I actually did not get to use the facilities in the private wing of Charing Cross Hospital, as I was seen in neurophysiology on level three of the NHS departments. The only time I had to go up to the 15th floor was to get two forms, stamped and provide my pre-authorisation number that meant getting in a crowded lift and riding up to the 15th floor, which took a very long time as the lift stopped on nearly every floor. Then I had to go back down to level three for tests. It was actually quite stressful for someone with my health conditions to do this, and to be expected to do this administration as the patient!. The waiting area in the NHS department was not relaxing, it was very hot, no natural light was had limited/poor ventilation and the receptionist was quite rude. The medical staff were more polite. When I pay for private healthcare, I prefer to stay in the private department than in the crowded NHS areas. I gather on this occasion the tests were not available in the private wing, but perhaps another hospital where the consultant worked would’ve been able to accommodate. I was not informed that the tests would be in the NHS department.

I first attended Miss Satherley's clinic six months ago. With a family history of breast cancer, I was left feeling very concerned when my GP sent me for investigation. I am so grateful to have found Miss Satherley. She has managed to calm the deep seated fear I have regarding my family history and spent no end of time listening to my questions and worries, taking time to explain everything to me in such a clear and concise manner, and even took the time to teach me a self examination technique. To know I have Miss Satherley to turn to should I find anything I'm uncertain of has made no end of difference. I cannot recommend Miss Satherley enough to anyone who may find themselves in a similar situation to myself.

Once I arrived on the day of my surgery, the nurses were great in making sure I was fully prepared. The only questionable experience I had was that the physio who visited me before the surgery caused some confusion, as the exercises she showed me to do during the first three weeks were not what Prof. Field had said. Also it seemed odd that the physio visited me before the surgery, rather than after. Hence I ended up staying the night and saw Yannis, a different physio, the following morning, who was incredibly helpful. However, the experience overall was great, and Prof. Field and Dr Hussain, along with the day and night nurses, made me feel very comfortable and looked after me well.

My recent visit was for a crown fitting and work on the gums. I saw Dr Balawal . I have had a number of appointments with him. He explains what he is doing and, he takes care to ensure the patient is not experiencing any discomfort. I have always understood, and been pleased with, his treatment. He presents as a very competent, conscientious dentist. The reception staff are all polite, helpful and friendly. I am so pleased that I contacted Quality Dental. I have taken out a dental plan and will continue to attend this surgery. I don't know what the other dentists in the practice are like, but I can certainly recommend Dr Balawal.

From the start he was easy to talk to and I felt like he actually understood what I was struggling with. The sessions helped me make sense of what was going on, and I’ve genuinely noticed a difference in how I deal with stress and anxiety day to day. Things don’t spiral the way they used to, and I feel more steady and in control. I’m really grateful for the support and I’d recommend Dr Zach to anyone who’s struggling with anxiety.

Mr Macpherson was incredibly approachable and very helpful - my surgery was for a full hip replacement. He went over the options and the surgery was agreed. Mr Macpherson was particularly helpful when my surgery had to be postponed from the initial appointment date due to unfortunate and unconnected circumstances. Everything was explained very well to me and email communication was always prompt and informative. I can not praise MrRao highly enough. The second total hip replacement appears so far to have gone well. I felt very safe with him at all times and was informed what was most likely to happen and needed to be done. It sounded very complicated to me as a patient but Mr Rao has such an assuring and calming manner that I felt totally safe and had no doubt that this would be a success . I’m very happy to be pain free after a long time and would highly recommend him

Disappointed I had to wait 20 minutes for an appointment first thing in the morning, however everything else was positive. Waiting area and treatment room were both tidy and clean. Staff were friendly and professional. Some additional work required and dentist took me through options for treatment and resulting cost. Dental work was very good and pain free(!). Payment all completed to my satisfaction. Overall, a positive experience

All the staff at the Spire Hospital were helpful & nothing was too much trouble so that I felt listened to in terms of my needs & any fears I had. I felt reassured that I was in excellent hands when it came to pain relief particularly immediately post op & was encouraged to get out of bed as soon as I was able. The food was enjoyable & there was a good variety which certainly helped my recovery & my room was light & very clean.

I was self funded and Mr Shepherd took on my case for new hip - other private hospital had turned me away. The operation was done within six weeks as an epidural and all went well. I attended radiology on Tuesday for a scan with Amanda and Lizzy. Brilliant service, seen on time by radiographer, Amanda I think, who was very emphatic, friendly, knowledgeable and thorough. Both staff made me feel like I had their full attention at all times, and I didn’t feel at all rushed, despite them working to a schedule.
