When booking the consultation with Nick Panay, the earliest available date was 2 months in advance. I was required to pay the full £395 under pressure at time, being told that the consultation would be lost unless I paid by 5pm. My understanding that this appointment would be for specialist, in-depth input tailored to a complex clinical history. Given that context, I was disappointed that the consultation felt limited to a reiteration of guideline-based recommendations, with little opportunity to explore causation, individual nuance, or the specific questions I had prepared. At several points during the consultation, I felt that my questions were closed down rather than explored, and the overall tone felt more directive than supportive. Given my long and complex medical history, I had hoped for a more compassionate and collaborative approach. Instead, I left the consultation feeling unheard and dismissed, which was distressing. I had hoped for greater depth and collaborative discussion, particularly in light of the significant upfront cost. I was given no additional value beyond what I already knew and was told in any case, that I required a further consultation to finalise a treatment plan. I have been in contact with the practice and explained that the consultation did not meet the reasonable expectations set by the cost, structure, or positioning of this service. I appreciate that since, I have received a considered response from the Practice Manager and the consultation and fee are being reviewed.

Mr Steven Harsum

In Feb 2025,I had same day cataract surgery ( in 50 mins) ,with multi focal implants, at Shirley Oaks hospital. Both the surgeon and another colleague advised that there were no fundament problems with the outcome of the surgery. On 19th April Purley Specsavers advised that there was no stability at all with his left eye. After further refractions and other glasses-single lens and multi focal glasses- there was still no improvement in short distance vision and problems in driving at night time. On 20th October, Director of Specsavers, on 2/10/25 , advised that glasses could not improve beyond N8. I appointed Mr Harsum, 29/9/25, as an independent advisor and reports were written on 14/10/25 , 22/10/25 and 8/12/25. The reports concluded: still very significant astigmatism, despite a left Toric lens. Possible outcomes : refractive error, astigmatism, lens exchange or refund of costs. I am meeting Mr Harsum 8/1/26 to agree outcome required on the basis of NHS treatment . Mr Harsum has provided me with confidence that he has been able to potentially propose a lens refund solution and hence a return to 20/20 vision. I am very great full in having located his professional service, in S London.

I have been seeing Matthew for 10 years. He is always very professional and caring. I find the audio test a bit stressful but he always puts me at easy. He finds time to chat about what is going on in my life and how I am coping as my hearing loss is quite severe. I can only wear in the ear aids and when I said a year ago that I thought I could do with a bit more power Matthew suggested that the new AI Phonak aids might be best for me but that the in the ear version was not yet available and that it might be best for me to wait. As soon as the aid was available Matthew contacted me, he had the aid ready and spent time explaining how it worked. A month later I saw him again he listened to what I had to say about the new aid and how I coped in different circumstances. He made a number of minor adjustments based on what I told him. He offered further reviews if necessary if I needed any more adjustments and this could be done via the app, saving me having to travel into London. Matthew is extremely pleasant and I am very happy with my new aid.

I was quoted a five month wait with NHS at the Countess of Chester for a standard Ecardiogram.At Venturi Cardiology I was seen in two days. In terms of Cost Venturi were again a top performer. Whilst I cannot rate the quality of the report sent to my GP and a Cardiologist and myself completely baffled me (as you would expect)the overall service was top notch, and I would not hesitate to recommend them. My visit with Mrs Bulchandani was thorough and professional, and I felt well supported. Mrs Bulchandani was able to provide initial reassurance following a hands-on examination. An ultrasound carried out on the same day put my mind further at rest, and bloods taken during the appointment confirmed where I was on my menopausal journey. I can’t rate Mrs Bulchandani enough, and if I need to seek another appointment with a gynaecologist I wouldn't hesitate to see Mrs Bulchandani again. Thank you!

The overall experience was very good. The information beforehand was comprehensive and honest and everything went according to plan. The pain in my knee and leg immediately afterwards still took my breath away but, as Christopher Gooding said they would, things got better. The Nuffield nursing staff were kind and considerate while I was in and my two visits afterwards for taking the staples out and later seeing Mr Gooding were reassuring.

I thoroughly enjoyed staying in The Westminster Maternity Suite twice, after delivering my babies. The care, cleanliness, privacy, personal space and food are fantastic. I had really enjoyed staying there for the recovery after giving birth. The views of Big Ben both times were an amazing bonus for the night feeds of my newborn.

The consultation with the doctor was okay and she provided enough explanation. Although I expected to continue seeing the doctor, she explained that she couldn't see my mum because of her condition. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and the hospital environment was very clean.
