Name: Patricia H. H. Patient ID: xxxxxxx Consultant: Mr Graham Bailie On Monday 8 December 2025 I visitied No. 6 Lisburn Road to have my wound reviewed. I recently had a full hip replacement with a wound on my hip with approximately 10 staples. The wound was reveiwed and reported that it was mending very satisfactorily. The original dressing on the wound was 30cm x 10cm. When the nurse was finishing examining the wound, she replaced the dressing with a smaller one - 15.5cm x 8.5 cm. She Spent some time stretching the smaller dressing to get it to cover all the staples in the wound. That evening, I experienced great pain with my wound. When I touched it through my clothing, the skin was extremely tender. Eventually, I removed the dressing to find extensive bruising at either side of the wound. It appears, that by stretching the smaller dressing to cover the staples, the wound itself had become extremely aggravated and angry. I replaced the dressing with a larger dressing. Within a few hours, the pain had subsided. However, 4 days later, the bruising is still present. I cannot understand why the nurse chose to use a smaller dressing which obviously caused great discomfort/aggravation to the wound. Having made a great recovery since the operation, this was a major setback to such a successful recovery.

I’ve had several consultations with Dr MacPherson over the past 7 years as my knees have deteriorated due to osteoarthritis. This year, we tried cortisone with limited effect so he escalated my half knee replacements. Pre-op, operative and post operative were always on time, very clear and I was made fully aware of risks as well as the benefits. Having had right knee pain since 2018, I was immediately aware, post anaesthetic, that my right knee was ‘sorted’ and pain free - it is absolutely amazing. The left has improved greatly over the 5 weeks and they are both incredible. 5 weeks and 1 day after having 2 half replacements, I played 28 holes of golf with no issues at all and no drop in my own performance. I am astounded as is my Dr wife. I never dreamt my operation could be so successful and I put this totally down to my surgeon who told me and my wife, that the operation had gone very very well. I could not have asked for more from Mr Macpherson, absolutely World class.

As I am not a well person and a wheelchair user, the wait was longer due to my health and help to get out. The staff were very understanding around this. I found though, beyond reception the phone system was not the easiest due to the very short length of time given to leave your message, which for people who are disabled, so not the fastest just basic messages of name, number, DOB plus short message, it frequently cut off before you had finished. Beyond that, it was a pleasant experience as it was the least painful steroid injection I'd had to date and I did let the consultant know that. The staff were helpful and accommodating as a wheelchair user plus self employed PA we know we take up space, so not the easiest inside a small room. Thankfully I can still transfer which helps so I can fold the wheelchair up once on to the couch. The staff were very helpful around my safety doing so which is always really appreciated. Please thank them for me.

I had an acute pain in my right leg and had difficulty walking. Having had IDD treatment at Osteopath West before for sciatica I called and was given an appointment later that day. On arrival i was given a thorough examination and it was decided that I most likely had a pulled muscle as well as a nerve issue. I had some deep massage on my back and leg followed by an IDD session. The result today is that the pain is considerably better and i can now walk mush better than before. I am grateful for the prompt appointment and the service I received and would recommend Osteopath West to people in a similar position.

I had a combined ASD and ADHD assessment at Diverse Minds Clinic. The service exceeded my expectations, and I am very happy to recommend it. Extremely impressive level of care. My husband arrived for a scheduled appointment with our two daughters. The little one did not have an appointment, but had felt unwell during the night. The staff were able to see her and treat her immediately. She would otherwise have had a very difficult time of it, and we were incredibly grateful for their care and attention. Amazing staff (Daniela, Semi) and doctors!!! Doctor Liong Mee Hi was wonderful with our daughter, prescribing the right mix of things to help get her back on track immediately. Very impressive!

Every one I met at the Princess Grace Hospital was most pleasant and attentive from the reception staff to the nursing staff. All of the nurses I met from the initial welcome on the 5th floor on 19/11/25 to both Halima and Fernanda who looked after me during the night and day were all especially kind to me. there were many others but unfortunately I did not write down their names. I think it would be difficult to think of a better place to be a patient.

This is GP services as they should be. I booked on Sunday afternoon and had a good selection of appointments for Monday morning. I was seen on my appointment time. The fact that the appointments are 20 minutes long allows the GP time to be very thorough and explain in detail your condition. Over four visits this year, I have always seen the same GP, which builds the connection that the excessively busy NHS service no longer provides.

Everything happened as Mr Stephen Brearley said it would, which was excellent. One thing I would suggest is that male patients are made aware that bruising can result in discoloration of the penis, which was for me quite a surprise, but I wasn't concerned following the overall advice I was given on bruising.
