My problem was dealt with very satisfactorily and with good results
The consultation was punctual and friendly. Mr Avis explained the problem and the process involved very clearly. All in all very satisfactory.
My visit was at the one year anniversary of wrist replacement surgery. It included an x-ray.
This was my first foray into self-funded private health health care. I decided to approach the Basing Hand and Shoulder Clinic to see what it might be possible to do to improve the state of my right collarbone, which had been left with an unsightly protrusion of bone after being broken some years ago and not healing neatly. The clinic was very approachable and I was soon able to consult with Mr Avis. After obtaining diagnostic xrays and scans of the affected area I had a further consultation with Mr Avis. He helped me understand what might be a sensible course of action to improve the state of my malformed collarbone. It was also explained that this work could be carried out under the NHS, but I decided to proceed privately so that I could schedule the operation to suit myself. All aspects of my treatment, from initial consultation, through day surgery, aftercare and discharge consultation were handled entirely to my satisfaction. I would not hesitation to consult again with Mr Avis.
