I have worked as a consultant upper GI and general surgeon at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary since 2008, and in private practice at Spire Murrayfield hospital since 2013.

Before my consultant appointment I completed higher surgical training in the North East of England from 2002-2007 and a fellowship in Upper GI Surgery at Royal Adelaide Hospital, Australia 2007-2008.

My main clinical interests include specialist upper GI Surgery (Oesophago-gastric cancer, laparoscopic anti-reflux surgery, weight loss surgery including gastric bypass and sleeve gastrectomy) and general surgery including gallbladder surgery, hernia surgery (laparoscopic and open), and minor surgery.
