As a someone who has never experienced detox/rehab, group therapy, meetings, psychiatric evaluation or support and with very little exposure to discussion or open dialogue about my addition or indeed addiction in general it would have been helpful to have a better introduction/orientation to the process, perimeters, etiquette etc. I full appreciate the variables and ambiguities in an environment such as this but even being aware of what they might be would have been helpful. I felt my length of stay and the detox treatment was minimised and at times mocked, invalidating my treatment, commitment and if I’m honest, my character. I felt ridiculous and vulnerable and two particular group sessions. I would never have mocked anyone else’s efforts or derided anyone on their multiple attempts at recovery but if I had I would have fully expected to be challenged for doing so - I didn’t feel there was anyone interested in challenging the negativity directed towards me and it left me feeling quite isolated and undermined.

Dr. Aaron Hughes

I am writing to share my feedback following my second appointment with Dr. Aaron Hughes. In an era where healthcare can often feel rushed and impersonal, Dr. Hughes is a remarkable exception. From the outset, he was friendly, approachable, and demonstrated a genuine interest in my wellbeing. I particularly appreciated that he remembered specific concerns from my previous visit, which immediately made me feel valued as an individual rather than just another appointment slot. Dr. Hughes is an incredibly patient practitioner who listens actively and takes all concerns seriously. During the examination, he was thorough and took the time to explain his diagnosis and treatment plan in detail. Most importantly, I left both appointments feeling genuinely cared for. He is truly one of the best health professionals I have encountered in a long time. I would also like to commend the rest of the staff at the dermatology department, who were equally friendly and helpful.

We are incredibly grateful to Mr Herzog for the outstanding care provided to our child during their scoliosis surgery. From our very first consultation, Mr Herzog was patient, knowledgeable, and took the time to clearly explain the procedure and answer all of our questions, which gave us great peace of mind. The surgery was extremely successful, and our child is recovering better than we ever hoped. The skill, precision, and compassion shown throughout the entire process made a very challenging experience much easier for our family. We truly felt that our child was in the best possible hands. She treated me extremely effectively for post-viral fatigue, acute asthma, long COVID, and mast cell activation syndrome, and her expertise across multiple fields of medicine is truly outstanding. From the very first appointment, she combined exceptional clinical knowledge with a delightful, warm and friendly bedside manner. She listens very carefully, takes concerns seriously and explains everything with clarity and patience, which is incredibly reassuring when dealing with complex conditions. I always felt heard, understood and confident in her care. Dr Cavill is an exceptional consultant, and I would strongly recommend her to anyone seeking thorough, compassionate and expert medical treatment.

I recently had a consultation with Dr Tan, and I was truly impressed by the level of care she provided. She showed exceptional compassion and empathy, listened carefully to every concern, and addressed each point thoroughly and individually. No question felt rushed or unwelcome. This review honestly doesn’t do justice to the standard of service we received. I left the appointment feeling completely reassured and confident that I was in the safest hands. Speaking with her felt like talking to someone I had known for years—she was patient and so attentive. Whenever something wasn’t clear, she took the time to explain it fully, even using drawings to help us understand. A service like that will never be forgotten, thank you so much!

I am extremely happy with Mr. Ho's professionalism and the results of my cataract procedures. Mr. Ho is an excellent communicator with a very calm (and calming) demeanor, and helped me decide on which lenses to opt for, what goals to aim for, and what to expect based on a variety of options. Throughout the procedures he communicated with me and made sure they were as stressless as possible. I now see better than I have seen in many years, and am able to read, work on my computer, and see long distance with no glasses. Thank you Mr. Ho!

Spire Harpenden Hospital

The only area for improvement is the check-in process - quite often there is a queue of people waiting at reception and the vehicle registration screen is separate to the check-in form, which isn't very efficient. The waiting area and exam rooms are clean and tidy, the staff is friendly and helpful. I prefer coming here despite it being a longer drive than my nearest private hospital because of the great experience I've had previously.

I would recommend nuffield health derby & Mr. Cockshott as a knee/hip surgeon ( i know he does those, guess other operations as well) All the staff I encountered where friendly & helpful. From surgeon & colleagues to pre op to all ward staff to rehab. I was sick and fainted the first night and all the ward staff where very attentive, kind & understanding.

ICU I was treated like an animal left under the cold AC in a cramped room, the ICU nurse was on her phone taking ages to come to help when you press the call bell. The nurse team is the worst I’ve experienced in my life I genuinely thought I was going to die in this hospital they don’t respect you ethically unsafe and keep you in prolonged pain for days

I have been seeing Lyanah for physio and she has been amazing! She is very clear about what exercises I need to do to help me at home. The physio treatment I have received has been outstanding. She also referred me to a specialist to help diagnose my problem which I have never had before! So I am very pleased with my sessions with Lyanah!
