Whilst time waiting to see Mr Khan was very quick , if I'd arrived any later I wouldn't have completed my check in and, I arrived more than the recommended 15 mins early more staff on reception required plus I don't think self checking in on tablets helps , whilst fine for me others clearly needed help.After seeing Mr Khan I needed follow up appointments for a scan and,blood/urine tests . Having waited at 1 reception for 15 minutes area to make an appointment for the tests to be brusquely told to go and make my scan appointment as it "Would save time" .When I'm 2 away from the desk don't think it was about saving my time.Then wait at the radiology department reception for another 15 minutes as only 1 person on reception, told they'll need to check with the radiologist and, would call me today as yet they haven't. Return to main outpatient reception to book tests and, amazingly I've now got 6 people in front of me ...finally get to the desk to be told can't do blood test as no one there to do them .Now had there been but because of time wasted there no longer was ? Not impressed by The Spire on this occasion, Mr Khan yes , but everything else no .

I met with my surgeon online. The online facility works extremely well. I noticed that I was sent two new reminders of the meeting on the day with direct links. I like this new approach very much. As always, the surgeon, Prof J Murphy, was prompt and conducted the consultancy with detailed feedback, including the sharing onscreen of a third party report which was extremely helpful and informative. Prof J Murphy has an extremely open, honest and clear approach to discussing aspects of the individual patient’s health that are not easy to discuss. This allows the patient to feel their case is being carefully monitored, considered and options, going forward are shared and discussed with them. This surgeon engenders great trust in his review of information, liaison with others specialists, communication, surgical treatment and overall management of the individual patient’s case.

I’d felt very lost before coming to the Fertility Suite with the frustration of not understanding why we weren’t conceiving with our second child and also experiencing loss. The fertility suite was amazing. I have Jen for my treatments who is so wonderful. I’m feeling such a massive difference both physically and emotionally since I started treatment and it turns out I have a thyroid issue which may be the cause of everything. It was Jen who noticed the signs and pushed for me to have it checked. Thank you to the fertility suite for holding my hand through all of this and for your advocacy. I wish more women knew about this, it fills such a gap in the fertility world.

On arrival the receptionist was really friendly. I checked my details then went for to see the consultant Mr Sherif (not sure on spelling) he was efficient and professional and his nurse was really friendly. Then the mammogram with a really lovely technician. She was friendly and gentle and told me what she was doing each and every step. Then a short wait of about 10 minutes and off to the ultrasound which was carried out by friendly and professional staff. Then my final stop back to see the consultant “the Sherif” ! Where he delivered the good news followed by some advice. What a super friendly and efficient service! Can’t fault it Xx
