I am currently undergoing treatment at Bourn Hall. At every single step the members of staff have exhibited amazing customer service. Every single nurse, receptionist, doctor, anaesthetist, embryologist, pharmacist and everyone there has been respectful, kind, gentle, reassuring, calm and knowledgeable. In particular, Nurse Dawn at Cambridge has gone above and beyond to support me as an autistic patient. She has patiently answered all my questions, made adjustments for my comfort, and reassured me over and over again. She even popped my teddy from my bag onto my bed for me when I was recovering from general anaesthetic which was so touching and thoughtful. I am also particularly thankful to the embryologist team who also have found ways to adhere to my special requests. I'm also thankful to the anaesthetist who held my hand as I fell asleep under general anaesthetic because I was so frightened. I cannot fault our experience at Bourn Hall.

Mr David George

From start to finish Mr George was highly professional and an absolute gentleman. He actually listened to me where other consultants had failed to do so. He understood my pain and said I needed surgery. The day of my surgery Mr George explained everything to me before i was taken to theatre. After my surgery Mr George came to see me to explain what he had done and talk me through what I should and should not do. He also popped in to see me the day after surgery. I was seen by Mr George for a follow up appointment 5 weeks after my operation where again he explained what he had done and about my recovery. Mr George said he would contact me in 6 months to see how I was getting on. True to his word and at the exact time of my telephone appointment Mr George phoned to see how I was. I can not recommend Mr George highly enough. A truly wonderful man and surgeon !

Dr Chris Steadman

Dr Steadman provided outstanding care throughout my assessment and treatment. He took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, explained every test and result in a clear, reassuring way, and never made me feel rushed. His calm manner and expertise in cardiac imaging gave me great confidence that I was receiving the best possible evaluation of my heart health. From the initial consultation through to follow‑up, the whole process was extremely well organised and efficient, and communication with his team (including appointment booking and results) was excellent. Thanks to his thorough approach and clear advice, I now feel reassured and understand exactly how to manage my condition going forward. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Dr Steadman to anyone needing a cardiologist.

I arrived at 8.50 for a 9 am appointment. Was taken for a urine test which was irrelevant to why I was there and I never saw any results of. At 9.01 I saw the Dr arriving in the clinic. I was told she had a telephone appointment. At 9.15 I saw a patient leave her consulting room and was eventually seen. Despite having filled out the pre questionaire with my medication Dr Carulli couldn't find it but instead wanted to go through them. But then in her covering letter to my GP missed out significant ones like statins. Dr Carulli listed herself as a specialist in Osteoporosis but didn't seem to know a lot - at one point asking why there were two scores in my DEXA scan (one is the T score one is the z score a WEB MD search can tell you that...).

Dr Mathias Toth

I have been seeing Dr Toth for the past year - it was a follow up from a diagnosis of an autoimmune condition I received some years ago - his diagnosis. He is very thorough, extremely professional, very personable, considerate and understanding. My first visit to him was not long after my mother had died and I was upset and he was very understanding and gave me time to talk about it. He carried out a full blood screening (among other things) which highlighted areas which required attention. The money you spend on a consultation is very well spent, the timing of the consultations means that you have time with him to talk through results and why he considers what the next steps are that should be taken. I highly recommend him.

Mr Oliver Robert Blocker

Mr Blocker explained clearly the reason for my leg length discrepancy Unfortunately a skiing injury earlier in life has created the need for surgery Mr Blocker is a good communicator and inspires confidence I have done my best to stay active, I have worked hard at the physiotherapiy exercises and in the gym . When my hip became seriously painful I was very grateful that I was able to use PIFU to arrange an appointment and give consent at that appointment Surgery was scheduled soon after. Although I was discharged from hospital with stronger medication should I need it I have only taken paracetamol which I was able to reduce and finished taking on the 11th day after surgery

Mr Amer Raza

Obstetrician & Gynaecologist

Dr Amer Raza is an absolute gem. He is a very reputable, skilled endometriosis specialist, and his bedside manner is next to none. He is kind, caring, and is 100% patient-focused. We have seen many consultant specialists over the years, none to this calibre of skill, technology savy and patient care. He is the only consultant with single port robotic skill that I know of, believe me, I have done my research. He is competent, skilled, uses the latest technology and research for the benefit of his patients. A heartfelt thanks to Dr Raza and his lovely, competent and super-efficient secretary Sukhy who is also absolutely amazing.

The McIndoe Centre

My experience at the McIndoe centre was incredible. Throughout my surgery and stay the entire team were incredibly kind and caring. I was given plenty of reassurance prior to my surgery, everyone involved during my surgery was incredibly professional and the aftercare following my surgery was incredible. All of my nurses were incredibly kind and helpful and made the process so much easier. I had a great private room and bathroom, and the food was also great! Cannot recommend the McIndoe centre enough, they will be my first choice should I have any more procedures in future

Professor's manner is very reassuring and friendly, while explaining everything very clearly. Although there is no easy explanation, other than my age, to what is causing my problems, I did feel that it wouldn't necessarily all be downhill from now on, and that I could return if it became necessary. I arrived a little early but was seen by Toby almost immediately Toby greeted me in a very pleasing manner and after an initial examination removed wax from both ears without causing discomfort. He then carried out an examination of both hearing aids and informed me that they were both in good order. I was finished in a little under fifteen minutes and left delighted with the service.

Everything was fantastic - wasted 6 months since original NHS Xrays that weren't correct & delays getting referred from my doctor. However, - 5 mins after start of appointment with consultant - I was having more Xrays taken - then back to the consultant - thorough explanation & surgery date booked for 4 weeks time - very impressive

Consultation for msk issues. Warm and open consultant. Asked lots of questions to understand the symptoms, impacts on my wellbeing and possible causes. I was provided with an initial diagnosis and for added assurance refrerred for imaging. Managed to get an MRI in good time. The MRI appointment was efficient and professional.
