I was extremely well looked after throughout my stay at Charing Cross Hospital. I was booked in for my HiFu treatment on the left side of my prostate and my consultant explained fully what to expect. After surgery, my consultant came to see me & advised me that everything went well and I would be having a follow up call in 3 months to review PSA results and a further MRI. I have been very well looked after by Mr Joseph Gabriel and all the support team throughout my visit. Thank you.

I'm pleased to have collaborated with @bensnaturalhealth on a series of videos raising awareness of prostate cancer, the most common cancer in men in the UK and the second most common cancer worldwide. As a prostate cancer surgeon, every day I see patients who had no symptoms at all, and are shocked to receive a prostate cancer diagnosis. For many, going to their GP to be checked and referred on to a specialist has saved their lives. The process of being investigated and treated for many men can be scary, stigmatised and full of unknowns. This series will aim to demystify and to explain what men can expect throughout their journey: "A lot of men avoid getting checked for prostate cancer because they assume it will be uncomfortable, embarrassing, or unnecessary. But one of the biggest misunderstandings is that early prostate checks often start with a simple conversation and a PSA blood test. The earlier men pay attention to changes in their urinary health, family history, or symptoms, the better informed they can be about their options. Getting checked isn’t about fear, it’s about staying proactive with your health. 💪 #menshealth #prostatecancerawareness #healthquestions".

Age, family history, ethnicity, and lifestyle habits can all play a role in prostate health over time. The good news? Awareness, regular check-ins, movement, nutrition, and paying attention to changes in your body all matter when it comes to healthy aging. 🌿 #prostatecancerawareness #riskfactors #menshealth #prostatehealth #prostatecancer".

"Can you actually live without a prostate? 🤔 It’s one of the most common questions men ask after hearing about prostate surgery or prostate cancer treatment. The answer surprises a lot of people. This reel breaks down what men should actually know, without the fear or confusion that usually surrounds the topic. #menshealth #prostatehealth #prostatecancerawareness #prostatecancer #menshealthawareness" in collaboration with @bensnaturalhealth

One of the biggest questions men have after prostate cancer treatment is one that often doesn’t get talked about enough: “What happens to my sex life?” The reality is that prostate surgery can affect sexual function, but it doesn’t mean intimacy is over. Recovery looks different for every man. Factors such as age, overall health, the type of treatment received, and nerve preservation during surgery (nerve-sparing prostatectomy and Retzius-sparing prostatectomy) can all play a role. The most important thing to know? 👇 There are treatment options, support strategies, and healthcare professionals who can help men navigate this part of recovery. You’re not expected to figure it out alone. These conversations can feel uncomfortable, but they’re an important part of prostate cancer awareness and recovery. Have you found that men are becoming more open about discussing prostate health? Let us know in the comments. #menshealth #prostatehealth #prostaterelief #prostateawareness #prostatesurgery

"Can a healthy lifestyle actually reduce the risk of prostate cancer? It’s a question a lot of men over 50 are starting to ask, and the answer isn’t black and white. More than 12,000 men die from prostate cancer every year in the UK. The reality is that awareness still isn’t where it needs to be. The more men who speak up, get informed, and get checked when appropriate, the more lives can be impacted. Have you noticed more people talking about prostate cancer recently? 👇 #menshealth #prostatecancerawareness #prostatehealth #prostatecancer #healthquestions" @bensnaturalhealth
