First Class service from Mr Evans ; gave great feeling of confidence and thoroughness. Sadly on my informing Mr Evans of bi-ventricular pacemaker ;? Brought everything to a close; as the hospital will not now countenance surgery when pacemaker installed:- Greatly saddened by this - as not only will be a different surgeon; but great inconvenience as will Now have to travel over 60 miles to southern Manchester. Although once informed of medical reason; due to bi-ventricular pacemaker and such capability if some difficulty occurred - much greater requirement for increased equipment to monitor pacemaker and in the unlikely event of any difficulty ; far far higher capability of medical Intervention. Sadly now to go to Alexandra hospital at Cheadle.,and of course a different surgeon; sadly. david t ;

I was made to wait 6 months for my cataract operations because I had a cardioversion. This is a short sedation rather than a general anaesthetic. I have been given no clinical explanations for this. I am in perfect health despite my age. I understand that a normal waiting time at other hospitals is 6 weeks with good recovery after a major operation. I suspect there are no clinical reasons, just a bureaucratic hesitation to take the slightest risk. I wonder how many patients discover that “Well soon” should be retitled “Well sometime”. Your bureaucratic incompetence is illustrated by your list of specialists which does not include the name of my surgeon, your lead ophthalmologist Dr Marzena Raszewska. It is her recorded ability that persuaded me to wait the 6 months rather than seek an alternative.

I recently had a consultation with Dr Tan, and I was truly impressed by the level of care she provided. She showed exceptional compassion and empathy, listened carefully to every concern, and addressed each point thoroughly and individually. No question felt rushed or unwelcome. This review honestly doesn’t do justice to the standard of service we received. I left the appointment feeling completely reassured and confident that I was in the safest hands. Speaking with her felt like talking to someone I had known for years—she was patient and so attentive. Whenever something wasn’t clear, she took the time to explain it fully, even using drawings to help us understand. A service like that will never be forgotten, thank you so much!

Steve is excellent. Personable and very professional and clearly knows his stuff. He operated on our son following a shoulder dislocation playing rugby. Throughout the process, Steve was clear with the surgical options and very thorough in his explanations, particularly understanding with the emotions of a teenager and his desperation to be back on the pitch again. He has a friendly manner and was always quick to answer extra questions we had between consultations. He did an excellent surgical job on our son and we’d have no hesitation in recommending him. I was not disappointed, Dr Jarvis was friendly, professional and explained everything throughout my two visits including a procedure. Im pleased to say my issue was resolved and I was reassured if the problem did persist or return to make contact. Again friendly, professional and very reassuring, overall I was very pleased with the service and his assistant Victoria was also very helpful and professional along the way.

My surgery took place there and had to stay overnight due to vertigo and dizziness. The hospital was friendly, new and pristine. The nursing staff outstanding as well as of course the medical team. I had dinner and breakfast and it was also healthy and delicious. Yesterday I returned to have the dressing removed and it was equally good. If any criticism would be to the pharmacy with a 30minute wait to get my prescription and also despite being a Bupa hospital not having the availity to charge Bupa for medication- I am under Bupa Global and in other Bupa hospitals this is the case.

I was seen on time and the waiting time was short which is always a bonus! I was attending a follow-up appointment for my toenail that had been removed several weeks previously by Mr Nanavati. My toenail was checked for signs of infection and reassurance was given that everything was healing well and as expected. The overall experience was very positive, especially given that the issues with my toenail were prolonged, prior to first visiting Mr Nanavati. All signs of infection have now cleared and I am able to walk pain free.

It was so reassuring to be certain I was seeing an actual medically qualified person (uncertain in todays NHS) whose judgement therefore I felt I could trust. Dr Ridout was very understanding and approachable - an attentive listener, carried out an objective examination and was happy to discuss it together with why she was suggesting the proposed treatment plan. I would definitely recommend this Practice.

Mr Jones was kind, genial, professional and as gentle as he could be with the procedure. He chatted to me during the procedure , telling me about the scan that was showing the fluid on/ around my knee and was happy to answer my question about what the fluid was that he was removing etc. He told me that I’d get a call from him in a few months time to check how I’m getting on rather than a face to face follow up. What an excellent man !

I was very apprehensive about this visit with my three-year-old, but I needn’t have been: this is a light, bright clinic which put both me and my child at ease. Further to this, the appointment itself was just the opposite of what one fears most when it comes to such things: it was personal and extremely non clinical.l; we were listened to and out at our ease by extremely knowledgeable, yet personable, professionals.

After failing to get an appointment with my GP, my Daughter made an appointment for me at WLC , within a couple of hours of phoning I was seen by the lovely Dr. York. She identified me having a chest infection, and reduced power in my lungs . Collected prescription from chemist. At 82 , I think I would have ended up in hospital had it not seen this Doctor. Amazing service Now a day later feeling much better. 😎
