I saw Mr Chahal yesterday after struggling with ankle problems since pregnancy, and more recently suffering two injuries that have caused my ankle to give way without warning. The pain and swelling have become overwhelming, especially from midday into the evening, and I finally knew it was time to seek help. From the moment I met Mr Chahal, I felt completely at ease. He was incredibly kind, calm, and transparent, taking the time to explain his thoughts clearly and compassionately. There was absolutely no pressure to make any decisions, and as someone who struggles with anxiety, this meant more to me than I can put into words. He explained possible causes and treatment options in a way that was reassuring rather than alarming, and I never once felt panicked. Sadly, some consultants can make you feel as though you’re being dramatic or exaggerating your symptoms, but Mr Chahal was the complete opposite. There was no judgement, only understanding, respect, and genuine care. I felt truly listened to, and that alone was incredibly comforting. Mr Chahal is everything you would hope for in a consultant. Calming, honest, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. He has a quiet confidence that immediately builds trust, and it’s clear he is an expert in his field. I left my appointment feeling hopeful, supported, and reassured that I am finally in the right hands. Thank you so much, Mr Chahal. Excellent bedside manner with a true desire to get to the bottom of a problem. Free from the often occurring "I am so brilliant vibes" that I at times got from other consultants. Refreshing down to earth, approachable, very friendly. Most importantly, excellent listening skills, does not try to convenience you of a diagnosis after only hearing a quarter but appears to be thorough before making up his mind. Excellent communicator, who gets a patient fully involved, showing pictures to explain and explaining what he sees on a screen. I initially was a bit apprehensive thinking, hmmm has not got 3 decades of experience like some practitioners I saw in the past. On reflection, a good thing, still greatly motivated to make a difference and passionate about what he does. Deos not leave you feel watching the clock (he went over time, thank you) or rushed. Overall so far a positive experience (first consultation). I usually don't leave long feedbacks but if someone "goes the extra mile", so will I. Most importantly, if you had negative experiences before with consultants causing you pain/flare ups in the night and following day(s) due to handling you roughly during an examination, then give Dr Raiman a try. He very carefully moved my limbs with utmost consideration during the necessary examination, which helps building trust.

I have recently had a hysterectomy performed by Professor Bunkheila. The operation was a great success and I cannot thank the Professor enough for his compassion and care from my initial appointment through to the post op consultation. Professor Bunkheila was the nicest gentleman to deal with, listened to all my concerns and was reassuring and professional when discussing all the pros and cons to having such a procedure. His kind, caring manner made me feel so comfortable and after many years of extreme pain and debilitating medical conditions, I felt finally that someone was actually listening to me and could make a difference. I was very poorly at my initial consultation and now feel 100% recovered and it has been truly life changing. Professor Bunkheila and his medical team of anaesthetists were wonderful on the two occasions of my surgery as I was very nervous, but both times they were so reassuring. All the staff were very kind and efficient, my personal ward room was clean and the catering was very good. I would also like to thank a particular gentleman called Anil who performed my pre operative assessment blood tests, I am very needle phobic and was terrified but he ensured that it was done swiftly and with such kindness towards me, I was so grateful.

The set-up was scruffy/down at heel. The reception staff appeared weary, little interaction and certainly no putting anyone at ease. The approach to the outside of the building is unwelcoming and unclear. Far too many stairs with no assistance offered or given. No courteous instructions, no graciousness. The waiting room was full of materials to be used in decorating/ construction …. Maybe they thought the over large, badly adhered to the wall TV playing the same continuous “Winter” loop made up for feeling very much an inconvenience. One of the most annoying things is when you explain you’re deaf they say and they did “Oh we’ll speak loudly.” Empathy dictates clarity and pace NOT volume ( training needed in several areas ) seats in waiting area uncomfortable - nowhere to place/rest anything.

Mr Dobson saw me recently for ongoing pain I have had in my right knee. He had looked after me previously for a skiing injury to the same knee and I fully trusted his expertise in a new issue. He was extremely polite and professional and diagnosed a medial meniscal tear. My investigations were prompt and he went out of his way to find a treatment date that was convenient for me. I’m now 3 months post arthroscopic debridment and microfracture and I am pain free with full movement and have started running and training again. Couldn’t be happier with the treatment and fully recommend him!

My eye condition has stabilised and improved greatly and I genuinely feel extremely lucky to have been under his care . I recently saw Mr Shakir Hussain for a check up after he did a complex hip replacement. He was as delighted as I was to be able to walk into his consulting room pain free as previously I had to use a wheelchair to get about. I cannot thank him enough as I was first diagnosed in my local hospital and was told my hip was to stay fractured and nothing could be done. There was no way I could have a lifestyle that befits a woman of 67.

Staff and facilities were amazing. The only thing I felt could be improved was the food. Generally it felt like there was quantity over quality. I had overcooked fish. I selected a starter of prawn and avocado salad one day as I wasn’t overly hungry and was presented with a huge bowl of salad which was swimming in the dressing which wasn’t pleasant. As I say everything else was amazing I just expected the food to match the service.
