I started seeing Dr Kat in February 2025 after she was highly recommended by a friend, and from my very first appointment I felt completely comfortable and safe in her hands. IVF was a new world and I was clueless, she has quite literally held my hand throughout the entire process. I had some complications along my journey - endometriosis, a cyst inside my right ovary thought to be an endometrioma but was actually a borderline tumour, she recommended specialist surgeons and Kat checked in on me at every stage of the surgery and recovery, going far beyond what you’d ever expect from a fertility doctor. What makes Dr Kat truly exceptional is the personal, consistent care she provides. At bigger clinics, you might only see your doctor a handful of times and get passed between different people. With Kat, it’s the opposite. She genuinely cares, knows every detail of your case, and you always feel like a priority rather than a number. Thanks to her support and expertise, I am now almost 11 weeks pregnant and have officially graduated from the IVF clinic. It was a very emotional goodbye, Kat has been the biggest and best support I could have imagined, and I honestly couldn’t picture going through this journey with anyone else.

By this year, most mornings took me 30–90 minutes just to feel well enough to leave the house, and I was still coughing throughout the day. I saw countless doctors and even ended up in A&E several times, but nothing truly helped. Finally, I decided to go private and booked an appointment with Dr. Amran — and I am so grateful I did. Within minutes of explaining my history, she understood exactly what was going on and knew precisely what treatment I needed. Thanks to her, my chest now feels the way it did back in 2019. She is an exceptional doctor: knowledgeable, compassionate, patient, and genuinely invested in the people she treats. I took my daughter for a blood test today with Dr. Nimah Bholah, and we had an outstanding experience. My daughter has had difficult and painful blood draws in the past, so she was quite nervous. But Dr. Bholah was incredibly reassuring, gentle, and patient throughout the whole process. To our surprise, my daughter felt no pain or discomfort at all, it was the most relaxed she has ever been during a blood test. Dr. Bholah explained everything clearly, helped her feel at ease, and showed real care and professionalism. My daughter even said she would happily come back to see the same doctor again whenever she needs blood work. That alone says everything about the quality of care we received. Thank you, Dr. Bholah, for making what is usually a stressful experience into such a positive one. Truly exceptional service.

The staff were lovely, so kind and understanding which has been thoroughly appreciated. However, some frustration noted around wait times. While it is appreciated that diagnostics are a lengthy process and take time, I found issues where my assessments were delayed due to Skylight not having all the information from the forms I had already completed, and after submitting my forms I was not told that all of the information had not been received until I reached out and chased my application due to the time frames I was given being overdue. To improve this experience, more communication on what has and hasn’t been received would improve the experience and shorten some people’s wait times, as my wait time was partially increased due to lack of communication over forms I had or hadn’t filled in.

The appointment appeared on My Chart with very little information about who originated it and what its purpose was. Phone calls to the appointments team produced no further information. We thought it could be bad news that had to be communicated face-to-face. The journey cost £60 and necessarily exposed me to some infection risk. When we got there and were directed to outpatients, we were not called. In the end we discovered that a senior nurse called Muriel was expecting a telephone consultation, which is what we actually did in the outpatients area. I think you need to ensure that appointments do not go on the My Chart system unless it is clear what the purpose of the appointment is and who has originated it.

Following my initial consultation I was offered a date for my surgery which was only two weeks ahead which completely surprised me as I expected a much longer wait I attended my surgery and was treated with courtesy and respect by all of the staff I encountered I was put at ease both before and during the procedure my surgeon My discharge nurse explained clearly what I needed to do with my medication and also how to keep my eye clean I received a phone call from a nurse the day after my surgery checking that everything was okay. I have nothing but positive things to say about the whole experience and would recommend Newmedica to all of my family and friends.

They are a fantastic team!

We had an amazing experience with our oral and maxillofacial surgeon consultant. He was exceptionally calm and explained every step of the procedure clearly, which made us feel comfortable throughout. He was also very detailed with the diagnosis, ensuring we fully understood the situation and the recommended treatment. After the procedure, he provided thorough after-care instructions and took the time to answer all our questions. He was very polite, highly trained, and truly professional in every way. Today I came to the practice to visit Dr Andy Brown. I was initially quite nervous however every member of staff was so welcoming and comforting. Upon entering I was greeted by the front of house and offered a hot drink. The waiting room was soothing and I didn’t have to wait very long before the nurse called me in. I expressed my concerns and worries and Dr Andy talked me through all off them and really reassured me. He gave me options and explained them all thoroughly as well as giving me advice on what I need. I highly recommend going to him.
