Dr. David Crocker

Dr David Crocker is the Medical Director of Caledonian Psychiatry, the first service registered with Healthcare Improvement Scotland as an Independent Medical Agency (registration 03427). Dr Crocker is fully registered with the General Medical Council with a licence to practise (GMC 7411382) and is a Member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists (MRCPsych). After foundation training in Cornwall, including liaison psychiatry, he completed core psychiatry training in Edinburgh and has worked in adult psychiatry since 2018. In 2023 he chose to specialise in adult ADHD and autism alongside general adult psychiatry, and has since delivered over 5,000 clinical appointments across 578 patients. In his most recent independent patient feedback audit, using the validated CARE Measure, his mean score was 4.96 out of 5.0 across 61 responses, against a published normative median of 4.67. He practises as an Associate Specialist Psychiatrist and also welcomes patients seeking a private psychiatrist in Edinburgh.

For transparency: Dr Crocker is not on the GMC Specialist Register and does not use the title Consultant Psychiatrist. Rather than pursuing the consultant pathway, he has chosen to focus on direct clinical work and the conditions he assesses and treats every day.
