The surgery itself was great and completed successfully, however, the wait time and ward care was not good. I was phoned around 7pm the evening before my appointment to come in earlier in the morning for the surgery (the first slot at 7.30) but by the time I was called for surgery it was after 2pm. I was given one glass of water to sip at approx 9am which wasn't refilled so by the time I went into surgery I was dehydrated and my vein had collapsed. When returning from surgery I had a reaction to the drugs where blood pressure dropped when sitting up, the nurses wouldn't listen and kept trying to make me stand when I couldn't sit up all the way. It got to the point where my partner had to intervene and speak to the registered nurse. They told me they had to get me out as it was a day surgery (which I understand) but as I physically couldn't sit or stand they ignored what we were saying so they could discharge where it may not have been in my best interests to do so. I ended up staying the night after my partner intervened and the night staff were great and I experienced a significant raise in care.

I felt supported and involved throughout the consultation, with clear explanations and thoughtful discussion around my options. Since the appointment, I honestly cannot believe the difference I feel within myself. The impact on my wellbeing has been profound, and I feel much more settled, hopeful and connected to my body. Dr Burgin’s approach is everything you would hope for in menopause care: person-centred, informed and deeply respectful. I am incredibly grateful for her support and would wholeheartedly recommend her to anyone navigating PMDD or their perimenopause journey.

Dr Steadman provided outstanding care throughout my assessment and treatment. He took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, explained every test and result in a clear, reassuring way, and never made me feel rushed. His calm manner and expertise in cardiac imaging gave me great confidence that I was receiving the best possible evaluation of my heart health. From the initial consultation through to follow‑up, the whole process was extremely well organised and efficient, and communication with his team (including appointment booking and results) was excellent. Thanks to his thorough approach and clear advice, I now feel reassured and understand exactly how to manage my condition going forward. I would have no hesitation in highly recommending Dr Steadman to anyone needing a cardiologist.

I am extremely happy with the care and surgical work provided by Mr Marzook. He was professional, approachable, and took great care to explain clearly what the procedure would involve, which gave me a great deal of confidence going into surgery. His confidence and expertise were fully borne out by the outcome. My hernia has been successfully repaired despite being a complex case requiring full abdominal wall reconstruction and mesh repair, following two previous unsuccessful surgeries. As well as resolving the hernia itself, I have also experienced additional gastrointestinal benefits as a result of the repair, including a noticeable improvement in the gastroparesis I had previously been experiencing. I am delighted with the outcome and cannot recommend Mr Marzook highly enough.

My experience at the McIndoe centre was incredible. Throughout my surgery and stay the entire team were incredibly kind and caring. I was given plenty of reassurance prior to my surgery, everyone involved during my surgery was incredibly professional and the aftercare following my surgery was incredible. All of my nurses were incredibly kind and helpful and made the process so much easier. I had a great private room and bathroom, and the food was also great! Cannot recommend the McIndoe centre enough, they will be my first choice should I have any more procedures in future

From the big friendly smile on Steve Lewis' face as he opened the waiting room door and called me into his consulting room I knew we would get on well. He soon realised that I was the sort of patient who wanted to know exactly what he would do to correct my deviated septum and he spent time in explaining the procedure and the recovery. He has done a great job and the difference it has made is fantastic. Next step is to get back my sense of smell and taste, a journey that he has started me on and has fully explained to me the chances of achieving. Thank you Steve.

The ACE facility was very impressive with sleek and modern finishes, and sensitively designed for allergy with all shared areas wipable and allergen-free. As a mother of a young baby, it was also great to see the centre ideally set up for kids and babies with easy pram access everywhere and multiple baby change facilities. The centre also offered all allergy-related support services (blood tests, pharmacy, dermatology) under one roof, saving me from having to run around to get my child everything needed.

I had top surgery with Mr Grover. The initial online appointment was very informative, he ran through all my options, what I wanted and what the risks were. He covered this again at my first in person appointment, was very friendly. On the day of my surgery he came to see how I was feeling about the surgery, whether I had any concerns, and answered any last questions I had. I'm very happy with the results of the surgery and would recommend Grover.

My daughter had a general anaesthetic with Dr. Oluseye Balogun, and everything went very smoothly. He is extremely experienced with children and showed great patience throughout the entire process. He took the time to explain everything clearly and helped put both my daughter and us at ease. We felt confident and well cared for from start to finish. I would highly recommend him to any parent whose child requires anaesthetic care.

Friendly staff at Main Reception who gave clear directions to Imaging Department. Department staff were friendly, professional and efficient. Radiographer was great - clear with his questions and explanations. Changing room was a good size, but would benefit from redecoration and coat hooks/hangers would be useful. Overall, a good experience, but would have liked the report to have been sent to the referrer quicker.

Even though there was an error with the theatre not being booked correctly the team did everything to ensure that the change of time was communicated. They looked after me and I cannot fault anyone on the team who rescued what could have been a very stressful event and made it right.
