    In terms of booking I didn’t have the greatest experience. I filled out the form online the night before and got a call the next morning. It cut off before I could answer the phone. I called straight back but it rang out to answer phone. I must have called back more than 10 times that day over the course of a few hours but no response. I finally got through to someone in the afternoon, by this time all the appointments had gone. I was in desperate need of a blood test which had to be done on a certain day of my cycle, hence the urgency. The lady I got through to firstly wrongly assumed I was another patient (a cancer patient) which I thought was unprofessional, as I shared the same surname as another patient. She apologised for not answering the phone and said that she would ‘put me at the top of the list’ and treat me as ‘priority’ and would call me back to let me know if she can fit me in for a blood test. I waited for the rest of the day and never received a call back. I believe the way bookings are dealt with is highly unprofessional and does not reflect the service you say you aim to provide to your clients. I then decided not to keep chasing this appointment as I had a negative experience with the booking staff and the booking process. Two days later I received a call early in the morning which woke me up. The lady realised I was half asleep and apologised for the ‘early morning call’. She asked if I still wanted to book the blood test. I said I would let her know. After some consideration I decided to go ahead with the blood test even though I had missed the ideal window. I then called back and booked, the lady on the phone was evidently a young girl who may be new and clearly lacked customer service training. She was unable to answer basic questions during the booking process and came across as new and untrained. I was then sent an invoice which had an additional 30 pounds added onto the expected 150 charge. The invoice didn’t state what the 30 pounds was for. I called back just to check, and again the girl was unprofessional and could not clearly explain what the fee was for. I would like to stress that I am generally the most down to earth and open minded/non judgemental person. So when I give feedback it is generally from a good place and when I feel a service falls below expectations or standards. Clients pay a lot of money to MUMS for peace of mind and investigations into health concerns. The website suggests a certain level of care and service. I personally feel the booking process and professionalism of the booking staff is quite poor in terms of false promises, not being able to get through when calling over 10 times and untrained staff. However what I will say is when attending in person my experience was a lot better than I had expected given the above and it went quite smoothly in the clinic itself. Please train the young girl on the front desk as she comes across as unprofessional and disengaged even though I know this is not her intention. There is a certain level of customer service a confidence needed to be able to deal with bookings which can often be of a sensitive nature.

    I was informed in the email sent for my first appointment that the consultation would take approx one to one and a half hrs maybe more if I was having tests. I saw the consultant and had the tests, this took no more than 10-15 minutes. In my experience of having private consultation I don’t think this was a consultation, I was told someone will call me and give me details of the treatment, I was not given a time or day when this phone call would take place. I tried to ask questions about the treatment but was told they would explain all to me in the phone call. I called next day as I had other commitments the following days and weeks and may have missed their call. I was given the information about the treatment on the phone, I asked if I was paying for this phone call and was told that I would not be charged. I was charged and paid for the tests on the day, after the phone call I later received an invoice for the consultation of £300, so basically I was charged for a phone consultation as I don’t believe I got a consultation on the day that warranted this amount of money. I am really disappointed with this kind of service, I believe if I’m paying for a private consultation I should be given the time face to face so that I can ask questions and understand the treatment that I will be paying for. This was not NHS where you are only allocated a small amount of time, which is why I am so disappointed with this service and the costs which is unwarranted.

    This doctor (Mahesh) has completely transformed life with chronic constipation. The appointment started with a really thorough, calm discussion of a long history of symptoms, and for the first time everything felt properly listened to and joined up. The examination was focused and not excessive, just what was needed to work out the next steps. The colonoscopy was explained clearly beforehand, carried out gently, and felt very safe throughout, with clear results and what they meant. Afterwards, a newer laxative was recommended alongside very practical dietary changes and pre‑/probiotic advice, all tailored to day‑to‑day routines rather than some leaflets. ​ Since then, bowel habits have improved dramatically, pain and bloating are so much better, and normal life feels possible again. It genuinely feels like someone finally understood the problem and offered a long‑term plan rather than a quick fix, and I have a huge gratitude for the care and expertise given.

    Pleasant waiting area with self-service drinks available. Within an hour you are called and escorted into the preparation/recovery room where you are prepared for the operation and the procedure is explained including a visit from the surgeon to check if you have any questions. The operation takes place in the adjacent theatre where again efforts are made to keep you informed as to what’s happening and before you know it you are escorted back to your recovery area for water and a biscuit. Staff were pleasant and attentive at all times. Once thoroughly checked out you return to the waiting area to be collected by your escort who has already been called to say your are ready for collection. I was back home within 2 hours

    We were lucky enough to get into the appointment before our allotted time. Mr Mohammad seemed like a very nice person, but I felt very rushed, I wasn’t shown the MRI scan, The situation was not explained to us in depth,just offered options of an injection or surgery involving “metal work” which scared me somewhat. So I chose the injection as seemed a less scary choice to start with. We were told this would be put forward, then we left , all taking about five minutes, not really very reassuring. Hopefully I may get another chance for someone to explain what the operation with the “ metal work” would involve. So I would feel more confident with what needs to be done

    Mr Sedra is an amazing surgeon. He looked after my father very well. He is a surgeon with Ethics and he has excellent bedside manners and very empathic. From day 1 until my father was discharged he was updating us regularly about his progress and his recovery. He didn’t even charge us and waived his fees because I am a doctor and this is very rare and not many people do that. I can’t thank him more than that and he is a real gentleman and a great surgeon.
