Back in March I landed heavily on an astroturf pitch whilst trying to make a comeback as a hockey player at the age of 69, not so clever! This resulted in sciatica type pain in both legs, lower back pain, and car journeys of more than twenty minutes being extremely painful. I attended a well known local sports physio clinic who had sorted numerous other instances of “sporting excess” over years. Unfortunately this time there was no significant improvement after three months. Looking for an alternative approach I found Claudiu’ clinic on Facebook, and thought that his more modern methods might be the way forward where traditional manipulation and exercises had failed. It took a few visits for there to be significant improvement , but gradual improvement there was. It was then a case of two steps forward, one step back, until after about three months the pain when driving had largely subsided, and life had settled at it’s “new normal”. Now with a 70 year old body , I am again in the gym three or four times a week, spinning, doing pilates and yoga, and now boxing…it’s never too late to find a new way to hurt yourself:-). Seriously Claudia has got my body working again, and I am thankful I found his clinic. I will have hesitation in using it again in the future.

I cannot recommend Mr Ravi Ray highly enough. After suffering a pectoralis major rupture, I was understandably anxious about the surgery and recovery, particularly as training has been a huge part of my life for over 20 years. From our very first consultation, Mr Ray was exceptional. His knowledge of the injury, the surgical procedure, and the recovery process was incredibly comprehensive. What really stood out was his honesty in setting realistic timescales and expectations - he didn’t sugarcoat anything, but he filled me with confidence that he could successfully repair the damage and get me back to the gym. The surgery itself was a complete success, even though it proved trickier than anticipated due to the nature of the tear. Mr Ray’s skill and expertise were evident throughout. I’m now 6 weeks post-op and have just been given the green light to remove the sling and begin meaningful physical therapy - a milestone I’m thrilled to have reached. If you’re facing a similar injury, I wouldn’t hesitate to put your trust in Mr Ravi Ray. His combination of technical excellence, clear communication, and genuine care for his patients’ goals and wellbeing is second to none.

I arranged to see Mr Hall after my daughter was showing signs of tongue tie. I had her assessed by the IOW midwife specialist at 4 weeks and they informed me my daughter had no tie. After 7 more weeks of matters getting worse I was referred to Southampton by NHS but when I found out the waiting time I booked myself in to see Mr Hall who could see me within 3days of my initial contact! A tongue tie was located and procedure performed there and then. With minimal distress with my daughter and I. There was immediate feeding benefits and physically seeing my daughter move and use her tongue better. Hopefully this is a road back to breastfeeding full time without the need to keep pumping. I wish I had followed my instincts and made enquires to book sooner. All health visitors should have his details to pass on!

The staff were lovely, so kind and understanding which has been thoroughly appreciated. However, some frustration noted around wait times. While it is appreciated that diagnostics are a lengthy process and take time, I found issues where my assessments were delayed due to Skylight not having all the information from the forms I had already completed, and after submitting my forms I was not told that all of the information had not been received until I reached out and chased my application due to the time frames I was given being overdue. To improve this experience, more communication on what has and hasn’t been received would improve the experience and shorten some people’s wait times, as my wait time was partially increased due to lack of communication over forms I had or hadn’t filled in.

His actionable balanced guidance was easy to understand; including steps for diagnosis, potential treatable actions that may be required; including on how best to manage my symptoms with a holistic approach and being proactive. Prof Tony Kochhar grasped my future needs as I am proactive rather than reactive person and he focused on solutions with me to make positive changes. He is also in tune with ethnicity and linked with possible causation on musclo- skeletal problems. For this I’m very grateful. I’m very impressed and I definitely recommend Prof Tony Kochhar for any one who suffers with shoulder issues or any musculoskeletal-skeletal problems.

On the day of the operation Mr Gurjar took time to come and see me to check I was ok and explaining what was going to happen before, during and after the operation. Following on from the operation I had my follow on appointment after 6 weeks again Mr Gurjar made me feel very welcome, asking how I had been and checking the area where my operation. Mr Gurjar is very professional but also has a compassionate side, he has a good way with people. I am very glad I chose Mr Gurjar as my surgeon.

Dr Shukla took the time during my consultation, which many other doctors haven't to date, to understand my concerns and provide invaluable advice. He carried out a thorough examination of my nose and ears and carried out a cleaning of my ears. He provided thorough verbal and written advice on the measures I can take to prevent flare ups and treatment I can undergo to stop long-term issues. This was practical advice that I hadn't received before and has drastically improved my quality of life.

The Spire has excellent facilities (car parking, waiting area, consulting rooms etc) and the reception staff are very attentive and helpful. The “formal check in” using an iPad is an unnecessary hurdle for patients to negotiate. The earlier system of just checking in with the receptionist was much better. My appointment with Dr. Balerdi was on time and a very useful session. Re. Dr. Balerdi himself, my very postive comments are in an earlier section.

Excellent bedside manner and was extremely attentive and eased any anxieties I had. I walked up 12 floors as there were no lifts available.Only 14% capacity.I got to the Thames view suite via the cardiac lift because a cardiac unit staff member took pity on me and put me into lift 14 to complete my Access Path to the private patients unit. What on earth is going on and why does the lift maintenance contract not have a 50% minimum functionality profile as a term for service?

Amazing staff, they went above and beyond to help me when I needed it the most. The doctor was amazing but also the receptionist, she put me at ease when I arrived flustered because I was late. I was expecting them to say they could not see me, but they really helped me even though it was after the start of my appointment. Highly recommended.
