Pre operative consultation was clear, concise and reassuring. Procedure was carried out as planned and recovery was without any issues, a testimony to the quality of the care and professional
The consultation was informative, concise and further put my mind at ease regarding the procedure i had undergone.
It was great to see you , Mr Hughes. I appreciate your support and help from last few months. I was devastated and in so much pain but thanks to God I received care from you which was excellent. Everything were explained very well and made sure I understood everything. I treated as a special person which I appreciate it.
From the very first interview I had with Mr Hughes I was impressed by his direct and professional approach. He explained what my problem was and what needed to be done by him and his excellent team to rectify the problem. During my time in hospital I was kept well informed, as we're my wife and family. This was the case from start to finish, and also during the post operation review after approx 5 weeks.
Recently had my gallbladder removed by Michael Hughes. From the consultations to the procedure everything was handled with such great care and expertise. Definitely glad I chose Michael for my procedure.
I’ve recently underwent procedure with Dr Hughes, and overall the experience has been very positive. From the initial consultation and diagnostic, to the explanation of available treatments and corresponding risks, he made me confident to proceed with the surgery as he was knowledgeable of the condition. Given that I have other underlying, I was really happy that the surgery went well. Dr Hughes visited me early a day after surgery and have been re-assuring. I was released to home and have been recovering well going back to my daily routine in short span of time.
Great surgeon. He was always very receptive and attentive!
Mr Hughes has been an excellent doctor for me. He explained clearly my options for treatment, outlining risks and benefits of each option, and then supported me in a friendly and professional manner throughout the process. His surgery was effective, with minimal recovery time because he took care to minimise the side effects which I had suffered from surgery in the past. He also went beyond the requirements of his post in my post-operative care, telephoning me in his own time to ensure that I had made a comfortable transfer to home. As well as first class medical care, Mr Hughes was a pleasure to know. With a nice and always appropriate sense of humour, he lifted my spirits and made me feel comfortable at all times. There was none at all of the arrogance and pomposity which I’ve encountered from others consultants in the past.
Mr Michael Hughes is an exceptional consultant with outstanding surgical skills and excellent communication. I felt fully informed, supported and confident at every stage of my treatment. I am truly grateful for such high quality care and professionalism shown throughout.
I was under Dr Hughes care for abdominal surgery. I was extremely impressed with Dr Hughes professionalism, honesty and patience (I has a million questions). I like a doctor that 'listens' and Dr Hughes did this. I was very nervous prior to my surgery and Dr Hughes was reassuring, honest and practices a caring nature that's enables a sense of calm. Post surgery, I was informed of my surgery outcome and next steps for recovery. A truly confident, competent and respectful surgeon and of course individual.
An excellent colleague and communicator.
