Excellent care - Cannot fault how Ms Adams and Mr Parker and their teams looked after my mother before, during and after her operation. We paid personally for the operation (~£40k) but our experience with the billing and payments and the wider admin team is in a complete mess. We had to pay up front for everything prior to admission, which was ok, but unexpected (could have been better communicated to us, rather than a sentence lost in some paperwork), and fairly sure the insurance companies which they usually deal with wouldn't do this. One of the payments/billing team then visited my mother in her hospital bed, 4 days after a major abdominal surgery and started demanding more money verbally (to be paid that evening/the next day) with no paperwork/invoice/backup). Some things weren't done as part of the operation and the Consultant messaged us to say that it should be discounted, but no adjustment has been made. I have requested detailed backup on numerous occasions, and nothing has come through. A real shame that the medical and care team have been let down by the Cleveland back office on this occasion.

I endured a horrific accident about 10 years ago when I fell (I believe due to a drink being spiked) and fractured two of my front teeth, one so badly that I had to have root canal work done and a crown fitted, I was devastated to learn that the root canal had failed and had caused an infection which would require further and costly dental work. The staff at Vermilion couldn't have done any better in how they treated me throughout the course of treatment which spanned 3 months. Dr Treagus in particular, must be highly commended, as despite his struggles in drilling through the crown (due to metalwork within the crown) to enable him to carry out the treatment, persevered and kept me informed at every stage, detailing worst case scenarios and explaining very directly what my options were. He and his colleagues managed to create a calm, and at times humorous environment which really helped to take my mind off the seriousness of what needed to be done and what could go wrong. I highly recommend the practice for their professionalism, and sheer determination to achieve a good outcome for me.

Dr. Devarajan treated me for endometriosis, which included the removal of an ovarian cyst, fibroid, and endometriotic tumour. After years of suffering, she immediately put my mind at ease and arranged treatment within just 10 days of diagnosis. Four weeks post-surgery, I feel better than I have in years. Throughout the entire process, Dr. Devarajan showed genuine warmth and empathy, and she was always responsive to any questions I had after treatment. My only regret is not seeing her sooner. If I experience any issues in the future -or know someone facing similar problems-I will wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Devarajan. I stayed overnight at Spire, and the entire medical team there was excellent.

Our family has been patients of various members of the team at the Forbury Clinic for over 10 years. Something has changed in the past year, rather than feeling like you are listened to and being cared for it now feels much more like a business akin so a sausage factory. In and out the door as quickly as possible, barely space for questions and little to no bedside manner. It feels like profit over patients. The remainder of our appointment yesterday was in a stair well being led downstairs after being shunted from room to room. With a teenage that is appalling. They find it hard to ask questions in an environment like that.

The findings at surgery were explained fully and accompanied by photographs of the damage inside my knee joint. I have a clear plan forwards and know I can return should I have further questions. Everything was excellent. Staff were kind, friendly and efficient without exception. My only concern is that there does not seem to have been a good reason for the 14 week wait after referral. It seemed clear that Newmedica would have had capacity to complete the procedure sooner but apparently the NHS would not pay for this flexibility. My sight deteriorated in that time so that was a personal negative.

Her manner eased my anxiety and the experience wasn’t half as bad as what I thought it would be.
