I booked my appointment directly with Parkside Hospital, Wimbledon, so I didn't attend the London Heart Clinic nor any HCA premises, so my comments relate entirely to Parkside Hospital. 1 - Booking the appointment was a welcoming experience, Tanya was friendly, polite, courteous and easy to converse with. 2 - A follow up email was sent with the appointment details and patient information form which gave some scant details that would not in themselves form the basis of a contract imo. 3- On arrival for the appointment, I was asked to sign a form in 3 places. I was not given a copy of it nor given a chance to take it and read it in the waiting area, I was just asked to sign it, without it being read. 4 - on the basis that this document is in fact a contractual document setting out terms and conditions, which I didn't get to read, this is very poor practice, and could be challengeable. I also have no idea whether it made any reference to 'consent' within it. 5 - I was not handed a copy of the form before or after signing, and the form, with my signatures, has not been emailed to me subsequently, and it is now 2 days after the appointment. 6 - I arrived early for my appointment in the hope that I might be seen earlier than planned, but in the event, I was actually taken in for my appointment 25 minutes after my appointment time, but on the other hand, I had some 50 minutes, so I might have delayed someone else or made Dr Hinton late on leaving. Having said that, he didn't rush me at all, and I am very grateful for this. 7 - Dr Hinton himself was a pleasure to consult with. He made me feel at ease, and he enabled me to feel validated, and heard. He was kind and supportive and I felt I had found someone I could trust. Trust is a super important factor to me, as I've had so many bad experiences in the past. 8 - Dr Hinton grasped matters quickly and set out a case management plan, and dictated his letter to my GP in my presence, for which I am grateful. The only issue I have with that is, that I would rather the NHS GP is not involved, as I have no faith in NHS medical services right now, and I would wish to refer the letter to my health insurers, but am not sure how this will be done, and particularly so, if I am reluctant to speak with my NHS GP? I'm hoping that I will also be furnished with a letter that I can produce to my health insurers, so as to get authorisation for a scan plus it's super important that the letter has been sent to the right GP practice, and I hope it has. I did amend this quickly on the form. This has left a bit of a grey area for me, and I don't know if it was mentioned on the form that I was asked to sign without being able to read through it or be furnished with a copy so I could read it whilst waiting and ask for any amendments? 9 - Parkside is easy to access but it's looking a bit shabby in the outpatients area from my perspective, and the staff look a bit unkempt. My aunt was awarded an MBE for her services to nursing nearly 40 years ago, sadly, she is no longer with us, but she was a stickler for her staff having pristine uniforms, admittedly in the days when nurses wore hats and cuffs, proper uniforms, and butterfly belts, but she was always immaculately turned out and took a pride in her appearance, as well as her work. I often think that today, it begs a question about infection control, or moreover, the lack of it. 10 - it would have been nice to have someone volunteering to work the drinks machine. Older people are afraid to ask but are often dehydrated when waiting, and as we age, technology becomes quite challenging, even a drinks machine!

I cannot thank Dr. Maria Kalkani, and her entire team enough for the extraordinary care they gave our child during what was one of the most stressful days we’ve had as parents. After our son suffered a fall and traumatically lost his front tooth, my husband and I were overwhelmed with worry. We weren’t just concerned about the immediate injury, but about the possible long-term effects on his adult teeth, his smile, and even his confidence and mental wellbeing. Seeing your child hurt and frightened is heartbreaking, and we walked into the clinic feeling anxious and unsure of what the future might look like. From the moment we arrived, everything changed. Dr. Kalkani’s professionalism, calm expertise, and genuine compassion were immediately reassuring. She took the time to explain every step clearly, answered our many (many!) questions with patience, and never once made us feel rushed or silly for asking. Her knowledge and confidence gave us complete trust that our child was in the very best hands. Her treatment coordinator, Jasmine, was equally incredible organized, kind, and so thoughtful in helping us navigate appointments and options during an emotional time. And Sydney, her nurse, was simply wonderful with our son —gentle, warm, and so reassuring. She treated him like he was family, which meant more to us than we can say. What stood out most was the level of care and humanity. They stayed late to make sure he was fully seen and that we understood every option available. No one hurried us out the door. Instead, they focused entirely on what was best for our child. They kept both my husband and me calm, grounded, and hopeful when we really needed it. The whole team showed such patience, kindness, and compassion not just clinical excellence, but true heart. It felt as though they cared for our son as if he were their own. We left feeling relieved, supported, and incredibly grateful. If you are looking for pediatric dental care where skill meets genuine love and dedication, I honestly cannot recommend Dr. Kalkani and her team more highly. The care they provide is immense and truly unmatched. Thank you for everything you did for our family. We will never forget it.

I have been under the care of Mr Muthuveloe for several years, and I cannot recommend him highly enough. From the very first appointment, he has always listened carefully, taken my symptoms seriously, and treated me with kindness and respect. He explains things clearly, never rushes appointments, and makes sure I fully understand my condition and treatment options. Managing long-term and complex health issues can be overwhelming, but having a consultant who is knowledgeable, compassionate, and genuinely invested in my care has made an enormous difference. I always feel supported and reassured after appointments. He is an exceptional clinician and a credit to his profession. I am extremely grateful to be under his care and would highly recommend him to anyone needing a urologist

Fantastic outcome. I am over the moon as I can now read without the need for glasses and not have to restrict my movements due to anxiety over night driving. I really didn't realise how much the cataract was impacting my life as the effects build gradually over a period of time. I was a little nervous going into surgery but the whole experience was very well and comfortably managed by the entire team. I can honestly say there was no pain. This along with the brilliant results after my first eye operation enabled me to actually look forward to having the 2nd eye done. If you are hesitating about your operation please don't, with my improved eyesight I now feel so much happier, lighter and am looking forward to the years ahead. I found Mr Will Poole incredibly helpful and precise with his explanations about my scan results and what needs to happen. Mr Will Poole was very personable and made me feel really positive about the upcoming surgery I will need, the elements to focus on before and after. I learnt absolutely loads from Mr Will Poole during my consultations. Being a younger person discussing hip replacements and other surgery in this area has been tough to deal with personally for me as im a young(ish) rugby player who keeps active and Mr Will Poole eased all of my apprehension and made me feel really comfortable throughout our discussions. I can absolutely recommend Mr Will Poole as a consultant to anyone who needs to discuss their hip and other surrounding issues.

Professor Malcolm Finlay

I first saw Professor Finlay as an NHS patient in January 2025 and one of the first things he said was that he could definitely improve my heart arrhythmia and improve my quality of life. He was right. He explained everything clearly without a lot of medical jargon and listened to my concerns. He is down to earth and doesn’t sugar coat things. He has seen me regularly for consultations and carried out another procedure when it became necessary. In these days where it’s sometimes difficult to trust people, I can honestly say that I trust Professor Finlay 100% to do the very best for me. I feel great and at 82 looking forward to travelling to Cairo next month.

I’ve been going to this practice for many years and sadly the staff turnover, both dentists, hygienists and reception staff has been high. Today I saw a hygienist for the second time, who remembered my last visit and what was discussed which was really nice. Silly I know, but I have not felt like I have had my “own” dentist/hygienist here ever. The building is under renovation and seems to have been for a long time. So the building looks unfinished but not unclean. Hopefully at my next visit in 6 months time it will be finished.

I had my right hip replaced in 2015 by Mr Shukla, this has made a huge difference to my life giving me my life back. Allowing me to continue with my daily life and exercise, cannot thank him enough. Now I need my knee replaced and would only go to Dr Shukla. He is very caring, explaining everything to me and listened to my questions, answering everything that I asked. I know that I am in safe hands with Dr Shukla, and would only want him to do my operation. Cannot thank him enough, brilliant surgeon.

Mr Amresh Singh

My appointment with Mr Singh was no different to my previous meetings with this excellent surgeon, every aspect was of the highest degree of professionalism. He outlined what had taken place in replacing my old hip with the new, analysed what progress I had made since the operation, and then answered any concerns I had over regaining full mobility and fitness during the past eleven weeks. I came away from the appointment in a better frame of mind and with realistic targets to aim for.

Incredibly long wait times, and very poor communication. Repeated requests for infiormation I've already given them and they kept changing which "portal" they wanted to use. The diagnoses for one condition came as an email, with no human touch, no next steps, no follow-up. Was just left to fend for myself. The diagnoses for the other condition was by video call, with a very disenterested practitioner who clearler didn't take on board the severity of my struggles.

I visited David recently to assess my foot following a complex lis franc injury. He was very professional, listened to me and I did not feel rushed. We agreed that I should try orthotics which hopefully will help with my walking. He also recommended footwear going forward. David emailed me the following day to check how my foot was and has kept in touch with various footwear recommendations. I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

Lovely helpful doctor, didn't feel rushed, was listened too. Only reason no 5 star was hard to get through to reception and the inconvenience of being sent a letter for telephone appointment instead of agreed face to face appointment and not being able to get through to reception until the 11th hour to confirm and endure we had the correct appointment. Hospital was clean and looked well kept and staff were very friendly and attentive.

I contacted Ben at the Skin Surgery in 2025 to get a papule removed. The service and professionalism were second to none! A follow up treatment was required, where I received laser treatment, this was painless and delivered great results! Ben makes you feel informed, listened to, and very relaxed during the procedure!
