Very positive experience. I recently took my mother to see Dr Christopher Lawrence and we were both very impressed. He was professional, attentive, and took the time to explain everything clearly, which made us feel reassured and well cared for. The whole process was smooth and efficient. Highly recommended.
Dr Lawrence was very knowledgeable, thorough, helpful and personable. Would highly recommend

Much appreciated
I was worried about my estimated gfr reading after a routine blood test showed it dropped a little. I was anxious and contacted herts kidney specialist and was quickly seen by Dr Lawrence on a weekend. I walked in anxious but after his careful explanation of what he thought was happening I felt reassured and cared for once leaving. On the same day Dr Lawrence also carried out any tests I needed and informed me all was well by the afternoon allowing me to enjoy my weekend and afternoon tea! I am very grateful to Dr Lawrence and can say his care is exceptional compared to any other consultant I have seen. Thank you Dr Lawrence.

Thank you for leaving a review - much appreciated and glad you managed to enjoy the afternoon!

I’m a consultant nephrologist and I’m often asked ‘Do I need to follow a renal diet?’ As usual the answer is ‘it depends!’ With normal kidney function or mild to moderately reduced kidney function I advise people to follow a low to no salt diet, avoid processed foods, reduce intake of refined carbohydrates especially fast acting ones like sugar and strive to maintain a healthy weight. As kidney function declines people@may be asked, depending on blood test results to reduce the intake of potassium or phosphate containing foods but this isn’t because it’s good for the kidneys it’s because the blood tests show that the kidneys are struggling to handle or remove these salts from the blood and high levels of these salts can be bad for you. Why can’t people with kidney problems (or heart problems, or asthma or gastric ulcers) take common painkillers like ibuprofen (non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or NSAIDs)? Did you know that this advice applies to topical gels and ointments, not just tablets? NSAIDs can cause vasoconstriction by interfering with prostaglandin synthesis, which plays a role in maintaining blood vessel dilation. Vasoconstriction in the kidney can limit the supply of blood, oxygen and nutrients to the energy dependent processes of the kidneys. #kidneyhealth #kidneyhealthtips #kidneyhealthtipsvideos #kidneyweek #kidneydiseaseawareness #doctify @onehatfield @phoenixhospitalgroup @spire.healthcare @doctify
