Miss Lucy Simmons

Miss Lucy Simmons is a highly respected Consultant Urological Surgeon with a national reputation in the management of prostate cancer.

Lucy completed her medical degree at Newcastle University and undertook her foundation training in the region before moving to the South West for both her core surgical and specialist urology training. She later gained advanced fellowship experience in prostate diagnostics and focal therapy at University College London, developing her expertise in MRI-targeted biopsy and emerging focal treatments. She was appointed as a Consultant Urologist at the Royal United Hospital in Bath, where she now leads the South West regional focal therapy service for prostate cancer. 

Lucy has published and presented extensively on focal therapy, prostate imaging, and shared decision-making in prostate cancer care. Her research and clinical insights have led to invitations to speak at major national urology conferences, and she remains closely involved in evaluating and implementing new technologies that aim to improve outcomes and preserve quality of life for men with prostate cancer.
