I had ALT phallo with Mr Nim Christopher and was admitted for 5 days post-op, and I cannot thank the nursing staff enough for the care I received. Every nurse I encountered was professional, compassionate, and genuinely attentive. They consistently checked on me, explained things clearly, responded quickly whenever I needed help, and treated me with kindness and respect at all times. Their reassurance and calm presence made a difficult hospital stay much more comfortable and less stressful. It’s clear they take great pride in their work and truly care about their patients. The morning Nurses Kate and Erisa were extremely wonderful even though at one point there were so many patients and only 2 of them to take care of all of us, they were encouraging and they set a positive tone for each day. The night shift nurses Mo and Aliesha were reassuring and kind and always present when things felt hardest. Of course ai cannot leave out Alina who was always caring and compassionate throughout my stay. Last but certainly not least I would like the thank Mr Nim for his excellent care and support and Dr Patil for the amazing anesthesia he delivered. They were all like family to me. I’m deeply grateful for everything they did for me. Your professionalism, kindness and dedication did not go unnoticed.

Dr John Philip O'Dwyer

I have had two appointments with Dr John O'Dwyer to date. On each occasion his compassionate, reassuring and attentive manner made me feel relaxed and heard - by listening carefully, asking perceptive questions to fully understand my situation, and by giving me ample time to think before I replied. In turn he responded to my questions with appropriate detail and language for me to fully appreciate the underlying causes of my symptoms. He had remembered me from my initial appointment so I could go straight into the second appointment without the need to recap previous information. Dr O’Dwyer sent his follow up letters in a timely manner which reflected an accurate, complete and articulate summary of our appointments; during the first visit I had asked him to document one of his specific statements, and he had remembered to do so. I have had many interactions with medically trained professionals through both my work as an auditor in clinical trials and of course as a patient, and it was refreshing to have been treated so well and provided with such high quality documentation.

Overall experience was poor. After initial consultation I had little or no contact with the hospital, any contact was initiated by myself. Clear lack of communication between departments. I had already paid for my procedure and waiting for a surgery slot. Surgery was scheduled for a Wednesday but received a call the Friday before basically saying if I didnt drive up that day and do a blood test, the operation couldn't go ahead. Luckily I was in a position where I could do that but imagine if I had kids, couldn't get out of work, had no car/transport. The list goes on. The actual surgery seems to have gone well. (1 week post op). But.... the whole experience was pretty poor, no, very poor. I'd have been upset if this was the NHS but this was a privately paid procedure and if it wasn't for the fact that I had already booked time off work, staff cover, kennels for my Cane Corso's (which wasn't cheap) I genuinely would have asked for my money back and gone somewhere else.

It is difficult to put into words the depth of my sincere gratitude to Goran Ahmed. He listened and heard my concerns. His professionalism and competence is unquestionably. He showed compassion and kindness throughout my diagnosis and treatment. I feel very blessed to have been in his care. And a big thank you to the wonderful Breast Care Team who were also very supportive, kind and caring. It was a wonderful moment when Goran was able to tell me I was cancer free and the best news I could have dared to hope for. I injured my back the week before Christmas — I could not even walk with the pain. I emailed Dr Swan over the weekend not expecting a response until Monday. I should’ve known from my previous experiences that he really cares about his patients and their outcomes so I was not surprised when he called me at home in the evening to discuss what I could do to immediately to relieve the spasm and a plan of next steps for investigations and treatment. I could not think of a safer pair of hands to be in when you are in severe pain and dealing with a spinal injury.

Spire Manchester Hospital is exceptional in every sense. The nursing staff who cared for our son were outstanding and made the entire experience feel calm and reassuring rather than clinical. In particular, Sarah was wonderful — attentive, warm, and highly professional, creating an environment that didn’t feel like a hospital at all. The standard of care throughout was exemplary, and this was without question the least stressful surgery experience we have had. We are extremely grateful to the nursing team.

I have struggled with trigger finger in both hands for a while. Mr. Jonathan Hobby has always given me the best advice and treatment. The most recent steroid injections have been a huge success. My middle fingers no longer lock when I'm carrying out daily tasks and the terrible pain in my left middle finger joint has disappeared. A huge relief and it's wonderful not to be in pain.

All staff are incredibly caring, supportive, and excellent in their roles. Despite the longer journey from Kent, I feel it is absolutely worth it to receive such outstanding care.

Great treatment for my sudden Dupuytrens following surgery on each wrist. I had improvement on my left hand three years ago and now the same with my right hand which was quite a bit worse.
