures are not routinely pursued and how my care can be improved going forward.

I chose Mr Hooman Sherafat after researching his field, posts held and reviews about him. I liked his special interest in both cataract and oculoplastics surgery. I enjoyed meeting him. He is one of those special people who is both utterly professional and relaxed and honest in himself. He is very kind and patient-centred and aware that sight is precious and trust in the Consultant key. His explanations were excellent, his answers to my questions thorough and patient, and he listened carefully to my preferences. Both cataracts were removed without a hint of pain and he filled me in as he carried out the procedure. My follow up visits with him were just as excellent as was the communication and organisation by his P.A., Dodo, a very kind, competent and understanding person. I would highly recommend.

The experience I had regarding the procedure was nothing short of excellent. All pre op discussions were clear and concise and with no pressure. Facts and previous experiences were mentioned to help me make an informed decision about my condition and how best to proceed. The procedure itself went as planned and Chris and the rest of the hospital staff were extremely professional throughout. Anything I asked for was dealt with promptly and efficiently. I never really felt at unease with anything even though the situation did involve a surgical procedure. Although I am only one day after surgery I am already feeling better and this is mainly due to the great care provided by Chris and the team.

My recent visit was for a crown fitting and work on the gums. I saw Dr Balawal . I have had a number of appointments with him. He explains what he is doing and, he takes care to ensure the patient is not experiencing any discomfort. I have always understood, and been pleased with, his treatment. He presents as a very competent, conscientious dentist. The reception staff are all polite, helpful and friendly. I am so pleased that I contacted Quality Dental. I have taken out a dental plan and will continue to attend this surgery. I don't know what the other dentists in the practice are like, but I can certainly recommend Dr Balawal.

I really appreciated being able to get a quick appointment and having my scan done by a doctor radiologist who could then explain what he saw and give me some advice. The scan was done quickly and it allowed me to promptly get the scan done for my GP. I was super pleased that the report arrived quickly, it was there in my emails before I even got home! There was a chaperone there too, the clinic was nice and the receptionist was very warm and friendly and efficient. All in all a great discovery for me as I felt the prices were very reasonable for private scans so I could use the service for regular health checks..

I have used Avenues for a cycle of IVF/ICSi, a hysteroscopy and then FET. I was under the care of De Ali Al Chami and became pregnant with the first transfer, having 3 failed attempts elsewhere. Dr Al Chami changed my protocol (both stimulation and transfer protocol). This places is miles apart because it guarantees continuity of care and patients are treated as people. dr Ali is a wonderful person and he cares about his patients. The midwives (Marina Christina Katie Fiona Emily Starvula) are all amazing and know each patient by name and treated me with warmth, dignity, compassion and professionalism.

It is a very comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. Each patient (and accompanying person) seemed to have a good interaction with the staff. There was a good discussion with Mr. Smith on the situation with respect to the eyes and possible treatments which may also need to be done elsewhere. He listened to my comments and questions and responded in a clear way. During the treatment care was taken to warn me of any possible pressure on the face, but Mr. Smith has a light touch so there was never any problem. All three treatments in 2025 were done very well.

Dr Nadine Skipp is extremely knowledgeable and skilled, but also very kind, and took the time to explain everything clearly. Everyone at AURA was friendly, professional, and welcoming.

Will has a great support team - very efficient and friendly. They try to find ways of working round your life (business trips and a last minute meeting in my case). The most helpful doctor I've seen - it's a sad indictment of the rest of the NHS that seeing a doctor who didn't try to gaslight me into going away made me so emotional. Mr Siddiqi is weird but wonderful - don't expect formal and stilted conversation - be prepared for seemingly random questions and swift changes of subject. But also be prepared to be listened to and understood
