The security and reception staff were absolutely wonderful - welcoming, professional, and efficient. When I went up to the 3rd-floor neurology department, there weren’t very clear directions on where to check in, but I eventually found the desk (ironically, not the easiest task for someone visiting a neurologist!). After checking in, I was seen quite promptly. The neurologist herself came out to collect me - something I didn’t realise until we were already in her office, as she hadn’t introduced herself. I think my presence uneased her and I even commented that I thought she was the porter, as that’s what I had seen with other patients being escorted in. Unfortunately, the appointment itself was disappointing. The neurologist came across as very judgmental and accusatory, suggesting that my symptoms were exaggerated or imagined, despite my clear explanations and the observations of my colleagues, doctors, specialists, and family who have witnessed my neurological decline. When she asked about my profession, she seemed skeptical that I could perform my job without issues, which was uncomfortable and disheartening. I have a follow-up appointment with a neuropsychiatrist, but honestly, I’m not looking forward to it. I can only hope they’ll be more open-minded and empathetic.

I had a number of appointments to see Mr Warr at the Nuffield, and it was always administered well and on time. On the day of the surgery there was initially some confusion on which hospital room I was assigned to but that was cleared up fairly quickly - it was 7am so perhaps a beginning of shift handover issue. The nurses were caring, professional, attentive and very friendly before and after the operation. The anaesthetist visited and was very clear explaining the process, friendly and reassuring. A very good experience. I also appreciated that my parents could be with me before the operation as I'm quite young and not used to being in hospital. Overall a very good experience. Thank you.

An Excellent experience all round from initial consultation with Mr Farndon right through to Day Surgery & re couperation the best thing I ever did despite some of the negative advice from my GP & others - it's Very Painful ....I wouldn't have it done again....I was fully informed by Mr Farndon - made me feel at ease both at consultation & final visit 6 weeks after surgery. Thank You so much Mr Farndon as I mentioned I can wear my fave shoes again 👏 but more importantly I'm back to doing what I do including exercise & general wellbeing ....that's a big thing when you have a Bunion as it starts to dictate ... I have been coming to Hope House since being diagnosed. I have seen multiple consultants, but everyone pails into insignificance compared to Andrew. The only reason that I attended Hope House is Andrew. Andrew is friendly, compassionate. He treats his patients as friends, which immediately puts you at ease. He goes beyond normal parameters to know his patients background and whats happening in their lives. He is extremely knowledgeable, and very understanding, explains things in layman's terms. There has been a period recently where Andrew wasn't available which affected a couple of my appointments, to the point I started to research alternative clinics

Jonathan was very helpful, he clearly explained the conditions in both my eyes, one with muscle problems, the other with astigmatism, plus both are long and short sighted and both have cataracts. Quite complicated but he really helped me understsnd it all! Also I was lucky there was a free slot for a cataract operation in my right eye the next day, which he also explained thoroughly, so kind and helpful, made me ferl far less nervous and more at ease about the treatment.

Saara Majid is my dentist. I cannot overpraise her attentiveness throughout the appointment. The main purpose was a filling, so a local numbing injection was required. There was minimal discomfort. Afterwards, Saara assisted me into my parka, led me to the patient toilet, waited until I emerged, conducted me back to reception to a suitable chair where I could await my taxi, prior to handing over to a receptionist.

Had MRI scan had to wait c30 mins later than booked time. Person after me was c50 mins after booked time. This was immediately in the morning (8:45am) as well so something went wrong. Perhaps need to stagged appointments and leave larger gaps between clients to give some slack other wise can get big delays down the line (me 30mins next person 50mins)
