I arrived on time at 10.55 for an 11 am appointment and 40 mins later than my appointment I asked if Mr Patel was running late. Staff checked and came back to me saying it was a 40 mins delay and I was next. It's really noisy in the waiting area so I felt I needed to pay attention for my consultant to call my name. Could you have an electronic board to help visually with who is next and for information about running late etc. I had another appointment so I was pretty stressed about getting to it. I also was wanting a drink from the cafe but felt I needed to stay out in case I was called.

I did not enjoy waiting 4 hours until my operation and listening to a loud electric drill at work. I felt it was too early for discharge as there is a lot to take in when you are still a little hazy from the operation. It would have been nice to have had a quick visit from Mr. Malek after the operation. Not enough information about the amount of pain to expect in the first 2 weeks after the operation. No helpful apparatus provided on discharge, so had to borrow raised toilet seats, sliders for a chair and a device for putting socks on.

Mr Ulbricht gave the impression that the tests and follow up and procedure delivery would be expedited, efficient and smooth. In reality at every step I had to follow-up multiple times to get scans booked, to get diagnotic notes prepared (took almost 3 weeks), and now to schedule the procedure (still waiting 4 weeks on). The process doesn't work. I have had consultations with other consultants and this is the worst I have ever encountered

Before getting a steroid injection everything was explained by the doctor including possible side effects from the injection. Using the ultrasound to inject the steroid the doctor asked me if there was anything that was sore ,very professional in cleansing the area , dressing the area after getting the steroid and reassuring me if there were any problems to let him know. Just waiting for follow up call tomorrow and one again next week.
