Mr Mark Jones

Mr Jones is a good surgeon with an excellent bedside manner. He explained everything explicitly.

I highly recommend seeing Mr Jones about your knees as his advice is fair, balanced to your needs and he is very understanding about any personal issues or concerns you have. The procedure I had was the injections in both my knees, called Arthrosamid, this has been life improving for me.

I was confident that I was given clear explanations, realistic expectations, and a future plan to enhance self aided recovery . The procedure was fast and although uncomfortable for a minute or two , was never painful. I was kept under observation for a while due to my history of anaphylaxis , but was up and around in 30 minutes, under Rebekah and Hannahs gentle guidance So thankful I chose the arthrosomid rather than partial knee replacements, already comfortable, no post op analgesia needed at home and walking upstairs with no pain, and very grateful suggested this would be a good option

When first arriving at the hospital I was greeted by a member of staff and escorted to the ward. This journey was pleasant and I was made to feel at ease. When arriving at the ward I was attended to by the nursing staff each of which acting in a very professional manner and helped ease my fears. I then met Mr. Jones who talked me through the whole procedure telling me what to expect and that all will be fine. I was then met by the anesthetist who had a very friendly manner and explained in detail what procedure I would be undertaking by him. I was then transferred to the outer room of the theatre where I was again met by friendly and professional theatre nurses who made me feel at ease. The post operation nursing staff made my stay totally comfortable under the circumstances and I cannot speak highly enough of their after care and friendly approach. I then met Mr. Jones again who assured me the operation went well and would see me again in around 6 weeks. The nursing staff fully explained my discharge details and together with the pharmacist talked me through my discharge medication.

Unfortunately I broke my wrist 3 weeks ago, so Mr.Jones was not able to view my problems with my hand, however has made a plan to see me again in 5 weeks and hopefully be able to operate to relieve my symptoms. All in very pleasant experience, looking forward to my next appointment
