Mr. James Crinnion is a Consultant Surgeon at the Royal London and Whipps Cross University hospitals with over 20 years' experience specialising in general, vascular and endocrine surgery. He has particular expertise in the minimal access treatment of varicose veins, laparoscopic and open hernia surgery, treatment of gall stones, thyroid and parathyroid surgery and all arterial surgery.
Mr. James Crinnion qualified from Leeds University Medical School in 1987 and trained in Leeds, Sheffield, and London. In 1998 he was awarded an MD thesis for vascular surgical research.
Mr. Crinnion continues his interest outside of his clinical work by dedicating time to surgical education and he has published extensively with many original articles and book chapters. He has been Chairman of the Court of Examiners of the Royal College of Surgeons, an invited member of Council of the Royal College of Surgeons and Chairman of the North Thames Training Committee for General surgery. He has also been the Trust clinical governance lead (2003-9) and Clinical Director for General Surgery for Bartshealth (2012-2016).

Mr Crinnion was great, he thoroughly explained each step from what he was seeing on the ultrasound, up until he made the diagnosis. He was very reassuring and I would highly recommend!

Mr Crinnion is an highly talented endocrine, vascular and general surgeon who is greatly appreciated by patients and colleagues for his high quality clinical outcomes, bedside manners and professionalism. I have long known him and over the years I have enjoyed a very reliable professional relationship, always receiving very positive feedback form patients. Mr Crinnion has been one of the pioneers in the UK to first introduce and develop minimally invasive laser surgery for Varicose veins. His expertise also include endocrine surgery, vascular and general surgery.
