Mr Thomas Nicholas

Mr Thomas Nicholas is an experienced vascular surgeon based at Spire Cheshire Hospital, where he provides comprehensive care for a wide range of vascular conditions. With decades of clinical experience, he is known for his patient-focused approach and expertise in both the diagnosis and management of complex vascular problems.

He qualified with a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from Mangalore University in 1988, before completing a Master of Surgery in General Surgery in 1991. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons in 1996 and later achieved his FRCS in General Surgery with a vascular sub-specialty in 2002.

Mr Nicholas specialises in the treatment of varicose veins, offering a convenient one-stop clinic for assessment and management. His expertise also includes diabetic foot conditions, as well as the investigation of leg pain and swelling. Alongside his clinical work, he is actively involved in teaching, supporting both medical students and surgical trainees across two NHS trusts and is a member of both the British Medical Association and the Vascular Surgical Society. 

Outside of his professional life, he enjoys DIY, gardening, and spending time with his family.
