I am writing to formally complain about misleading advertising by the clinic Skin55. Their website led me to believe that laser treatments were available at the clinic, and I booked a consultation directly with the clinic, not with any specific doctor. However, upon attending the appointment, I was informed that the clinic did not have the required laser equipment and that not all doctors at Skin55 perform laser treatments. This discrepancy meant that I paid an initial consultation fee of £300, only to then be told that I would need to be referred to another doctor within the same clinic who does provide laser treatments. This second consultation was then quoted at £380. This sequence of events highlights a lack of transparency and constitutes misleading advertising, resulting in unnecessary expenses and inconvenience. I believe that this matter warrants investigation to ensure that Skin55’s practices align with advertising and consumer-protection regulations. I am prepared to provide supporting documentation upon request

I have been receiving treatment following ACL reconstruction (with LET and meniscus repair), and I am genuinely impressed with the level of care and professionalism I have experienced. Lee consistently explains each exercise clearly, checks my progress carefully, and adjusts my programme so that I always feel safe but challenged. His encouragement and attention to detail have made a noticeable difference in my recovery and my confidence. During one of my session, Lee even took me to the gym and guided me through three leg machines, explaining how this next stage will help me progress. His support and reassurance that I’ll start seeing big improvements mean a lot to me. I truly appreciate the time, patience, and expertise he brings to every session. Couldn't fault the hospital at all. It is clean, and a very welcoming environment, but of course is absolutely down to the people that run it. Every single member of staff I came across - whether in my pre op assessment appointment, or during my surgical visit - was incredibly kind, patient, and so easy to get along with. I have had few good experiences when it comes to hospital visits, but the two times I've been at The Lister Hospital, I have spoken to and laughed with so many workers. My nurse Rasheed was an absolute gem, and was brilliant with my family when they came to the room after surgery. Whether it was the nurse that helped me to the loo, the people on reception, the physio - every single person I interacted with made it such a calm and positive experience, their kindness will stay with me so thank you very much

I had a really positive experience at the hospital during my recent surgery. From the moment I arrived, everything was organised, calm, and reassuring. The staff at every stage — reception, nursing, surgical, and aftercare — were friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive. The hospital itself was clean, comfortable, and well-run. I felt safe and well looked after throughout my stay. Any questions I had were answered clearly, and the team always made sure I understood what was happening and what to expect next. Overall, my experience couldn’t have been better. The care, communication, and compassion shown by everyone truly stood out. We took our 9 year old son to see Dr Narayanan. He has been experiencing symptoms of anxiety and potentially depression which were manifesting themselves as physical symptoms often. We wanted to rule out any physical ailment, however Dr Narayanan went considerably beyond our expectations and was able to help us consider options for our son’s current ADHD medication and other treatment and management options. He’s very quiet and lacks confidence and Dr Narayanan amazed me with her ability to bring him out of his shell and speak to him in a way which helped him to open up. Together with her, we now feel that we now have an expert who is owning our son’s treatment and care and supporting us where we need support. I can’t recommend her highly enough.

I was not sure what to expect as everything has been on a slow go. This Dr however, was calm, apologetic, kind and patient. She saw me. I was not just another hospital number. Dr Sala, made me feel comfortable, she listened to me, she gave me good interpretation and explanation, she spoke in detail about steps she will be taking to ensure that every avenue is explored to ensure nothing is missed. I felt so grateful that someone was finally listening. She examined me, I went for a blood test, (Thyroid included). I was given antibiotics to start just incase I have still got bacteria in my gut or causing inflammation. Overall I was well pleased with the service, and have gained my faith back in the NHS.

Dr. Nicholas was amazing- he came in prior to surgery and walked me through each step. Not only was he a comforting presence, his communication throughout surgery made it so that I knew everything that was going on through my entire c-section. I was able to tell him how I felt during surgery and after and he adjusted care as such. Dr. Nichols took the time to listen to my concerns from previous c-sections and our plans for pain management and reassured us every step of the way. He even took some wonderful photos of delivery on our phone! Dr. Nichols is not only wonderful at his job, but such a kind person who genuinely cares about his patients and their comfort both physical and mental.

I had micro-TESE surgery with Mr Alnajjar and the entire experience was exceptional. He successfully retrieved sperm for us, which has now given us the chance to move forward with IVF next year. What stood out most was how personal and reassuring his approach was. We had met him a few times before the procedure and he always made both me and my wife feel calm, confident, and fully informed. The follow-up care has been outstanding — nothing felt rushed, and every question was answered clearly. His PA and the communication throughout have also been first-class. A genuinely brilliant surgeon and a top professional. Highly recommended.

I recently had surgery at Spire Leicester Hospital. The medical staff were amazing, friendly, informative and they really helped put me at ease throughout my stay. However, the administrative side needs be improved, as it took several weeks of chasing before I finally received my booking confirmation. Additionally, after my large open inguinal hernia operation, I was discharged without being offered a wheelchair and had to walk down from the second floor to leave the hospital, which was difficult so soon after surgery. Overall, excellent clinical care, but room for improvement in administration and patient support on discharge.
