Reassuring, competent, knowledgeable - Mr Young never rushed me and always made time to listen to and answer my questions. He was very reassuring before and after surgery, and has supported my recovery in every way possible.

From my first consultation with Mr Young I felt I was in safe hands. We had an honest and open conversation about my options and following on from an MRI (& X-rays) there was no doubt about the treatment I needed. I felt fully informed and well looked after by both Mr Young, his PA & all the team at KIMS. My TKR was middle of January and I have made a good recovery since then - fully supported by KIMS when needed & am so happy with the result that I am considering having the other knee done in due course. I consider Mr Young to be an excellent surgeon who genuinely is concerned with getting the best outcome for his patients as possible. His "bedside" manner is also excellent...sometimes surgeons can be off-hand or a little brusque. I never felt he was in a hurry and always had time for my questions and any concerns I had - which is very important to me. I cannot recommend him and his team highly enough. He was actually recommended to me by a friend who had had a similarly excellent experience.

I cannot express enough how grateful I am to Mr Young for his help in finally finding the root cause of the pain in my replacement knee after many years of suffering. I found him to be extremely approachable, a good listener (which is quite rare) and affable. Also a big thank you to his PA Tess.

I had a total knee replacement in the summer. Through out the period leading up to the operation and afterwards James was attentive and clearly explained the procedures, risks, benefits and my options. The operation was a success, and I am very grateful to James for carrying it out.
